View 5 RepliesBlackberry Torch 9800 v6.0.0.246, platform 6.4.0.105
It was working great until I connected it to the computer for first time and did the updates and backup suggested. I now get the message "Built in storage media is not accessible due to fatal errors". I also lost all the ringtones. Being a non-techie I did not connect the two. The next time I connected to the computer to backup etc and to download ringtones because mine were gone, all the wallpaper that comes with the device was gone. I have connected again to back up my blackberry andtried to restore to see if that helps, it does not. I did try to reformat my Built in storage media but it did not get rid of the error message and now I donot even see built in storage media coming up when I am in device options.
Every time my Torch powers up,I am getting a message "built in media storage not accessible due to detected errors. Would you like to repair?". If I select YES, a message eventually appears stating that the repair process failed. If I select NO, everything seems ok.Anyone else getting this error message? Anyone know what the ramiifications are?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI switched on my phone as normal yesterday and got the following message: 'Built-in Media Storage not accessible due to detected errors. Do you wish to repair it now? Yes or No.When I click yes, the message is 'Select the storage you want to repair' and the options are Built-in media or cancel. When clicking on built in media, the next message is 'Built in media repair failed'.I've lost all my photo's and music and when i connect to my pc to re-add them, the same message appears on the phone and nothing has sync'd at all.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince a couple days, my blackberry 9800 shows an error message. It says that the in-built memory cannot be read, and I should try to repair or format it. I tried to repair it several times, but it always failes. Due to the fact that I have many important datas on my device memory, I'd rather not format it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBlackberry Torch 9800 in use for 8 months I get the message `Built in media not accessible due to detected errors` and when selected repair, it deleted content from the external SD card. All podcasts, pics and video were removed, and half of the music. The camera will not work as it says there is no memory available. Telus said all updates were installed.
View 1 Replies View Relatedcamera not working - message says there is not enough available space - delete some pictures- insert media card. Also all photos stored in Camera pictures file have all been lost. Had to reboot phone and an 'Built in media storage not accessible due to detected errors'. Asked to repair said yes and message says that 'Built in Media repair failed'. How I can get the camera back working. There should be loads of storage space as not much stored on phone.

View 9 Replies View Relatedbefore this problem happends, about 3 days ago i've got an error message saying built in media got an error so must repair it or wipe it.. i tried to repair it, but it keeps saying built in media repair failed. so i wipe it..but, a couple of seconds after i click wipe built in media, my blackberry reboots by itself..after it finished rebooting, my blackberry tells me built in media got an error again.and i tried to wipe it again but my blackberry still rebooting it self again.this happends 4 times in a rowand yes, the blackberry still rebooting itself again.but, this time, my blackberry didn't finish rebooting, the loading bar stuck in 3/4 of the bar.of the bar.so today i tried to fix it with tried to restore it to factory default.. but it keeps failed connecting to the device..the third time i tried, it got a white blank screen when reaching the 3/4 loading bar..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a Transcend 16gb class 6 Micro SDHC yesterday. Everything went well until I put it in my Torch 9800and formatted it like it requested. Afterwards I received the media card fatal error. Here's where it getrs strange: I assumed the card had corrupted, but upon using the adapter to access it on the computer, it worked fine there. Tried reformatting from the comp, still works on the comp., but upon insertion in the phone, fatal error. I tried puting it in my old 8520, works like a charm, no issues. Tried reformatting using the 8520, still a fatal error when inserted into the Torch. My old card that I was using was a Transcend 8gb Class 6, Which still functions with no probs.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my blackberry curve 8520 for over a year and never had any problems with the media card until now. I'm unable to look at any pictures, videos or music on my phone as i can not install the media card on my phone. I'm unable to repair it and format it also. The media card will also not be read when I plug it into my laptop with the USB. I definitely know its the media card and not my phone itself as I've tried my brothers media card in my phone and it worked perfectly. When i put my media card in his phone, it did the same thing and came up with the same error. how i'll be able to make the media card read in my phone or my pc so I can backup the data as I don't really want to lose it all?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought a BB Curve 8520 which has a 2GB media card in it. On the BB under memory the card is being read showing 1.8GB free space. But when I coonect it to computer Desktop software is only giving me the option of device memory for media storage. Which is saying that I don't have the room to save any files. Also Windows Media Player won't read the BB, it just says connect device, so I can't sync any music to the BB even though there is space for it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have this Bold 9900 for about half a year, first few month the Media card was that I transferred from my old BB was working fine, then without physical damage of the phone the "Media Card Storage can not be accessed due to fatal errors" msg started occurring during the charge and on/off. I bought a new 32GB SD card, the problem still exists, I check both cards on other devices, they both work fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my Blackberry and I am having trouble with the Mass Storage. The Media Sync will not recognize the memory card at all. Win 7 does not recognize the card when I first plugged in my phone by USB cable the install driver fails. This failing has happened on 3 computer 2 win 7 and one XP.
I have done the normal things like battery pulls and deleting the driver and letting it reinstall reboots and reinstall programs. I also have the most current programs off the website.I also have tried putting the SD card in the slot on my laptop (3 different cards in an adapter) and none are able to transfer files without lagging into never never land.Everything else seems to work just fine. But I would like to be able to transfer photos and music and at this rate I can't transfer them at all.
Try to use data recovery application eg recuva, testdisk .. to recover my lost whatsapp media files from phone internal storage, but the application totally can't detect my phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 808 Pureview and was having problem with a lot of the basic functionality stop working on my phone. So the phone was master reseted before any of my pictures or videos were backed up. Usually I would be able to take a recovery program on windows like recuva to get the files back but my problem was, was that the mass storage was encrypted. Would it still be possible access the encrypted data that was reset off the phone?
