My Droid 4 was working fine until I updated it with the latest firmware from Verizon/Motorola. Now Gmail doesn't work. I've been to the VZ store and they did a complete reset and still no Gmail.
View 3 RepliesSince the very beginning of the GB update (actually began with the Soak Test), the LED notification stopped working when I get a gmail. At some period shortly after, the notification to the notification bar also suddenly stopped as well. Now, the only way to see if I have a gmail is to go to Goolgle gmail and check.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I noticed that neither one of our Droid Xs can get the GPS to lock on.Before the latest update we both were using the gps while in Chicago and on the way back to New York the week of August 1rst.This week we can't get the gps to work on either phone; it will continually keep searching and searching.I've been trying for three days now.We have tried 3rd party gps apps and that will not work.We have tried rebooting both phones and pulling batteries, and it still will not fix the problem. Everything else works on the phone- wifi, blue tooth, calls, etc.

Not sure if any other information is necessary, but since the latest update on our phone, after getting into the camera application it freezes and stop responding to the direction you point it at. If we back out of the camera application to the home screen, the phone is still responsive, it is just the camera that we are having issues with.
The new Android release has removed the ability in the music player to stop a song, and you can no longer clear out a playlist (I don't mean deleting a playlist, I mean clearing one out, which essentially stopped music from being played). Tech support level 2 told me that this was purposely done by the engineers at Motorola, but I have no idea why, and I can't seem to get in touch with them.

The phone ringer stopped working and I have to completely shut off the phone and turn it back on to get it to work, but then it will randomly stop working again. Also, the camera will take a picture but when you go to the gallery the picture is not there and it just shows a generic icon. I've done a factory reset on the phone twice and the issues keep coming back.

I have uninstalled the program and re-installed a new version of it, but that doesn't seem to work. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have downloaded a patch that I replaced, even though when I tried to replace it the computer told me I required administrator authorization. However when I proceeded with this action it seems to have replaced the old one with the new one.I have no idea what to do, nor know where to find the problem in writing to post somewhere. My computer knowledge is very limited.

I know all my settings are correct. It isnt that a password was changed. With the same settings I am still able to sync the email on my Xoom. So I dont know why it wont work on my phone.
Ive tried deleted the whole account and re-adding it. When I put everything in, it acts like all is well, no errors. But when I go to the email and hit refresh I just keep getting the 'Connection error'?
All of a sudden this morning my three-week old Razr MAXX stopped connecting to my local wifi network (Verizon FIOS router B + G).
It shows the network SSID and signal strength, and I've entered and saved the WEP password, but it just won't connect. I have powered off the phone, and the router, and all my other devices are working, but the Razr MAXX just won't connect.
I have changed nothing since last night when it was working fine,
the keyboard won't work at all in the OS. Still when the device is turned off, and i press Up (on keypad) + Power it goes to bootloader, therefore the physical keyboard seems fine. Nonetheless it would not work in the recovery, so i cant use d-pad to update.zip root and other shtuffs

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got the 3.1 OTA update yesterday afternoon on my WiFi Xoom, but since then, the Xoom won't charge. When plugged in, the charging indicator doesn't light and the battery icon in the notification area doesn't indicate charging. Charging worked fine before the update.What I've tried so far to no avail:
Different outlets
Wiggling the connector
Power off/on
Factory reset
Unfortunately, I don't have another charger to try.Given that a factory reset didn't fix it and others aren't reporting this issue, I'm guessing that it's just a conincidence that charging died after the update and something is broken either in the charger or the Zoom's charging circuitry.
I've been using K9 to connect to my IMAP email account and everything was working fine for the past month. Woke up yesterday and noticed it was no longer downloading new email and would just time out trying to connect. Tried removing and reinstalling the account - no luck, can't connect with the usual settings. Also tried creating the account with the default Android email and MailDroid and they also won't work. My provider swears that everything is working on their end and that I'm using the right settings.

I tried rebooting the phone and deleting/recreating the email account but I still get the same message. View 3 Replies View RelatedOur facility uses Exchange Server 2003, and I have not had problems with my Corporate Sync e-mail since receiving Froyo back in September. If I was sitting at my desk, I would consistently get a push notification on my phone a few seconds before I saw a new e-mail pop up on the Web Access client on my PC. It was great.All of a sudden, I am getting nothing. I missed several important e-mails over the weekend, and my phone will not show new messages unless I open the E-mail client and manually Refresh.
I have removed/re-added the Account a couple of times, but that doesn't seem to do any good. I have a colleague who has an Incredible, and his work e-mails are working just fine, so I wouldn't think it would be a problem with the Exchange server. The login/password aren't wrong, since I can Refresh and receive my new messages, but why would the push e-mail just halt? Are there known problems on the Blur servers? If so, is there a way we can find out about that without having to just miss a bunch of e-mails?
Now it doesn't want to connect to Gmail. Says "Unable to connect to imap.gmail.com Server name or port number may be incorrect". Everything, including the Gmail access was working perfectly until yesterday when I installed the firmware update.I am just curious, how could a reputable company like Nokia release such a **bleep** firmware update? Or this is what we suppose to be getting with this free amature software?

However, I noticed that I am unable to listen to music, I can't hear my phone ringing, The receiver of my calls cannot hear my voice (low sound), No sound on notifications, no sound for the alarm and slower wifi connection. I can only obtain sounds if I connect to an earset. For your information, volumes settings were checked and found to be set at almost 80% max level. Is there a change in the sound settings?
I got a new Elm (T-Mobile Germany branded) some days ago and after trying all functions (no problems found), I had it updated to the latest firmware R7CA061 with SEUS. (I've found some threads concerning Elm and GPS-problems in this forum, but they weren't connected to R7CA061). After the update, GPS does not work properly any more, or in other words: it does not really work at all! Neither Assisted GPS (I only tried A-GPS using WIFI) nor unassisted GPS does work. I do not get a lock on my location with Google Maps, also after waiting for more than 10 minutes.
My GPS-position is "jumping around" on the map about one kilometer around my actual position. It's completely inaccurate! I have the feeling that it's even getting worse after some minutes. I also tried the GPS test in the service menu: doesn't work! Switched GPS off and on again: doesn't work! Tried AGPS and GPS: doesn't work! Completely shut down and switch the Elm on again: doesn't work. After reinstalling the latest firmare using SEUS once again - GPS works (assisted and unassisted) and also the GPS test from the service menu works properly. But then, after some minutes, GPS seems to fade away again somehow.
