Any Way if my Voice Notes on my corrupted media card are recoverable? Most of the other media (photos and MP3 and MP4 files) have been recovered more or less intact in the CRP_Cache, but no sign of the Voice Notes AMR files. Are they recovered to a particular cache folder?

View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently my blackberry bold has stopped playing media files or voice notes, the only media that still plays is the alarm tone and the ring tone!On start up it gives the error message 'Uncaught exception : A browser content provider for video/3gpp MIME type has already been registered with the browser'.Then when you try to open a media file, the screen goes white and it says 'Unable to play content.'So far I've tried re-registering the host route tables, battery pull etc and software updates and nothing has helped.

Everything played and was working fine.I then uploaded and deleted some music files through the bb pc software via the usb cable. Now everything seems corrupted and none works properly. The files are in the play list, but I can't play or delete them. The main screen also shows that there are 12 songs in the library, but there are only 8 (of which none work)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a Blue Ant Q1 Blue Tooth headset and updated to the latest firmware on it. Now when I tell the Blue Ant Voice command the command 'Phone prompt' it connects with my Blackberry Torch 9800 Nuance Voice command option with no problems.Now when I tell the Nuance voice command the numbers of a phone number I want to call, it will repeat it back to me to verifying the number. Now the numbers are clear when the voice command repeats the number I want to call.I swear it really sounds like the very first computer voice ever created, it's all garbled and muddy like. No real clarity in what it is repeating back to me.It is very hard to make out what the voice command is repeating back to me to verify the word I used to describe the number I want it to call.Now, I shut off my Blue Ant Blue Tooth headset and tried the Nuance voice commands with my phone only and I get the same poor quality computer animated voice issues coming out of my Blackberry Torch 9800.Is this normal, I sure hope not, after purchasing what I consider a top quality cell phone. I would expect more clarity with this software from Blackberry and Nuances.This is the one feature that I really need for a cell phone to perform well for me, since I am on the road a lot for my business and needs handsfree dialing.

So if I have extended my notes in outlook and then synchronize at the end of the day, I loose part of the notes I have written because the notes field in the torch wont accept them.Can the notes field in the Torch be extended?

I have BBDesktop 6 installed, the phone is connected via USB directly to the laptop, and all of the Media Sync options say:"You need to turn on mass storage mode from the connected BlackBerry device to use this feature."
I see no such configuration option on the phone.Also, in Windows file manager, the SD and USB drives appear as removable drives E: and F:, but they are unaccessible: "Please insert disk in drive.."
While in my pocket I somehow moved my Blackberry Messenger icon from the "All" pane to the "media" pane. I don't know how, and more importantly, I have no idea how to move it back. The simple menu item of "move" doesn't allow you to move an icon from pane to pane, and the "move to folder" is no help.

If I select YES, a message eventually appears stating that the repair process failed. If I select NO, everything seems ok.Anyone else getting this error message? View 4 Replies View RelatedOk, media card was working fine, had alot of work pictures stored on it and was becoming a hassle to hunt through all of them to find what I wanted. So, I inserted media card in computer and transfered what I wanted to a folder on the computer. Then I formatted the card using the computer. When I put the card back into the phone, the phone knows its there, but I must have wiped the card completely as none of the folders for video, pics, etc. are on it anymore. If I take a picture and go to find it, the media card does not even show up, just device memory.
Does anybody have a remedy for this? I already tried formatting the card in the phone but that didn't work. The phone is telling me in the memory options that 1.8GB is free, so I know it works, it just lost the folders or whatever........
I am experiencing a couple of problems with my device since the last prompted OS upgrade:
1. When I plug the device into a USB port on my PC, it successfully begins charging but I do not receive the familiar "USB Drive / Sync Media / Charge Only" selection prompt. Furthermore, the device isn't being recognized as a peripheral by my PC and, as such, I cannot access its data.
Note: I have enabled "Media Card Support" in Options -> Device -> Storage
2. When I send someone a voice note using BBM's "Send -> Voice Note" option, it no longer appears to save the voice note in the voice note collection in the Media section as it used to do.
I assume these two problems stem from the same issue, but I can't imagine what it may be, and looking around the forums / Google has produced nothing useful.
I have had my BB Torch 9800 since May 2011, and I had a media card (SD 2GB) in there since Day 1. Early November came around and my phone's media folder was completely empty and I was unable to view any of my pictures, music, etc from my external media card, but the internal built in media card still works just fine. I went into my local AT&T store just for kicks and giggles to see if they could do something (they couldn't). I consider myself an advanced Blackberry user, for I have had a Blackberry for a number of years. The torch is my 7th Blackberry and this is the first time I have had a problem with any of my phones. Not to diss the Torch or Blackberry, but this isn't their finest work. Back to the point, how can I get my phone to recognize my media device?

I have lost my pictures and I am receiving an error message that the media card has errors. It is saving pictires to the, phone and not the media card. I've taken it out, put it back in and took battery out to start the phone again. Still getting the same error message.

I tried my media card in my pc and it works perfectly fine. I already did the security wipe method, reboot method, upgraded my OS(OS Level Method), cleaning the media card,formatting my media card and almost everything I read, I've done it but still it won't be read. I already go asked someone what could be the problem and he said my media card(where you put it) seems to be okay... He too can't identify what is wrong with it. I tried sandisk media card once but still same result assuming that BB is too picky with media card but still it cannot be read/recognized...I am too sad because i cannot enjoy my torch because i don't want to use my built-in memory storage for my entertainment....

Now it has deleted all my pictures/music & videos that where stored on the memory card. Is there anyway to restore/retrieve all the info that has been deleted? I cannot also save pictures to the card so I save it directly to my device instead.

View 9 Replies View RelatedOI purchased my storm 9500 version 4.7.0.167 about a year ago. Platform 4.0.0.205. The videos played back really well until I received a video from my friends LG handset via bluetooth. I don't know if that was the actual cause but that is when the problem started. Everytime I make a video it will either refuse to play with a message saying "error occured while playing media" or the video will play without sound then the sound will follow. Playback of the videos is shaky and unstable. Only mms videos play well but even they are starting to act up. What could b the problem. I have tried rebooting 2 no avail.

View 3 Replies View RelatedPix that I take with the camera show up on the device as "Camera Pictures," even though I've configured it to "support media card," and to store camera pix on the card. I must manually move these camera pix to the "unfiled" folder on the device.
Shouldn't the pix automatically go to the card?
