Either there is a delay or i dont get them at all. no issue sending. Optus reset my sms service, because they rang motorola who said it was error code 62 or 92? was due to the update.

I know there is GET HELP, Drivers, and a Motorola driver page for USB and Charging drivers. MotoCast is installed (and updated) and provided the necessary USB and Charging drivers. I know there is a Motorola program called MotoHelper 5.4.0. I have used these resources but they have not solved the problem with bluetooth peripheral device drivers. The message my Lenovo T61/Windows Vista computer gives me is: contact your device manufacturer for assistance getting this device installed.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else having an issue where the GPS indicator blinks non-stop (indicating the phone is actively using GPS) every time you start the phone (reboot)?
Anytime I cycle the phone, the GPS searches and apparently does not stop. If I use the GPS Toggle widget (the included one) and toggle it off and then on, it stops until an application uses it.
I have checked and do not see an app that would use GPS starting automatically. If I can, I will be reporting it to the developer.
I have noticed that when my Droid Razr is off and I plug in my charger the status led blinks once and the charging screen starts up and charging begins - as expected. However sometimes when I plug in the charger the status led blinks once but then the charging screen does not start and charging does not start - I have noticed that if I then press the power on button the charging screen starts up and charging commences. Is this normal?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was running GB on my phone since I purchased. Battery life was fine. Used upto a complete day with normal usage and heavy usage lead me to end up around 12 - 15 hours. It is normal. After few day of usage (About 2 weeks) I found battery starts to drain faster. Ok then I gave a factory reset. Oh amazing, I got the battery life back same as when I purchased,After a month I recieved update of ICS. Wow it was fantastic. It gave me the creeps. My normal usage went a day + . after a week I feld the same battery drain issue. What I could guess? guessed it might be a problem of installing more and more apps. Ok from this point onward, I was aware and wanted to check it out. Gave a factory reset again. fueled the battery to its maximum.
Installed any software the I must need. Oh I could not believe. see the screen shot how my normal usage was.. (1 day + 19 H) same devil has came back after a week.Battery started to drain fast. See the screenshot I got now. It shows 50% usage for last 6-7 hours. As to my calculation depends on best usage, it shoule be only 20 to 30 percentage. what's the hell is going on ??
I am setting up my email accounts and I have two AOL emails and one gmail.When I click on AOL tab and enter in my email address and password the phone says I already have that account.It is not on the phone though. Is there anyway to reset the Accounts page back to default to start all over?

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I noticed that neither one of our Droid Xs can get the GPS to lock on.Before the latest update we both were using the gps while in Chicago and on the way back to New York the week of August 1rst.This week we can't get the gps to work on either phone; it will continually keep searching and searching.I've been trying for three days now.We have tried 3rd party gps apps and that will not work.We have tried rebooting both phones and pulling batteries, and it still will not fix the problem. Everything else works on the phone- wifi, blue tooth, calls, etc.

View 5 Replies View RelatedEver since upgrading the firmware on my Motoactv to MA 1.7.2 E8, I've had a problem with the Pedometer.I can't really say what it is doing on a general day to day basis, but when on the cross trainer at the gym it appears to be losing steps - however, it does appear to be counting them.For example, yesterday morning I went to the gym and as usual I set my Motoactv to Elliptical workout and put it in my pocket. When I started, my steps for the day were around 1700.Part way through my workout, I checked my Motoactv and it was showing over 4500 steps so it all seemed to be fine, and it was clearly registering my "steps" on the elliptical.When I stopped, after 1 hour 45 minutes, I checked my Motoactv and it was showing 1600 steps - less than I started with! According to prevoius workouts on the earlier firmware, I'd expect my steps to be approximately 14000-15000 higher than when I'd started after such a workout.All the stats in "Recent" were consistent with earlier workouts of a similar magnitude and time (i.e. distance, calories, avg/max stride rate). Also, if I look on the Motoactv website, I can see my strides being in excess of 14000.This is the second time I've noticed my steps being way off, though I don't always check my steps. However, I'm fairly certain it was working perfectly prior to the latest firmware upgrade. I definitely clocked more than 20000 steps during the day in the past, so if it is "rolling over" back to zero, it wasn't doing this in the past.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI just bought an 8GB MOTOACTV yesterday in Hong Kong and the existing version of software is 1.7.3 A8. I tried to install MOTOCAST on 2 PCs (system: WinXP & Windows Vista) and both are upgraded to 2.0.31, but when I check the software update for MOTOACTV itself, the MOTOCAST told me no update for me for the timebeing.
The fact is there is 1.7.11 A8 out there and maybe 1.7.12 A8 as the guy introduced me to buy have the exact same device (only this version in same store) with Golf function on. Meanwhile, when the device connect to WiFi yesterday evening, I saw once the words of "Software Update Availabe, please connect the computer to update" shown on the device.

