BB Torch :: 9800 Not Turning On After Update?

I updated my Torch 9800 and after the update finished, the phone was turning on and when it finished loading it just stayed as it was and I coudnt do anything its just showing the blackberry logo and the line.

I own a Blackberry Torch 9800. This phone is on AT&T service. My problem is that my phone keeps turning off - with no prompt or warning. Usually i'll do a battery pull, wait around 10 minutes, and reinsert. After this it works again for a short period before turning off again.

My Blackberry Torch 9800 is not turning on. When I pull out the battery for five minutes and put it back in, there is nothing, no red lights at all, no screen light up, nothing. I've tried plugging it in it's charger and nothing. I've plugged it into my computer and nothing, the computer doesn't recognize that it's there.

My blackberry torch 9800 will not turn on. Although when I attempt to turn it on, the normal red LED lights up, and stays on for about 2 seconds but then there is another LED that lights up. There is another red LED that lights up right beside the normal LED, and it is a distinct secondary LED which turns on usually the same time as the normal LED but not all the time, sometimes it lights up on its own.I have attempted to reinstall the OS. And after about 10 tries I succeeded, but shortly after my blackberry was functional, it refused to turn on again, as well as when it did function, the blackberry was very slow, and the touch screen only functioned while the blackberry slide was closed?

I have Torch 9800 that won't turn on. My 9800 has the latest version of BB OS available (unless there was one released within the last 4 days) The red light only comes on when charged and goes on and off. When plugged into my PC it disconnects from the PC and then reconnects. Sometimes the charging battery symbol comes on and the blackberry loading screen after but the blackberry loading screen shuts off. I have tried a new battery and that is not the issue.
I read that you can do an OS reload but my BB is not showing as connected under my connections (the noise indicates a device has been plugged in)

I can't find the option on the Torch.I am trying to synch up Documents to Go and it says to turn off mass storage media but when I follow the instructions, they are incorrect.I go to options and it says to go to media card but I don't see that option anywhere.

I know there's an update for my device but desktop software will not allow me to install it onto my device. I have gone to http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp and selected Bell Mobility and I have downloaded the software I would like to install for my device. Many forums say that I should be able to open desktop software and it should appear in my update section to load into my device, but unfortunately it doesn't show up. Its located in my downloads folder right now and I would like to get it onto my device.

I have tried to do so both OTA and through the desktop software on both a mac and PC. On the mac all it says is we can't connect to the update server, within literally 1 second, I mean is it even trying? On windows it says theres 0KB space to install the update when on the home page clearly shows there is 3.6GB of free space. I'm trying to stay patient but this is ridiculous.

I received an email link for the BB 6.x upgrade today and tried to upgrade it from the phone but it won't allow it and says to use the desktop manager. When I try the desktop manager, it says there are no updates for my device. The OTASL diagnostic update says " request failed 22c67b020110512204609 01 of 01". Original Error: Failed to transmit, Connectivity: Server Busy Sufficient Coverage: yes.
Does anyone know what the problem is based on the information above? It sounds like the upgrade is a dud, since it won't update using either the phone or the desktop software.

I received notification to do a system update so i did to vs 6.0.0.3155, now i cang get emails, i have tried pulling the battery and restarting, i have tried going to set up and email and then it freezes and wont do anything. I have tried deleting email account from the phone completely and restarting the phone and tring to go through set up once again and the same thing it freezes up. also they touch pad is now not working properly as well as its working slowly

I just bought a Blackberry Torch 9800 (half a day ago) and i'm not able to use the Social Feeds App. also, when i connect it to the desktop manager, it tells me that there is a new software available ( 6.0 Bundle 2342) and my phone currently has 6.0 Bundle 278. whenever i try to update, it goes only so far as the "Install" step and then gives me an error due to Internet connection. Tried switching to different networks on my PC but same problem still

As an avid business crackberry fan (and business manager) for over 3 years, I was appalled to find that I would need to slide the keyboard out to enter my security code, especially when I would do it 50-100 times per day. As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.

Just got an email from RIM saying there's a software update for the Torch. Did anyone else get this?.......what exactly is it? I'm on 6.0.0.161. The ONLY issue I have is no spell check when entering text on web pages (ie..CB wap, etc..) When I try to update, DM shows my software version as 6.0.0.161 and 6.0.0.141 is recommended.

My GPS on my Torch always worked fine. Even after the last OS update everything worked fine.
My data:
Blackberry 9800
OS: 6.0 Bundle 2949 (v6.0.0.668, Platform 6.6.0.236)
Carrier: T-Mobile
But just since a few weeks my GPS is not working. If I go to Device > Location Settings > BB Button > Refresh Location I will get a message displaying "Location Update Failed" after a few seconds.

This is regarding my bb torch 9800. I just did an update directly from the bb website and NOT from a desktop icon. All I did was connect the phone and pressed "check for updates", from which the results said that there was an update available. It never once asked me to do a system backup...just told me that this could take up to an hour and that I'd be unable to use the phone. All my contacts are gone. This is my first bb so clearly i had no clue about doing a sync to my sim card. Is there any way that I can save all that lost contact info?

When I plugged my phone into the computer to charge, an update came up on bb desktop manager - to update to the 6.0 Bundle 2467 - and I began the update. After a few minutes I realized that I should back up my phone before updating but bb desktop wouldn't let me - it said that IT needed to update. So the device software update paused until the desktop update was complete. When it was finished, the device update continued...and I didn't backup.
Somewhere in the middle of the update (after about a half hour) the phone blinked, there was a funny "beep" and a message came up that the update could not continue. The phone had rebooted but was stuck at about 65%. I let it sit for a few minutes, still not moving. Pulled the battery, let it sit for a few minutes like that and re-inserted. Started to reboot, then stalled again at the same spot. Pulled the battery after another few minutes and waited about 15 minutes.
When I put the battery back in, the phone quickly booted up completely...but because the updater stalled mid-update Everything is lost! Contacts, Calendar, Memos. Is there any way at all to recover anything?? Or is all my data lost somewhere in cyberspace? There is a small file, about 5MB called Blackberry Contacts so I thought I could sync the files from there, but I don't know how!

Last night I updated app world and when i rebooted this morning the icon wasnt there.after 2 minutes, the phone froze altogether - i couldntt even turn it off. After pulling the battery off and putting it back on, again the phone works for only 2 minutes and then it freezes again.how can I get it back to working properly?

I connected my 9800 torch to for a back up I noticed there is an software update.Once the update was complete, my phone was reset to factory settings. I reloaded the back up files of all my contacts but can not get my BBM, Email, facebook to work anymore.The same type off message gets given that I do not have a service plan that supports this application (FB), BBM just hangs and no message gets sent or delivered and as for the email it just says service connection is unavailable.I am currently traveling and is using the phone on wifi only as there is no signal available. All other internet based applications work. Phone works when I am in signal range.

I have a Torch 9800. I have changed the password on my email accounts, but now I cannot update the email account settings on my phone. I have tried accessing via the setup menu, where nothing happens when I select "Email Accounts" (even after a hard reboot), and through the Options menu in the messages folder. When I access it from there I get a message that says to contact the service provider.
