Jun 26, 2012My iphone 4 has suddenly stopped charging for some reason. I've had no signs of battery problems at all before this.
I've read that some people have managed to fix this problem by doing a hard reset, but my battery was dead before I tried charging it so I can't do this. (when I try I get the connect to power image) I've checked the phone for any signs of lint etc, and cant see anything obvious.
I've tried multiple cables and adapters and the usb slot on my macbook and none of these get any response at all. When I plug into a speaker dock I have got, I get the connect to power supply image on the screen.
The phone is 2 years old (almost to the day) seems they have made it last the exact length of my contract Was wanting to hold off upgrading till the next iphone comes out

Aug 21, 2014I tried to restore my phone while it was at 1%, and it just completely died. I haven't been able to charge it since 7:30pm, and now it's 3am, and it still hasn't come back on. It's plugged into the charger and it just comes up with the battery charging symbol thing? I don't know how to explain it, but I'm guessing my phone is completely dead now.

Sep 27, 2012My blackberry torch seems to be a bit faulty in some way at the min , I've recently purchased several batteries for the phone, all of which working perfectly when I leave the shop, when home I charge them up to full and use it as normal no problems. I continue to use the phone until it completely runs out of charge but when it comes to charging it again it shows a battery with a Red Cross through it and after reading other comments of just leaving it to charge I did that but nothing happened so went back to the shop they tested the battery only to find it completely unuseable and me having to buy a new one.

Sep 28, 2011Obtained my Droid3 two weeks ago and I'm now finding that it will not charge.Long story short: I did not charge my device for 2 days straight, upon complete epletion of the battery's power I hooked it upto the wall charger and noticed that the screen turned on with the droid symbol and subsequently the charging icon. I left it to charge, and after a while when it was upto 15% I attempted to turn it on by pressing the power button (without holding it down), which caused the screen to go black and ceased the charging.ow whenever I try to charge the device via the wall charger, the white charging LED (between the microUSB and miniHDMI inputs) turns on occasionally and remains there for an hour, after which it goes off again. When I try to charge via the computer the same thing happens, except after 45min or so of charging, the device repeatedly connects and disconnects from the computer USB (the usb connection and disconnection sounds ping repeatedly until I unplug the device). This also happens when I try and turn on the device while charging via USB.
Normally after 45min of charging from the computer the device will turn on, with the Droid logo appearing and system activated. Now it will not turn on at all.I have tried removing the battery from the device for at least a min and then recharging, I've also tried removing and re-inserting the battery while the Droid3 is connected to the charger to no avail. To replicate the situation, I've left the battery without charging for a period of 48 hours, and then tried to charge it again via wall charger; same problem: the white LED turned on for about an hour and then went out. The device did not turn on this time. My suspiscions are on the battery..The phone is a great piece of hardware and I've grown to love it, yet I had honestly no idea it would be susceptible to such trivial conditions 3 weeks out of the box. I've ordered an extended battery just in case

Oct 20, 2011This is a new battery and has the same problem that I was experiencing before purchasing the new battery. If I remove the battery and reboot the system, it will show a full to a 3/4 charge--but only for a minute or two, then it shows that the battery is dead again.

May 10, 2010Ive got a big problem with my phone. It went dead last night and i tried to charge it with my pc and all i got was the red light. Once i got it to a wall charger the phone charged for a little booted and everything. It even accepted the txts i recieved while it was off. I leave the house for a couple hours i come back and the phone is off. When i plug the phone in nothing happens not even the yellow charge light. when i unplug the phone the red light comes on for a minute but the phone wont boot ive tried battery pulls and everything but the same thing happens everytime and i have no idea what to do. Ive never had this problem with any blackberry ive ever had.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY rediculous that apple would create a collaborative message program without a way for the user to exit. they are so focused on voice regonition and other useless software when they hve major issues to address like this. Jun 28, 2010My wifes contract with Verizon is up and I can get out of mine for under $100. Instead of spending $200 a piece on Droid Incredibles, we're both strongly considering the joining AT&T and picking up iphones tomorrow. The phones are the same price, and although the andriod OS has some nice features, and verizions network is allegedly superior, I dont think either offers enough features to keep us. Really, we're already leaning heavily towards switching, and I'm hoping some of you can post feedback here to push us over the top.
If you've left Verizon for AT&T, or have used both the android and Iphone OSes, i'm particularly interested in your feedback. My main concern with AT&T is the dropped calls and poor data coverage that everyone complains about. Also, will the Iphone ever get flash support? with the newly instituted data caps, streaming alot of video probably isnt a good idea anyway, but i'm just curious. Finally, is there an ETA on when the Iphone will support the newest google maps? My friend has an incredible and the 3D GPS maps accompanied by turn-by-turn voice directions was awfuly impressive. I've heard the Iphone will get the app at some point, but never anything concrete.

Jun 29, 2010So as well all know, AT&T uses a ridiculous set of cellular frequencies that not only produces a lower signal (compared to Verizon,) but also puts a lovey "DA DA, DA DA, DAT DAT DAT DAAAA!!!!" sound in my speakers! (GSM interference) I've tried the tricks with the little things you put on your speaker cables to catch the stray RF noise but they did not help and I am SICK of this stupid sound that gets transmitted into every set of speakers I have.
The only way to fix this is to shut off the cellular network by putting the iPhone into airplane mode. Then, I can play music from my iPod and not have the stupid interference playing as well. The only problem is, now I can't stream online music like Pandora, etc because Airplane mode shuts off my WiFi? So is there any way I can shut off the phone, but leave on the WiFi?
