Mar 18, 2012I just had this problem with my iphone 4. It just got died during ios upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1. I tried to putting it on my wall charger for more than 30 mins. nothing happened. Also tried the hard reset thing to Power + home button for 10-15 secs. but nothing happened. I tired to connect it to itunes, but nothing happened. Now Im just lost, and dont know what to do.

May 22, 2012I was using my iPhone, and it was at 14%, which is okay, because it usually doesn't turn off until about 2%. So I go to plug it in, and I always charge it in my computer because I don't have a wall adapter for my USB. As soon as I do so, the screen goes completely black. I tried pressing buttons, calling it, plugging it into something else, and nothing has worked. When I called it, it kept ringing, so that's how I know it isn't dead.

Dec 10, 2014Well, now i have no iphone. I was sick and tired about ringtone disappearance in 8.1.1 and i updated my iPhone using wifi to 8.1.2. It has updated, it restarted. but it did not turn on.Â
I Connected it to my pc and started itunes. iTunes offered to restore factory settings on iPhone.Â
" for what sake do i have to lose all my data?" but there was no other way, i agreed.Â
iTunes sent error N39 and that is the end. Iphone is off. Itunes does not restore it.Â

Mar 9, 2010Just installed a jb app that mentioned something about "quick unlock". I cannot recall the exact title but anyway it seems to have totally killed my 3GS.
Tried all the tricks I know but nothing works. Only the Apple icon will appear on the screen for about 20 seconds. ITunes does not detect the phone so I can not reset/restore it.If I try to recharge it, no battery icon appears.

Jul 19, 2010I have had an iphone 3G since Dec-2008 - obviously out of warranty now.Today, the bottom 20% of the screen or so went dead - it won't respond to touches, taps, slides, etc. The rest of the screen responds fine, but this portion is completely out of it.This is particularly problematic b/c it is all of the bar where my 4 favorite icons sit (SMS, Email, Web and Ipod). I did some googling and found the apple Article TS1827, but it didn't say what could be the cause, how to fix it, etc.
1) Any ideas what could be wrong?
2) I have a genius appointment later today, but what are the chances Apple actually fixes or replaces it?
3) What is the best suggestion as to how to fix it if i need to - places to go, or DIYs? Located in NYC.

Jun 26, 2012My iphone 4 has suddenly stopped charging for some reason. I've had no signs of battery problems at all before this.
I've read that some people have managed to fix this problem by doing a hard reset, but my battery was dead before I tried charging it so I can't do this. (when I try I get the connect to power image) I've checked the phone for any signs of lint etc, and cant see anything obvious.
I've tried multiple cables and adapters and the usb slot on my macbook and none of these get any response at all. When I plug into a speaker dock I have got, I get the connect to power supply image on the screen.
The phone is 2 years old (almost to the day) seems they have made it last the exact length of my contract Was wanting to hold off upgrading till the next iphone comes out

Jul 5, 2012My iPhone 4 got submerged in water for 5 minutes, I somehow got it working after all. Now, the phone will only turn on when connected to the charger (the battery is probably dead). The phone displays the apple logo then procceeds to the connect to iTunes screen. The problem is that since the phone wont hold a charge and only works when connected, I can't get the computer to recognize it when it's plugged in because it's turned off and dead. So since the computer won't recognize it, it won't give power to it, thus; making it not plug into iTunes.

Aug 21, 2014I tried to restore my phone while it was at 1%, and it just completely died. I haven't been able to charge it since 7:30pm, and now it's 3am, and it still hasn't come back on.
