I brought a blackberry a couple of days ago and it has been fine. Then today it ran out of battery and so when I got home I put it on charge. It is not turning back on and has been charging for nearly 4 hours. I have tried the battery pull and still nothing. There is no lights and the screen is just blank. What should I do?
View 1 RepliesMy HTC M8 is about a month old, and a few days ago it turned off while I was using it at about 60% charge, I couldn't turn it back on until I got home and plug into the charger and it said that the battery was at 0%. There were no problems with the phone after that for a few days but it just happened again today, and I'm wondering if I was it is a battery problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my phone for two weeks now, and have only just had my SIM switched to a Blackberry SIM. I turned my phone off and on as advised, and all appeared to be well. When I went into settings to set up my email, it advised me that I had to download some new software. Which I did. It prompted me to reboot my phone, which I did. However, since then I cannot get past the Blackberry logo when turning it back on. None of the keys respond, and after a while it comes up with a white screen and a error message. The phone then turns itself off. I am not low on battery and I have removed the battery a number of times, but the same thing keeps on happening. Has anyone else had this problem, were you able to resolve it, or will I need to call into the local vodafone shop tomorrow?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI left it on charge all night last night, and this morning - I noticed it was switching to "low battery mode", which I found strange as I had charged it overnight and noticed it was showing as 50%.... it kept going in to "low battery mode", which I thought was unusual as it doesn't go in to that mode until its much lower.
I noticed then that occassionally the battery icon was flicking between 50% and 7%, and then 4% etc.... so not sure why it was showing 50% as it looks like perhaps it hadn't charged at all and that it was actually low on battery? But I'm not sure.
So I plugged the phone in to my Mac, and opened Sony Bridge, and tried to go through the steps of Repairing the phone in case that would work - but as I got to the stage where I am meant to unplug the USB and then plug it back in to the computer whilst holding down the volume down button, the phone stopped responding. No LED lights, no switch on.
Presumably the battery has run dead - but after an hour of charging it in the wall socket, it's not showing any signs of life. The phone is running Lollipop by the way.
I bought a brand new battery, and left it to charge overnight, when I woke up, the battery icon was still red with a plug logo on it (which insures me that it's charging) I thought the battery was messed up, so I returned it and took another one, but again, it's been in the charger for 2 hours straight now, and the battery icon is still red with the plug icon on it.

As soon as I open facebook, camera ect the battery completely dies and turns it's self off.This morning for example it was fully charged - had charged over night. Left for work at 7:30am, took one phone call - 5 mins, sent 2 texts. By 10:30am my phone had switched it's off. It's driving me mad and I can't be without my phone as I am pregnant and need it to get in touch with partner etc.Now I onlu upgraded the software because the battery wasn't holding it's charge but it was 100% better than it is now.
I have read through threads and have removed the battery repeatedly and even left it out.Removed the SD card and sim card and nothing. In fact in last an hour after charging it for the second time today and I never even used it!I am not technical but I desperately need help!!Is it worth trying to downgrade the software? - if so is there a dummies guide to this? Do I return it to o2 for them to see if there is other problems with it?I have shut down all apps other than the ones that remain there at all times. I check this regularly especially if the battery loses charge quickly. I am finding that it is fully charges within 20 mins from the battery being completely drained (turning it's self off) to being fully charges.I still have 9 months left on my contract before I can upgrade but I can't cope with it like it is now. I love blackberry but after the problems with this one am tempted to switch!| have also noticed that the desktop software has upgraded too!

After 6 Months of receiving the phone it developed a fault, i have returned it for repairs on a number of occasions and the reoccurring problem has never been solved & fixed . After eighteen months the phone will still not turn on and when it does work it turns off within one hour of it working, i have been to the Vodafone shop in Torquay South Devon and they supplied me with a new battery to try but it still switches itself off . I ave talked to Vodafone and i was told a fault has been found on this particular model of handset. After 24 months of having this contract phone i have now upgraded to a BlackBerry Torch . I would like to return the 9500 handset to get a free full repair or a replacement as i now need to use both phones. This phone has also had problems with freezing and locking up

At first I though the battery might have drained (although very unlikely since it still had like half left when I left the house, and this was about 20 min. into my jog). Came back home, plugged in charger, and half an hour later it still wouldn't turn on. The LED red light doesn't turn on either. If i plug it in to charge.. it charges at about 1% per hour if that.. turn the screen on and it drops several percent,. use it unplugged and it rapidly discharges maybe 15% or more in a very short period of time.
Im guessing i got a bad batch?
Its very odd that both phones exhibit the same behavior.. and just for kicks i left 8.1 on one and put 10 on the other.
I have a Bold 9000 and it is draining the battery very quickly doesnt even last a few hours with a couple of calls and when its flat will only charge if I take out the battery and put in on a universal charger it wont charge with the blackberry mains charger, car charger or usb connection.I have bought two new batteries and all the same thing, turned off all applications I can see.The phone was bought new from an ebay seller in December and I cant get any response now from them and they are no longer on ebay.I have seen something about updating the system.

View 6 Replies View RelatedBoth my wife and I have Defy's owned for 4 months and upgraded to Froyo 2.2 some weeks ago.both working normally.Then yesterday my phone, for no obvious reason, came up with the message "Invalid Battery.Your device battery is invalid and cannot be charged. Replace the battery with an origional motorola battery." Also the battery symbol at top right of display is black, not green, and has a? mark in it. I have checked my battery, which came with the phone, and it is official Motorola with hologram. So is my wifes.I tried swapping the batteries and while my battery works perfectly in her phone, her battery in my phone gives the same errors.I then tried a master reset....Twice! Both successful, wiping all my data, and requiring me to set up the phone again, but problem still remains.

Around a week ago I used a friends 'selfie stick'. The same day I was walking around Windsor and noted that the phone had powered down. I tried pressing the power key, but the phone did not turn on. I took the battery out, replaced it and then the phone came back on.
The problem now seems to reoccur when I have put my phone in my back pocket and either walk some distance, or keep it in my back pocket in the car (for some reason).
I just had to have Verizon send me my 3rd one since December cause mine keep shutting themselves off and then won't come back on at all. Then I changed batteries from the 1st phone that was left over and put it in the 2nd worked for a little while and then wouldn't send or receive messages or calls. I took the battery out and rebooted it again and I plugged into the computer and did an update and still nothing that's when all of a suddent it shut itself off and wouldn't come back on which is what the 1st one did. Is anyone else having this kind of trouble? Other than this I love my BB but this is the 1st one I have had and it isn't making a good first impression.

If it is, is it a very common issue for both the M7 & M8? I loved my M7 and should be upgrading soon, but idk if its a smart decision. Right now prices for both devices are doable, but is it worth it to even invest ~$200?
