BB Curve :: 8520 Battery Will Not Charge?
Sep 21, 2012I have a BlackBerry Curve 8520. I am trying to charge my phone (right now) and the battery just will not charge. My screen shows the icon with the drained battery with a bolt of electricity going through it. I have tried removing the battery from the back and reinserting, no fix. I know my charger is not broken.

Mar 12, 2012my iphone 3gs went flat one day so when i got home i tried to charge it. but nothing just a flat phone which came up with a flashing red battery, so connected it to pc and still nothing! so after hours of threads later decided to have a new battery fitted and it works only thing is it still wont charge or connect to i tunes and its dying fast!

Dec 2, 2011everytime i press my space bar on my bb curve 8520 it carries on instead of using one space. the only way to stop it going across the screen is to keep pressing delete. ive tried taking it apart and cleaning the copper plates but nothing has changed. what can i do?

Sep 25, 2011Took out a 24 month contract on vodafone in May this year with a curve 8520. When phone was charged I unplugged the charging cable and the port came out on the end of the cable (apparently a common fault with this model)
I returned the phone to Vodafone and they sent it away to be checked out, only to inform me that because I didn't take out insurance I am liable as they class it as physical damage. The phone should still be covered by a 1 year manufacturers warranty but nobody is interested in repairing or replacing it

Oct 7, 2011i have a Blackberry Curve 8520. I plugged the phone in to charge about an hour ago and it seemed to work alright. I then went to move my phone plus charger upstairs so i could charge it overnight, plugged it in with the same charger it worked with earlier and no sign of charging. I've tried with my pc charger aswell and tried different plugs/chargers.

Well, im not a very heavy BB user but ive never had my batt go dead on me but it happened! i totally couldnt turn my phone on until i put in my charger.Then it happens randomly whereby my phone will heat up and the battery drops 5% every 10mins or so! until it shuts off!! It happened once right after i fully charged my phone and it shut off within the next hour.Anyone knows whats happening?? i suspected whether it was any of my installed apps that are draining my batt, so i shut off everything! i mean no msn no foursquare no twitter only emails are on but yet it still happens!!Help please? i hope its just the batt thats screwed not my phone.

May 23, 2012OK, so I got my phone back from the O2 store yesterday, because it had a charger port error, the charger just wouldn't go in. I got a replacement phone, but I had lost my charger, so I bought one from Tesco, it ha the red LED for around 5 seconds, then it showed up on the screen the battery with the lightning through it. I took the charger out and put it back in, and after that it just wouldn't charge. I went back to Tesco and they exchanged the charger. Still didn't work, what should I do?!

Apr 3, 2012I would like to report a bug with regards to saving/making a route public.I go into Planning, then Routing, and I have several routes saved from previous workouts. As per below, I click on the "Public Route" check box, and then Save. I just get booted to a generic screen/map with the "Create New Route" button.Regardless of whether I click on save or not, if I reselect the route on the left, then it the "Public Route" check box is cleared again.In addition on the screenshot below, why does it say "2525 Hemlock St, Vancouver, BC V6H, Canada | 0.06 km". This route was clearly 25k. Strange/weird thing also is if i click on "Edit Route", (Hey anthing's worth a try....) and then Save, it actually turns my route (ie destroys my route) into .06 km. This is exactly what happened to the bottom route on the left list; it used to be 25k until I 'saved' it. Oh well, at least I can go into my recent workouts and resave the route and try again!

Dec 10, 2011my Curve 8520 has broke 4 times!+been sent off every time, its so annoying! i've also topped up before most of these happend so while its getting 'fixed' its wasting my credit days!anyway to the point; my phone was on red so i plugged the charger in and it didnt charge? so i left it and carried on, on bbm and then it said 'battery to low for radio use' i tried charging it again and it just wouldnt charge! it ran out of bttery and i thought it was the charger, but then used my other charger and it still didnt work! where you put the end of the charger in the blackberry its very wobbly and last time i sent it off the whole inside bit of where it plugs in came out, but they fixed that..

Nov 9, 2012I have two fairly new 9320 phones. Both phones do not hold their charge for more than 24 hours. Is there a setting on the phone which I can check to potentially fix this problem? This is a new phenomenon. The phones were OK ( for holding their charge) when I purchased them. If it is relevant I recently spoke to my service provider about the poor signal in my area and followed their instructions to make certain adjustments on the phones to (marginally) improve the reception. Is it possible that this operation/adjustment could have changed the battery life characteristics?

May 10, 2010Ive got a big problem with my phone. It went dead last night and i tried to charge it with my pc and all i got was the red light. Once i got it to a wall charger the phone charged for a little booted and everything. It even accepted the txts i recieved while it was off. I leave the house for a couple hours i come back and the phone is off. When i plug the phone in nothing happens not even the yellow charge light. when i unplug the phone the red light comes on for a minute but the phone wont boot ive tried battery pulls and everything but the same thing happens everytime and i have no idea what to do. Ive never had this problem with any blackberry ive ever had.

Just look at yours in comparison to a USB connector on a different phone. I believe this is a manufacturing/part failure in the Nokia. I did not damage my phone. Another poster's phone had this same problem directly out of the box. Another user was eventually successful in getting Nokia to replace his phone. (My local service center wants €290 + 23% IVA to repair what I did not break.)

Apr 11, 2011My bb has been annoying me for sometime because it drains the battery so quickly. I've deleted lots of apps etc I don't use to try and help, and I make sure I properly close everything down so it's not running in the background etc. Even if I put it on standby mode the battery has usually drained by about 1pm even though it's been fully charged.Me and my fiance have the same phone so I've tried his battery/charger etc. If I use his fully charged battery the same thing was happening. On saturday though, it just will not charge at all. A red light comes on and goes and that's it. If I use a fully charged battery it will still last a few hours, but I can't charge it myself.It's a bit of a nightmare as my fiance had emergency surgery last night so we need to both have working phones so he can contact me from the hospital if he needs to, and I need to take his phone home to charge at night, but it's leaving me without a working phone.
