I can't find the option on the Torch.I am trying to synch up Documents to Go and it says to turn off mass storage media but when I follow the instructions, they are incorrect.I go to options and it says to go to media card but I don't see that option anywhere.
View 4 RepliesI am trying to put my music on the media card of my new 9800 Torch. I first need to enable the mass storage mode. How do I do that?????? I cant find ANYTHING that says "mass storage mode" on or off. How do I turn it on???? I tried to sync some music to my new Torch but it went in the main memory not onto the storage card where it belongs. How do I make it go ONLY to the sotorage card. Is this something I have to do on the desktop program?

If I select YES, a message eventually appears stating that the repair process failed. If I select NO, everything seems ok.Anyone else getting this error message? View 11 Replies View RelatedI just got my Blackberry and I am having trouble with the Mass Storage.The Media Sync will not recognize the memory card at all. Win 7 does not recognize the card when I first plugged in my phone by USB cable the install driver fails. This failing has happened on 3 computer 2 win 7 and one XP.
I have done the normal things like battery pulls and deleting the driver and letting it reinstall reboots and reinstall programs. I also have the most current programs off the website.I also have tried putting the SD card in the slot on my laptop (3 different cards in an adapter) and none are able to transfer files without lagging into never never land.Everything else seems to work just fine. But I would like to be able to transfer photos and music and at this rate I can't transfer them at all.
I have a Nokia 808 Pureview and was having problem with a lot of the basic functionality stop working on my phone. So the phone was master reseted before any of my pictures or videos were backed up. Usually I would be able to take a recovery program on windows like recuva to get the files back but my problem was, was that the mass storage was encrypted. Would it still be possible access the encrypted data that was reset off the phone?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently got the Torch 9800 and was wondering if there is a way to send a mass text out.I've already created a group in my contacts which contains about 200 members, when I try to send a text out to the group I get a message saying I can only text 10 ppl at a time.Previous BB versions didn't have this limitation, why regress? My Nokia E71 did it just fine as well on at&t.I assume it's a limitation imposed by at&t; if I were to have the phone unlocked, would it remove this limitation?Is there any way I can work around this "flaw"?Plz help, I'm addicted to this dam phone now and would hate to give it up.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've run into a bit of a problem, as have MANY Photon 4G owners have as well.since mounting my Electrify as a USB mass storage device (the two "MOT" drives pop up in explorer), now the internal storage (which is where everything is) comes up as an unreadable drive.It mounted fine when I got it, then stopped working, then worked for a day, now it doesn't work.I've tried uninstalling drivers, taking out the battery, SD card, etc etc.

It was working great until I connected it to the computer for first time and did the updates and backup suggested. I now get the message "Built in storage media is not accessible due to fatal errors". I also lost all the ringtones. Being a non-techie I did not connect the two. The next time I connected to the computer to backup etc and to download ringtones because mine were gone, all the wallpaper that comes with the device was gone. I have connected again to back up my blackberry andtried to restore to see if that helps, it does not. I did try to reformat my Built in storage media but it did not get rid of the error message and now I donot even see built in storage media coming up when I am in device options.
On other BB's I've moved pictures from the device to the media card using the "move" function - I can't find this on the Torch. Am I overlooking something or will I have to use Desktop Manager?

Usually i'll do a battery pull, wait around 10 minutes, and reinsert. After this it works again for a short period before turning off again.

When I pull out the battery for five minutes and put it back in, there is nothing, no red lights at all, no screen light up, nothing. I've tried plugging it in it's charger and nothing. Although when I attempt to turn it on, the normal red LED lights up, and stays on for about 2 seconds but then there is another LED that lights up. There is another red LED that lights up right beside the normal LED, and it is a distinct secondary LED which turns on usually the same time as the normal LED but not all the time, sometimes it lights up on its own.I have attempted to reinstall the OS. View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a Transcend 16gb class 6 Micro SDHC yesterday. Everything went well until I put it in my Torch 9800and formatted it like it requested. Afterwards I received the media card fatal error.Here's where it getrs strange: I assumed the card had corrupted, but upon using the adapter to access it on the computer, it worked fine there. Tried reformatting from the comp, still works on the comp., but upon insertion in the phone, fatal error. I tried puting it in my old 8520, works like a charm, no issues. Tried reformatting using the 8520, still a fatal error when inserted into the Torch. My old card that I was using was a Transcend 8gb Class 6, Which still functions with no probs.

My 9800 has the latest version of BB OS available (unless there was one released within the last 4 days) The red light only comes on when charged and goes on and off. When plugged into my PC it disconnects from the PC and then reconnects. Sometimes the charging battery symbol comes on and the blackberry loading screen after but the blackberry loading screen shuts off. I have tried a new battery and that is not the issue.
I read that you can do an OS reload but my BB is not showing as connected under my connections (the noise indicates a device has been plugged in)
I am unable to sync files between my Torch and Windows XP SP3. I have BBDesktop 6 installed, the phone is connected via USB directly to the laptop, and all of the Media Sync options say:"You need to turn on mass storage mode from the connected BlackBerry device to use this feature."
I see no such configuration option on the phone.Also, in Windows file manager, the SD and USB drives appear as removable drives E: and F:, but they are unaccessible: "Please insert disk in drive.."
I downloaded some wallpaper files which landed on the media card!I can't access them but once somehow I was able to see the files - so they are there.I'm on a Mac so no DM at this time.Is there a way I can delete these as I'm unable to search the media card.

I don't know how, and more importantly, I have no idea how to move it back. The simple menu item of "move" doesn't allow you to move an icon from pane to pane, and the "move to folder" is no help.
