My 11 year old son's phone may have died? I cannot get it to come on at all. I've tried leaving it charging overnight...nothing. I've tried taking out the sim card and battery for 30 minutes...nothing.
View 3 RepliesI've just received my Galaxy S2, the first android phone I've ever owned. I've been advised to charge the battery for several hours the first time. When I plugged in the battery charger the battery charging icon appears for about 1 minute and then the screen goes completely dead when the charger is plugged in! Every phone I've had since the mid 90s constantly shows a battery symbol charging throughout the charging process.Is there something wrong with my phone or charger or does the Galaxy S2 not show anything on the screen when charging up?

When it restarted, I had the safe mode thing in the bottom left corner, and most of my folders are now gone. The apps are still in my app listing, but are gone from my main screens...
My IPhone just went dead for reasons I cant understand.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've updated my N97 wth v2.2 about a week ago or so. There was no problem updating. After the udate though, i started experiencing some problems. The phone kept restarting itself. As it restarts, a few lines (similiar to atomic absorptions spectra lines) appear on the screen. This bothered me, so i thought i'd reinstall the update. The update started successfully until the phone restarted but never waked up! Before this tho, the update kept failing (showing error that my phone was longer connected, I'm using OVI suite 2.2.0.245 ), but I kept disconnection the usb till the update started successfully. So what I want to tell you guys is that, watch out for v2.2 issues.

Advisory message after s/w download was that it may take 2 hours, but when i tried to boot device this morning it is completely dead. In a sudden I found that the BB is not working!! Black screen, I removed the battery for several times and it was rebooting only 1/4 and gets stuck, thought of removing the sim card to but I got the same result. I tried to charge the battery but the mobile didn't work to! I bought a new battery it worked for seconds but then it stopped for good! So, the mobile is totally dead, the red light is not blinking at all !

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot put it any better than that. I flashed it with a prl, directly after an upgrade to the newest Verizon firmware from a 4 button-into-emergency-mode. Laptop battery died (lesson taught, and well noted), And powie. Wont power on, wont go into Emergency mode. Charger, USB Wire, nothing makes any movement, sound, nothing.. bricked. Tried numerous batteries & cords. I have 5 of these and would like to get them out of my hair. I am not attempting to sell them on here, rather just any ideas on how to get these repaired.. if possible.

When using the built-in Live Search application or the updated Bing application, trying to use the GPS results in a "Getting position..." message that eventually times out. It seems odd the rest of the phone would keep working 100% normally. So far I've just hard reset it, but with the same problem. My only ideas are to 1) reflash the firmware, or 2) look for disassembly instructions and hope some part of the antenna came loose once when I dropped it.Does this make sense?Would anybody who knows the guts of the 6800 tell me if taking it apart would be a waste of time?

I just had this problem with my iphone 4. It just got died during ios upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1. I tried to putting it on my wall charger for more than 30 mins. nothing happened. Also tried the hard reset thing to Power + home button for 10-15 secs. but nothing happened. I tired to connect it to itunes, but nothing happened. Now Im just lost, and dont know what to do.

I was using my iPhone, and it was at 14%, which is okay, because it usually doesn't turn off until about 2%. So I go to plug it in, and I always charge it in my computer because I don't have a wall adapter for my USB. As soon as I do so, the screen goes completely black. I tried pressing buttons, calling it, plugging it into something else, and nothing has worked. When I called it, it kept ringing, so that's how I know it isn't dead.

I Connected it to my pc and started itunes. iTunes offered to restore factory settings on iPhone.Â

I accidentally uninstalled one of the components of an app (dictionary) which came with the phone, which rendered it unusable (keep saying word base missing), but it's fine as I have installed the nokia dictionary. The problem is: How do I remove the half-dead app? I can't uninstall it for some reason, I can't remove it from my list of apps, Or if Nokia (Nokia Taiwan ) would kindly provide me a SIS for me to re-install, that would be great too.

Backup was o.k.., update started but could not reconnect to phone and aborted with error message. (cable was not removed up to this point) Now phone screen is black with no reaction on any key. Just after having taken off battery I get a buzz when pushing the red key like on power up, but no further reaction. Phone seems to be waiting for data download.
