I used RSD lite on my w510, everytime it gets stuck on "PLEASE MANUALLY POWER UP THIS PHONE". I remove the battery, put it back in.. RSD shows "Success". The phone wont power up, the keypad blinks and thats it. I can only enter the boot loader. What am i doing wrong?
View 1 RepliesWhen I turn my phone on in the morning it will boot up fine. Then a few minutes later its "dead". (it never did this before the update).
I end up having to pull the battery. Then power it up again. and it will usually die again. After the 3rd time it seems ok.
Also it still comes on after shutting down once in a while. Not every night tho.
I've just started getting a problem where a certain area of the touchscreen doesn't register the input. For instance, I cannot get the letter "d". As I move my finger very slightly I will get either "s" or "f", but not "d" inbetween. However if I hold down and slide across, the d will register, at least sometimes. Surprisingly I have problems with the same letter in either portrait or landscape mode, which is a different place on the keyboard.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I tried to restore the defaults by reflashing it with rsd lite, it ran a time, but my pc crashed. The restore went fine, but the connectivity was dead. when i tried to reflash, i got a new not known device called Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 and rsd failed. When i've done that before it always went fine... only this time not. I searched a lot in the net, but didn't found a way to recover it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a moto z6tv that died on me when left in a raincoat pocket that filled up with water during Atlanta's floods a while back.Now, I can connect that phone to my pc with a USB cable and it comes on enough to read from -- I get no display or sound, but I can browse the file system with Bitpim.
If anyone can tell me what files/folders the NOTEPAD notes and voice notes (sounds) would be in, I am trying to see if that phone contains a VERY important note I wrote or recorded, to myself, some time ago (I have a lousy memory, so I record notes to myself constantly). AND, if the file might be in one of those protected BREWMOD folders -- how I can get it off.
A 2nd atrix in my house recently had a keyboard issue which prevented using the keyboard in the portrait mode. It responded but not correctly. Eagle328 suggested downloading another keyboard, which solved the keyboard use problem so that we can at least use it in portrait mode.
We have now realized that a specific area of the display on all home screens is "dead."
That is, if you divided the screen into 5 equal sections from top to bottom, the second section does not respond anywhere from left to right of that section.
Example 1: if you had your home page filled with app icons, you would have 20 icons. In the second row of icons (from the top), not one of the 4 would respond. All others would act normally.
Example 2: If you had 4 notifications and you pulled the screen down, you could tap the first one, the third one, and the fourth one and get a response...but the 2nd one would not respond because it ends up in that second section of the screen.
I'm thinking it is time to take the phone to the AT&T store, but wanted to throw this out first. As with most of you, this phone is used for business, and would be extremely inconvenient to take into town,... but afraid it may be that time.
Obtained my Droid3 two weeks ago and I'm now finding that it will not charge.Long story short: I did not charge my device for 2 days straight, upon complete epletion of the battery's power I hooked it upto the wall charger and noticed that the screen turned on with the droid symbol and subsequently the charging icon. I left it to charge, and after a while when it was upto 15% I attempted to turn it on by pressing the power button (without holding it down), which caused the screen to go black and ceased the charging.ow whenever I try to charge the device via the wall charger, the white charging LED (between the microUSB and miniHDMI inputs) turns on occasionally and remains there for an hour, after which it goes off again. When I try to charge via the computer the same thing happens, except after 45min or so of charging, the device repeatedly connects and disconnects from the computer USB (the usb connection and disconnection sounds ping repeatedly until I unplug the device). This also happens when I try and turn on the device while charging via USB.
Normally after 45min of charging from the computer the device will turn on, with the Droid logo appearing and system activated. Now it will not turn on at all.I have tried removing the battery from the device for at least a min and then recharging, I've also tried removing and re-inserting the battery while the Droid3 is connected to the charger to no avail. To replicate the situation, I've left the battery without charging for a period of 48 hours, and then tried to charge it again via wall charger; same problem: the white LED turned on for about an hour and then went out. The device did not turn on this time. My suspiscions are on the battery..The phone is a great piece of hardware and I've grown to love it, yet I had honestly no idea it would be susceptible to such trivial conditions 3 weeks out of the box. I've ordered an extended battery just in case
My tablet (wi-fi only ) showed there is update ( build HTK55D ). I started update. Downloaded and need to reboot. I select reboot. After that, tablet never start again.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI left my atrix charging at night and when i woke up the next day, the phone is off and wont turn on. Stuff I tried:
- Pulling the battery out,
- Charging with another chargers
- Charging the battery with an external battery charger
- Using a tester to see the battery voltage(it was OK)
- Connecting to the computer via USB (solid green led no charge, nor detected by computer)
It wont even turn on, show any errors or messages or leds, my atrix just became a brick by itself out of nowhere, it didnt get wet or fall down or anything like that.
Motorola Droid Turbo (v. 1) Ballistic - I have a dead spot on the upper left hand corner of the screen, annoyingly right where a menu or "back" navigation button usually is in an app. I have confirmed this one spot is dead to the touch with a screen tester. When I turn my phone off and back on, it reactivates the spot for a time, then eventually it goes dead again. This phone is less than 2 weeks old...I just got my settings just the way I like them.

