BB Curve :: Cleaned It Up And Put The Battery Back?
Jul 29, 2012
I've had a Blackberry Curve 9330 for 6 month now and the battery is causing me problems.About one month ago, the device started to reset every time is received the slightest shock. I looked at the battery and one of the four metal terminals had some dried acid on it. I cleaned it up and put the battery back. Today, after I sent an SMS, my BB showed a symbol of a battery with a red "X" on it. I opened the phone and two of the four battery and phone terminals had changed color, but they were clean. Now my phone doesn't work anymore. It just shows a battery with the red "X" icon.
I know this has been asked a trillion times before, but I'm pretty sure I have tried most things, and I still only have about 13mb left and declining. I have lost a mb just today. Don't know how.I have cleaned my web browser cache, store the messages on mass memory along with photos and videos. Make sure the applications are storing to mass memory. I'm really struggling to find where all the memory has gone?
i recently took the battery out of my phone and once i put it back in the phone came up with the blackberry logo and the load bar, it get stuch around 2/3 of the way threw the bar. i've tried taking out the battery and putting it back in again, leaving it out for long periods and leaving it to load for long periods. none of that has worked. I've tried looking online for someone with the same problem but i can't seem to find anything that has worked. i've tired holding the return button thing for the safe mode thats been suggested and that didn't even work.im not sure what operating system the phone is either.
my phone went down, it has a blank screen with a battery and a red line going through it. I have tried to charge it but it wont come back on. What does this mean?
Around a week ago I used a friends 'selfie stick'. The same day I was walking around Windsor and noted that the phone had powered down. I tried pressing the power key, but the phone did not turn on. I took the battery out, replaced it and then the phone came back on.
The problem now seems to reoccur when I have put my phone in my back pocket and either walk some distance, or keep it in my back pocket in the car (for some reason).
3 days ago i was using my phone like normal when i got a white sceen, ive tried pulling the battery but it just goes straight back to the white screen. Does anybody have any idea on how to fix this? Bear in mind i cant connect to Blackberry Software Desktop because for some reason it wont recognise my device, i want to state the phone hasnt been dropped and hasnt been near any water, it just randonly went white.
I am a BES user and recently my account had to be recreated. I had taken a back up of the device from desktop manager. However after restore I find that all the BBM contacts, Bookmarks and Auto-text was not restored.I had spent a lot of time in making all the Auto text relevant to me. Doesn't the back-up process back up all these data?
I brought a blackberry a couple of days ago and it has been fine. Then today it ran out of battery and so when I got home I put it on charge. It is not turning back on and has been charging for nearly 4 hours. I have tried the battery pull and still nothing. There is no lights and the screen is just blank. What should I do?
Just got my new phone, less than a week. Last night I forgot to plug in to charge and the battery died at 2:53 AM... (Still showing on the edge of the screen). Plugged it in for more than 2 hours now it doesn't respond to anything. Hold the power button and so on... Nothing.
I went out for a quick jog, was listening to my playlists and my BB Torch died unexpectedly. At first I though the battery might have drained (although very unlikely since it still had like half left when I left the house, and this was about 20 min. into my jog). Came back home, plugged in charger, and half an hour later it still wouldn't turn on. The LED red light doesn't turn on either. I've been reading about the battery pull, but that isn't working either!
I have a 9900 bold.I did an updat on software program yesterday.Today my phone blocked with the message error "app error 200".I tried to reinstall the software, to take off and back the battery,
This question may apply to lithium cell phone batteries in general, or at least to more than one phone.I just got a used VX4400 with two batteries. One of them goes dead very quickly, then recharges very quickly, then goes dead again very quickly, so I think I can assume it's toast, unless someone has some advanced tricks for reconditioning it.
The other battery shows some life, but after a few minutes of calling after a full recharge, the number of bars quickly goes down to one. But then if I leave it idle for a while, it goes back up to 3 bars. I've tried this a few times without recharging, and it keep bouncing between one and three bars.Is there a way to recalibrate the battery meter, or is this a sign that the battery is bad? Or does this phone just have a funky battery meter?
iPhone 4s battery stuck at 100 percent. How do I get it back to normal? Ever since the update, I am having issues with the battery. Phone shuts down while it still shows 100 percent battery life. Normally not a big deal because I don't use it all the time but lately an issue when I'm working in Manhattan and it shuts down while in the middle of conversation or emailing. I can't go around charging it every hour wondering what my battery life really is.
I face one problem today is that for cleaning my X10 i shutdown my phone and i remove the battery, on that time the battery is upto 85% charge .after a couple of second i reinsert the battery and reboot my phone. while rebooting it shows that please connect the charger the battery is low and it automatically shutdown. this is first time i am seeing likeproblem or ?. But all the phone if we remove the battery and reinsert ther is a little % will be discharged.
