Update: Webtop works fine on my LapDock but will not start (i.e. will not give the menu item) on the HD Dock. This has only been the case since the latest upgrade.I have not been able to use my dock since the latest update - Webtop is not on the selection list when inserted.
View 2 RepliesI have the Motorola BT keyboard with mousepad, Photon, and HD dock.Keyboard and mouse pointer work fine when phone is in the mode mirroring the phone display, but when in Webtop, only the mousepad works. None of the other keys function. That is, I can go to text messaging with the mouse, but when I get there, can't type anything. Can go to the google search section, and get the flashing cursor, but can't type anything.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy problem is I cannot use any keyboard in Webtop mode.I have an MB855 Photon 4G with the HD Dock and a Motorola keyboard w/trackpad.I can connect to the dock fine and open the Webtop application, shows up on my TV and looks dandy. Then I turn on Bluetooth and pair the keyboard (Motorola 89507 wireless keyboard with trackpad) with the phone. It requests a numeric code which I enter on the keyboard and hit enter- presto.Now the screen on the phone changes to a clock and I can control the cursor through the trackpad on the keyboard. BUT no matter what I do the keyboard will not type letters. No keys on the keyboard appear to have any functionality.At this point I undocked the phone, then the keyboard works fine!Plug it back into the dock and -whoop- right back to no keyboard.At this point I decided to try my Logitech mouse & keyboard. I plugged in a Logitech unifying receiver into the back of the HD Dock and the screen flashed- but nothing else.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI finally received the docking station, keyboard, etc.. but when docking my only options are Photo gallery, Music, and Mirror -- no Webtop.If I manually launch the Webtop Connector application, I simply get two tabs: "Webtop Sessions" and "Webtop Bookmarks" -- and the Sessions tab says, "No webtop web pages to resume; an a link to "Learn more about Motorola webtop." -- which is just a video that trys to tell me what great capability I'll have once it actually works.When I check the running services and applications (under Manage Applications), there is a Webtop service, but it shows 0.00B - presuming that it means it is not running or taking up space; and a Webtop Connector application showing 28.00KB.

As an owner, I find that the original lapdock is very cool in concept, but limited in actual use. An upgrade program would help influence customer loyalty and offer Motorola an opportunity for some very good promotion of the new product
View 1 Replies View RelatedHardware is only as good as its software. It would seem many of the issues I'm having with my lapdock browser would be cured if it was running the latest versions of flash or if the browser itself was current.
I know Matt stated in the rumors section that ICS is moving along and should be out whenever they can get it ready, so here is my question. Will the lapdock browser be updated in that upgrade?(isn't that seperate from the operating system?)
Will the Flash be updated for the lapdock as well? (it's packaged in the browser isn't it?) Lastly, not entirely unrelated...
why not have a lapdock market place for apps? (i hate loading an app and finding it only runs on the phone dashboard)
Since the Razr Maxx ICS upgrade the camera on the lapdock 500 is not working. When I try to start the Camera app it says "Camera is not supported in this mode" and there is no way to change it.
View 12 Replies View RelatedOk, I set my Photon in the webtop dock, but just to charge on my desk, not using the webtop program. It used to display a choice of "Widget Clock" or Webtop, and it no longer does. Maybe I clicked the don't ask again box last time? I do not remember, it's been a few weeks since I used the dock. Anyway I am SURE this is a simple setting somewhere, but I cannot, for the life of me, find it to turn the selection screen back on. I cleared the cache and settings, still no selection screen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI note that despite having a nearly empty micro-SD card, that the HD station only reserves a small amount of memory for webtop operation.That means I get "out of memory" issues relatively quickly.Can this be cured by adding a USB Flash Drive to the webtop? Or is that dedicated memory all we get to work with, (I am hoping that the addition of a USB flashdrive to the HD station will fix this - otherwise why the three USB ports? .
View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased a Targus Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard (has the Android logo and claims compatibility). It paired and connected without any issues and works with all of the apps that I have tried (gmail, text client, Docs To Go, etc.). It also works with Webtop apps, including Citrix (which is why I needed the keyboard).The problem is that when the keyboard is connected, Webtop will randomly crash and re-start (Motorola logo appears and Webtop re-initializes). I have tried this many times, with and without the keyboard and it is definitely related to having the keyboard connected. Sometimes it will crash right away, while other times it will last 2 or 3 mins. It always fails with 5 mins.
I have tried it using 4G (mine will go to 3G at times due to my area) only (WIFI off) and did not effect the crashing (though WIFI does seem to have conflicts with Bluetooth being on).Has anyone successfully had a Bluetooth keyboard work? Is there a setting I am missing?
I recently bought the Webtop travel adapter for use with my VZW Droid RAZR and 1080p TV. I have a probelm with the Status Bar atop the display. About once per second it will disappear and then a second later reappear. If a window is maximized, it will be resized back/forth. It is truly annoying. It is happening with multiple TV's so it's not an HDMI issue. During the time the Status Bar is visible, nothing within it is clickable. I am speculating that it is loading then crashing then loading again but never fully initalizes to where anything is clickable and the service is caught in a restart loop.
Fireforx and the mobile view both work just fine on their own so long as they don't cross into the status bar area and their windows will get bumped up/down as it appears/disappears. I had considered a lapdock but can't justify the money, especially if it doesn't work properly. I'll try using aLogcat to see if I can glean anything form it and ship some logs off to Moto support.
How do I get the latest Citrix Receiver installed on my webtop? I have updated the citrix receiver on the phone via the market and it works fine with our corporate Citrix server. But the webtop appears to be a different install of the receiver and it does not work with our Citrix servers. When starting the application the receiver modal appears the windows start song plays then it just goes away.

