View 2 Replies View RelatedMy bb curve 8520 went dead due to low battery and now its not turning on. I have charged for more then an hour now.
View 1 Replies View Related The main problem is that my Nexus 5 (which is over a year old now) has been turning itself off and on for a couple of weeks now. At first it didn't bother me too much, because I could usually turn it on easily again. However the last few days this happened more frequent and today it just won't turn on again. I dropped it once and the screen broke. Had it replaced, but when I got it back the chip overheated really fast and the phone rebooted, resulting in an error message. I went back to the store and they replaced the motherboard, free of charge. they probably broke it when they replaced the screen. After 6 months or so, my screen broke again, due to work related circumstances (a machine malfunctioned and the phone actually saved my skin...). Had it replaced again and no further problems occurred, until now. The chip doesn't overheat, btw.Ok, so now a list of things I have tried and things that are noticeable, to spare you guys the comments
- The phone turns off randomly, both fully charged and when the battery is almost drained.
- The chip doesn't get hot, just normal when playing, for instance, a game with heavy graphics.
- I'm not using any particular app when it turns off, it is really random
- It turns off more frequent when I have the phone in the pocket of my trousers then anywhere else...his could however just be random.
- When the phone works again and shows me the main menu, there is NO error message stating that the phone has recovered from an unexpected shutdown. This did happen when the motherboard was broken.
- I tried every possible button-combo there is (power+vol up/down - hold power for +30 seconds - rapidly press power until my finger bleeds).
Last but not least...
- I have the strong feeling it is a connection problem somewhere...Before today, when it shut off and the power button didn't turn it on again, I tapped the phone on the back, roughly where the hardware is located and it turned the phone on.
Today I opened the phone for the first time, but haven't gone any further than that. I might remove the battery and have a look at it, blow on it for luck and stuff, and see if there's any connection problem....Other than that...I don't know.
I plugged my Torch in overnight to charge. When I woke up in the morning, the phone would not turn on so I took the battery out a few times and tried to reset it. When I plugged it into the charger and tried to turn it on, I got the battery symbol with a red X through it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy battery goes completely dead but ONLY after i switch it off for the night. It seems to drain away but is perfectly OK during the day. I bought a new (Blackberry) battery and it does the same thing. Is there ac software fix for this or is my phone (bought from a reputable used hone store) just useless?I was also told that the little dot just inside the phone by the charger is supposed o be gold in colour and of it has turned blue then it means that the phone has water damage?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo everyday I go through a dead zone with my phone, and everytime I go through this dead zone, I have to reboot my phone after because it prevents me from being able to use the internet or bbm. In bbm it makes an eternal red clock (even after I fix it the messages I wrote before rebooting never send) and the internet will not load anything (nor facebook). So what I do everyday is pull out the battery to do a full reboot.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy blackberry torch seems to be a bit faulty in some way at the min , I've recently purchased several batteries for the phone, all of which working perfectly when I leave the shop, when home I charge them up to full and use it as normal no problems. I continue to use the phone until it completely runs out of charge but when it comes to charging it again it shows a battery with a Red Cross through it and after reading other comments of just leaving it to charge I did that but nothing happened so went back to the shop they tested the battery only to find it completely unuseable and me having to buy a new one.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have only had my Torch a couple of months. I used it one morning and then went in the afternoon and it was completly dead. I pulled battery. Nothing. I tried charging nothing. US Cell won't take back because it is passed 30 days and I do not have insurance on it. Even if I had insurance it would cost $100 more to send it in. I am upset to say the least. I paid a huge fee to get it as an upgrade to my curve.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just updated the operating software on my Torch last night as I went about doing other things. It remained plugged into my laptop overnight, during which time the laptop went into sleep mode. When I opened up the screen this morning, the BlackBerry dialog box said the update was completed successfully; however, I have been unable to turn the phone on at all. I get no lights, no sound, nothing!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have seen others fix their 9900 and I don't see why it should be any different with the 9850. Before anyone say's anything, I CAN'T get a replacement, this is NOT an option for me since the phone was a gift and I live in Dominican Republic, no Sprint here. Here's my story:So I got a Torch 9850 from Sprint as a gift from a friend. It suffered the nuked syndrome and I haven't been able to fix it. For the first few weeks I messed around with it trying all the steps I knew to get a nuked BlackBerry back alive. My PC does detect the BlackBerry, and so does AppLoader, but it keeps restarting and so AppLoader wouldn't successfully load the OS on it.A few days ago OS 7.1 was released for the 9850 and YES! AppLoader finally started the loading OS process...but it's not all happiness there either. When it gets to the second step "Wait for device initialization", right after the "Load JVM and system software" step, that's when the restarting starts again. When AppLoader is reconnecting to JVM, the phone enters a restarting loop and so an error shows saying "Unable to connect to device" and no matter how much I hit "Retry" it won't get past it. So this is where I need help, is there anyone out there that has been able to fix their 9850?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry Torch will not power on. It was working today with a slight delay and in attempt to speed it up I attempted to power off and was unable to do so. I then took that battery pack out but was unable to power back on at all. The battery is fully charged.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy blackberry torch died last night so I plugged it in all day today I have pulled battery out while still plugged in off and on all day and still not getting it to charge properly. It shows a battery with an x thru the it in the middle of the screen on the display.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is a new battery and has the same problem that I was experiencing before purchasing the new battery. If I remove the battery and reboot the system, it will show a full to a 3/4 charge--but only for a minute or two, then it shows that the battery is dead again.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI own a Blackberry Torch 9800. This phone is on AT&T service. My problem is that my phone keeps turning off - with no prompt or warning. Usually i'll do a battery pull, wait around 10 minutes, and reinsert. After this it works again for a short period before turning off again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry Torch 9800 is not turning on. When I pull out the battery for five minutes and put it back in, there is nothing, no red lights at all, no screen light up, nothing. I've tried plugging it in it's charger and nothing. I've plugged it into my computer and nothing, the computer doesn't recognize that it's there.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy blackberry torch 9800 will not turn on. Although when I attempt to turn it on, the normal red LED lights up, and stays on for about 2 seconds but then there is another LED that lights up. There is another red LED that lights up right beside the normal LED, and it is a distinct secondary LED which turns on usually the same time as the normal LED but not all the time, sometimes it lights up on its own.I have attempted to reinstall the OS. And after about 10 tries I succeeded, but shortly after my blackberry was functional, it refused to turn on again, as well as when it did function, the blackberry was very slow, and the touch screen only functioned while the blackberry slide was closed?