I left it on charge all night last night, and this morning - I noticed it was switching to "low battery mode", which I found strange as I had charged it overnight and noticed it was showing as 50%.... it kept going in to "low battery mode", which I thought was unusual as it doesn't go in to that mode until its much lower.
I noticed then that occassionally the battery icon was flicking between 50% and 7%, and then 4% etc.... so not sure why it was showing 50% as it looks like perhaps it hadn't charged at all and that it was actually low on battery? But I'm not sure.
So I plugged the phone in to my Mac, and opened Sony Bridge, and tried to go through the steps of Repairing the phone in case that would work - but as I got to the stage where I am meant to unplug the USB and then plug it back in to the computer whilst holding down the volume down button, the phone stopped responding. No LED lights, no switch on.
Presumably the battery has run dead - but after an hour of charging it in the wall socket, it's not showing any signs of life. The phone is running Lollipop by the way.
My battery door has become very weak and creaky since I have to do so many battery pulls. I have the extended battery and it seems the only way to get a new one is to buy another battery. My back door barely stays on. Also, are there any plans on marketing skins for the external battery? This would make the phone feel more solid and protect the bezel from scratches.
My n900 died, I mean it, its just dead.I'll start by saying I tried all this and no go ..URL...All I see is the nokia logo and.. well thats it.
can't do anything with it, if I remove the battery and put back the logo goes back on and again, thats it.When pluging it to a usb my pc makes a sound like something was connected but the flasher and NSU do not find anything even with the "u" key pressed down.
Well long story short my blackberry storm died today and verizon is sending me a replacement, and was nice enough to send me a storm 2 as a replacement only bad news is, the storm 2 replacement does NOT come with a battery door.so my question is, does the blackberry storm battery door fit the storm 2? if not,
does anyone know any reliable websites where I can get a blackberry storm 2 battery door?
So I picked up 2 Photons yesterday from RadioShack. Overall, I am very impressed with the phone, however my wife's is randomly rebooting, and will not turn back on without disconnecting the battery or plugging back into the wall. I have seen a few reports of this online and was just wondering if there is a fix or if I should take it in for a trade? Kind of worried if mine will start doing this also. No SD card installed, no taskmanager, not rooted, etc
I gave my sister my old curve its about 1 1/2 yrs old. the day i gave it to her the phone worked just fine but after she flew back home the battery would only last her a few minutes. i told her to try a new battery but it still has not changed anything. i even got her to upgrade to 5.0 just to see if it would make any difference but it doesnt.
she barely uses any apps, and mostly uses the phone for emailing.on standby it will every 10minutes or so the battery life will go down by 10%, and after a few texts or a minute or two on a call the phone will just die. she can pretty much just use it when its connected to a power source.Seems like a phone issue but there is no warranty on it
My battrery has been running low quickly . For instance, I charged it yesterday and when it was done charging I made a phone call. I was on the phone for about 11/2 minutes. After I got off I looked at my battery and it was down 1/2 a brick. I've tried removing the battery for awhile, but it doesn't seem to help. I talk on it a lot through the day so I can understand it needing charged at night, but 1 minute off the charger and it's already losing power? I don't use the internet that much, but I do play games. The phone is about a month old. Any advice?
Okay, so I'm on the move a lot, travelling to and from University each day which can take anywhere between 1-2 hours getting there and getting back. I'm always on my phone during travelling as there isb't much else to do and I like to keep in touch with friends. I use Facebook and the internet a lot on their and I understand this is why my battery runs down so quick. Using it for I'd say 3 or so hours and the battery is done, I usually take my usb cable to uni so I can charge it ready for the journey home. Is there anyway I can get the same usage out of it and not drain the battery so much? I am thinking of getting a new battery first off as I'd say the current one would not be able to achieve good life againt, but is there long lasting batteries I can get?
Luckily, I have a friend's battery until my replacement phone arrives tomorrow, but there's no way for me to transfer my contacts over. Is there any way, short of taking down each contact by hand, that I can back up my contacts?
I was getting drops out on calls with 862 so I decided to back to 714 and as usual I dont back up my data as it always does it automatically during the downgrade or upgrade process. This time, I had my email accounts restored but not the actual emails. My contacts have been lost, but the apps and themes are still there.
So I tried restoring my contacts from a backup that I took on the 27th of August but here is the message I get when I try to do the Restoration was an error restoring. There could have been a problem with the device or connection during the restore. Verify that the dvice is turned on and connected.I tried restarting my computer and doing a battery pull but no luck and it is the same cable and port I always use...
I recently purchased the Droid Bionic approximately 2 weeks ago. I got one for my husband also. Recently, my phone has been randomly shutting off and the only way to turn it back on is to remove the battery. It has also happened when the phone is on and I am charging it. My husband's phone has not randomly shut off at any time. I have downloaded a few apps which include Accuweather, Go SMS pro and PicSpeed Wallpaper. I also inserted my micro SD card from my old phone into the new phone which I just removed to see if the phone will randomly shut down. I also do not have the pocket detector on.