Not sure if any other information is necessary, but since the latest update on our phone, after getting into the camera application it freezes and stop responding to the direction you point it at. If we back out of the camera application to the home screen, the phone is still responsive, it is just the camera that we are having issues with.
It makes reference to invalid email/password but netflix works on my phone and any internet connected computer hardline or wifi, I'm using wifi with the Xoom and never had any problem before.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWe updated to Motocast 1.3.9 and AVG Antivirus immediatley flagged the MOTOCAST-THUMBNAILER.EXE as a virus, deleting the file and moving the program to the virus vault.As there is clearly something going on that triggers protection, we are uninstalling the program and will wait until we are advised that the program exhibits safe behavior.We suggest that you fix the program, or IF it is safe, contact AVG and other Antivirus vendors so that this program is not flagged in error.

In this time I've gotten a few text messages to the affect of, "I just called, why didn't you answer?" or when I call someone, they comment on how long it took for me to return their call. Piecing the feedback together, it seems that the phone doesn't always receive the call and ring. The person who is placing the call hears a dial tone, etc... and has no indication the call isn't ringing on my end. One time this occured, a voice mail was left and I received the voice mail right away. However, if no voicemail is left, I get no indication a call should have been received (no missed calls). The frequency of occurance is fairly hit and miss, besides, you can't prove someone didn't just call you .
I've experienced this on some other verizon phones of multiple brands (before smart phone times), and tend to think it has something to do with the software interactions between the carrier and platform, or perhaps the quality of antenna and how the software handles marginal signal. In the past, the only remedy I found was to change phones, but software pushes weren't as prevalent in those times.... Note, I've been a verizon customer since the dawn of time, so the carrier is a constant variable here. This phone was an upgrade from the Motorola Droid 1, and I didn't experience this problem (in the same locations) with this phone. For what it's worth, around town and at home I have a full 5 bars of signal strength, though I understand the bars are just a function of software.
I have also experienced some data drop out issues on 3G (patiently waiting for verizon to flip the LTE switch on) when heavily managing the wi-fi radio via the smart actions. There seem to be a few other complaints on the forums of similiar behavior. Changing the smart actions to have the wifi radio enabled most of the time seems to have helped with this issue, so I don't beleive it is related, but you never know..
After the latest update I lost my hotmail account and charter account. They are seen in my accounts but nulled out. I can not delete them. Also, if I try to add them back, I have no options anymore for adding email accounts. It only gives options for Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Lotus Notes, and Skype and the lotus notes and skype is there because I additionally installed that. Does anyone review functions of the phone before they release updates or are we all just Beta testers for Sprint and Motorola. I had just got my phone fixed with all the other issues.
View 15 Replies View RelatedThe new Android release has removed the ability in the music player to stop a song, and you can no longer clear out a playlist (I don't mean deleting a playlist, I mean clearing one out, which essentially stopped music from being played). Tech support level 2 told me that this was purposely done by the engineers at Motorola, but I have no idea why, and I can't seem to get in touch with them.

I got a message about not being able to add contacts without an account but all acounts were signed in.So when i saw a new software update was available I was excited and hoping iI downloaded and installed it. Walked quickly through the family room features and then started getting repeated error from voice command (which I hadn't even tried to use). When I pulled the battery because I couldn't stop the error from coming up the phone will no longer start up. It is fully charged and will power up, give me the motoblur graphic and get to the hot pink 'work together' logo and freezes there. I'm totally lost as to what to do. Is my phone dead? What can I do to try and fix it?