Windows XP SP3 recognizes phone when plugged in with proper USB cable (Motorola OEM cable for this phone).Clients husbands phone, screen went dark, AT&T said they would have to repair the phone before being able to pull off contact list and photos. Plus charge for the process of pulling off. Right.First thing I noticed, if I plug the USB cable into the phone, then into the USB port on PC while phone is OFF, the outside screen lights up and inside screen lights up with HELLOMOTO splash screen, after a few moments, both screens go dark and will not come back on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI noticed that my LCD has a column of dark pixels when watching movies, when certain colors pass by. This prompted me to check it by running a couple dead pixel test screens. When I show pure red and blue screens, I can see the same column of pixels (or subpixels) stay black. By this, I mean an entire column of pixels, top to bottom. The pink/magenta screen is also affected but I assume this is because of the red subpixels. No other colors (white, black, yellow, green) are affected. If this was a single pixel, sure, I'd let it go. But having this many pixels be dead really bugs me. The problem is, however, that I bought this handset secondhand (off craigslist) and don't have the original receipt at hand. (therefore I have no warranty).

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've updated my N97 wth v2.2 about a week ago or so. There was no problem updating. After the udate though, i started experiencing some problems. The phone kept restarting itself. As it restarts, a few lines (similiar to atomic absorptions spectra lines) appear on the screen. This bothered me, so i thought i'd reinstall the update. The update started successfully until the phone restarted but never waked up! Before this tho, the update kept failing (showing error that my phone was longer connected, I'm using OVI suite 2.2.0.245 ), but I kept disconnection the usb till the update started successfully. So what I want to tell you guys is that, watch out for v2.2 issues.

In a sudden I found that the BB is not working!! Black screen, I removed the battery for several times and it was rebooting only 1/4 and gets stuck, thought of removing the sim card to but I got the same result. Laptop battery died (lesson taught, and well noted), And powie. Wont power on, wont go into Emergency mode. Charger, USB Wire, nothing makes any movement, sound, nothing.. bricked. Tried numerous batteries & cords. I have 5 of these and would like to get them out of my hair. I am not attempting to sell them on here, rather just any ideas on how to get these repaired.. if possible.

When using the built-in Live Search application or the updated Bing application, trying to use the GPS results in a "Getting position..." message that eventually times out. It seems odd the rest of the phone would keep working 100% normally. So far I've just hard reset it, but with the same problem. My only ideas are to 1) reflash the firmware, or 2) look for disassembly instructions and hope some part of the antenna came loose once when I dropped it.Does this make sense?Would anybody who knows the guts of the 6800 tell me if taking it apart would be a waste of time?
