BB Curve :: Battery Down- Wont Charge Or Come Back On?
Jul 16, 2011my phone went down, it has a blank screen with a battery and a red line going through it. I have tried to charge it but it wont come back on. What does this mean?

Oct 8, 2011I brought a blackberry a couple of days ago and it has been fine. Then today it ran out of battery and so when I got home I put it on charge. It is not turning back on and has been charging for nearly 4 hours. I have tried the battery pull and still nothing. There is no lights and the screen is just blank. What should I do?

Sep 30, 2014I left it on charge all night last night, and this morning - I noticed it was switching to "low battery mode", which I found strange as I had charged it overnight and noticed it was showing as 50%.... it kept going in to "low battery mode", which I thought was unusual as it doesn't go in to that mode until its much lower.
I noticed then that occassionally the battery icon was flicking between 50% and 7%, and then 4% etc.... so not sure why it was showing 50% as it looks like perhaps it hadn't charged at all and that it was actually low on battery? But I'm not sure.
So I plugged the phone in to my Mac, and opened Sony Bridge, and tried to go through the steps of Repairing the phone in case that would work - but as I got to the stage where I am meant to unplug the USB and then plug it back in to the computer whilst holding down the volume down button, the phone stopped responding. No LED lights, no switch on.
Presumably the battery has run dead - but after an hour of charging it in the wall socket, it's not showing any signs of life. The phone is running Lollipop by the way.

Nov 9, 2012I have two fairly new 9320 phones. Both phones do not hold their charge for more than 24 hours. Is there a setting on the phone which I can check to potentially fix this problem? This is a new phenomenon. The phones were OK ( for holding their charge) when I purchased them. If it is relevant I recently spoke to my service provider about the poor signal in my area and followed their instructions to make certain adjustments on the phones to (marginally) improve the reception. Is it possible that this operation/adjustment could have changed the battery life characteristics?

Apr 11, 2011My bb has been annoying me for sometime because it drains the battery so quickly. I've deleted lots of apps etc I don't use to try and help, and I make sure I properly close everything down so it's not running in the background etc. Even if I put it on standby mode the battery has usually drained by about 1pm even though it's been fully charged.Me and my fiance have the same phone so I've tried his battery/charger etc. If I use his fully charged battery the same thing was happening. On saturday though, it just will not charge at all. A red light comes on and goes and that's it. If I use a fully charged battery it will still last a few hours, but I can't charge it myself.It's a bit of a nightmare as my fiance had emergency surgery last night so we need to both have working phones so he can contact me from the hospital if he needs to, and I need to take his phone home to charge at night, but it's leaving me without a working phone.

Nov 25, 2015I just picked up two new nokia icons off ebay.. it was listed as new at least.. came in a box etc..
If i plug it in to charge.. it charges at about 1% per hour if that.. turn the screen on and it drops several percent,. use it unplugged and it rapidly discharges maybe 15% or more in a very short period of time.
Im guessing i got a bad batch?
Its very odd that both phones exhibit the same behavior.. and just for kicks i left 8.1 on one and put 10 on the other.

Sep 7, 2012I have a Bold 9000 and it is draining the battery very quickly doesnt even last a few hours with a couple of calls and when its flat will only charge if I take out the battery and put in on a universal charger it wont charge with the blackberry mains charger, car charger or usb connection.I have bought two new batteries and all the same thing, turned off all applications I can see.The phone was bought new from an ebay seller in December and I cant get any response now from them and they are no longer on ebay.I have seen something about updating the system.

Jul 29, 2012I've had a Blackberry Curve 9330 for 6 month now and the battery is causing me problems.About one month ago, the device started to reset every time is received the slightest shock. I looked at the battery and one of the four metal terminals had some dried acid on it. I cleaned it up and put the battery back. Today, after I sent an SMS, my BB showed a symbol of a battery with a red "X" on it. I opened the phone and two of the four battery and phone terminals had changed color, but they were clean.Now my phone doesn't work anymore. It just shows a battery with the red "X" icon.

Oct 29, 2012i recently took the battery out of my phone and once i put it back in the phone came up with the blackberry logo and the load bar, it get stuch around 2/3 of the way threw the bar. i've tried taking out the battery and putting it back in again, leaving it out for long periods and leaving it to load for long periods. none of that has worked. Aug 3, 2015Around a week ago I used a friends 'selfie stick'. The same day I was walking around Windsor and noted that the phone had powered down. I tried pressing the power key, but the phone did not turn on. I took the battery out, replaced it and then the phone came back on.
The problem now seems to reoccur when I have put my phone in my back pocket and either walk some distance, or keep it in my back pocket in the car (for some reason).

Apr 12, 2010After finally getting rid of my 5800 doorstop, I'm now the (proud?) owner of an N97. I've encountered a fair few of the software/ c: problems and using many of the usefull tips to help with those, BUT - after 2 weeks my supplied battery (BP-4L) now won't charge more than half full and when used it dies after minutes when using the internet or an application. Thats just not right, it got an initial 24 charge and bi nightly, then nightly recharges in the first week, and its having to be left on charge constantly now.
So I rang my SP Vodafone as it was only 2 weeks old, and the chap said the 4L was the wrong battery? he said it should be a 5f but as he had none he would send me a BL-6F which was compatible and would last longer. Can't believe this will be correct, surely its a smaller battery, its also 1200mah as opposed to 1500mah so will drain quicker. Any Techy chaps know whether this'll be acceptable. Drawing up the strength for another bash at the SP, but its like speaking dutch to them.