I was reading the online guideand saw the about adding web apps to the dock compared to adding a bookmark to the dock from this page: http://www.motorola.com/hc/5871/global/wt/en-us/help.aspx?id=d1e89 in the Using Web Apps sectionI don't know if it has changed since Gingerbread came out but when I try to add an app/bookmark to the dock there is no option to set it as a web app or bookmark seems they all get added as bookmarks.

No explanation as to WHICH username or password and no info when it fails as to what it is looking for. She told me it would take 3 days once it go to them. Which I might point out was NOT what we were told about it being end-user upgradable to 4G once it came out.Verizon's info shows you how to do a backup and then pack it for shipping, but no info on how to GET the shipping materials or address.
I called VZW today and the tech in Enterprise Support didn't know.I'm about to hop onto the Verizon website and use my personal account an initiate a chat session to find out.
Why isn't Phase 3- Testing ever identified. It seems to be either Phase 1,2,4 but never 3. I would like to know what phones are being tested,then at least gives you a better ideal of whats going on and possibly when or if it will be updated.Don't put (Phase3) if your not going to share the info/status!Does "soak testing" equal/ represents "phase 3-testing"?

Seems ICS has been pushed up to Moto XYBoard 10.1; per rumors/leaked info and official sites, etc. They were doing good there for awhile, what happened? Mine seems to hang at night (seemingly about 20min after I plug it in for charging) and stays on yesterdays date and time until somehow it corrects itself the next day. There is no way to "activate it" or make it correct itself. All other clocks and calendars are correct.

The phone reboots itself sometimes when I try to make or receive a phone call (2 or 3 times a day). I know this is happening to other Photon owners and I already tried the factory reset twice. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a major issue with my corporate exchange calendar. If I accept an invitation to a meeting, the phone makes me the organizer of the meeting. This syncs back to my corporate calendar. This is obviously completely wrong. If I delete the meeting on my phone, or on my computer, it sends out a message to everyone that was on the meeting saying that it was cancelled. If I need to adjust the meeting only on my calendar, it sends out an update to everyone. It has caused a lot of confusion for me and my work colleagues.

My girlfriend has called me for the past three days and she says my phone rings and rings and goes to voicemail. I have Sprint Service. I am not using TeleNav or any other navagation, I am just using the GPS mode and Bluetooth is also running. I dont have any other issues with not receiving incoming calls unless its in the dock.
