Motorola Droid X :: Notefication Led Not Working After Update?
Jun 9, 2011
I updated to GB over the weekend and notification led has stopped working when I have a missed call or a text message. Notification led from other apps are working. I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this.
Since the very beginning of the GB update (actually began with the Soak Test), the LED notification stopped working when I get a gmail. At some period shortly after, the notification to the notification bar also suddenly stopped as well. Now, the only way to see if I have a gmail is to go to Goolgle gmail and check.
My Droid 4 was working fine until I updated it with the latest firmware from Verizon/Motorola. Now Gmail doesn't work. I've been to the VZ store and they did a complete reset and still no Gmail.
Charging led light not working after 6.12.173 OTA Update. It use to come on when the phone was powered off and plugged in to charge. Any way to get it back?
After my Razr downloaded and installed the 2.3.6 update, my sd card quit working or should I say isn't recognized. Frustrating as I had EVERYTHING stored on my sd card. I called Verizon an the tech told me, "your sd card just went bad, they do that from time to time". We all know how long the Razr has been out, and that seems like such a short lifespan for a sd card, plus it is strange that it quit after the update.
handsfree bluetooth completely not working after the Gingerbread update? I have an 08 Titan with the built in bluetooth and everything worked perfectly on Froyo. Since the OTA update, I can pair and connect but can't actually hand the call off to bluetooth. I try selecting bluetooth on the in call screen and it seems like it tries but I get no audio at all and it just kicks back to normal phone call mode. Speaker works.
I just got an update message for update 4.2. something.. I didnt record the full update number/version.I gave the ok to download and install after reading the warning that it might take up to 7 minutes to complete. It has locked with the red dot "M" logo for 30 minutes. What should I do now? Holding the power button does not turn it off , no buttons get any response. I am about to pull the battery and restart but I fear I might cobble up the update and cause more harm.
Just went to use my GPS for one of the first times since I updated to GB back when it came out and it never seemed to work. I turned everything on and when I clicked on driving directions (inside of Google Maps) it just says Searching for GPS and never seems to connect.
I just bought a Droid Razr Maxx to replace my Droid Bionic yesterday. I purchased it on Craigslist, and just now realized the GPS isn't working. If I use any of the GPS apps it finds 0 satellites in view no matter how long it stays out. I'm really hoping I didn't get screwed on this craigslist deal, but my stomach is sinking right now. So far I have.
My camera on my new xt5 that I bought is not working it never worked even straight out of the box, is there an update or software patch that can fix this, I've tried everything resetting it twice taken out the sd card putting in a new one nothing works it just fails, when i touch the camera or camcorder button the screen just goes all black and stays like that indefinably... until I press the home button. Absolute failure.
Just setup my new, (used) Droid 2. got everything to work except. I can NOT get the LED to light. I even let the battery run low, and on the droid 1, the led would blink, not this one.
Is there something that is known about this, or something I can change or test? Or, did I buy a Droid 2 with a faulty LED?
I have an R2D2 Droid 2 that I (foolishly) flashed over to the standard Droid 2 system version, in order to run the Gingerbread build for it that came out a couple weeks ago. At the time, I was convinced that the R2 would not be getting a GB build, so I jumped the gun.
Now that the official R2 GB has been released, I would really like to get back to stock. It's kind of the whole reason I bought this phone instead of a regular Droid 2. Unfortunately, along the way I've managed to lose my stock image for the R2, and AFAIK there has never been an SBF released for the R2.
I've been trying for at least a month to come up with a solution to this problem, have scoured the internet (and noticed a lot of people that have had the same problem), and have pretty much run out of ideas at this point. I also know that rooting and flashing aren't necessarily condoned by Motorola in general, but does anyone have any other ideas on how I could get back to stock R2, Froyo or GB, at this point?
I have a new Droid 4 and cannot get my hotmail working. I have added the account under "Accounts" and it said it was successfully added and is in the account list. However, I'm not getting any emails...not the old ones or new ones coming in. My gmail account is working just great. How can I get my hotmail to work?
I've had my Bionic for a couple weeks now and love 99% of it. My problem is when I try to use hands free calling with my Clarion CX609 head unit, the microphone does not connect. I hear the call through the speakers as expected but the phone is still using the built in microphone. After the OTA release of 5.9.902 I still don't have connectivity to my external microphone.I had a Blackberry Tour and it connected and worked perfectly fine. I would think my Bionic would work in the same manner only better.
Plenty of folks have had issues with it and are likely wondering if it is working in the latest iteration. So, those of you that have it, tell us your impression of blur mail.
Just ran into a different flavor of a bug described here fairly often... instead of my spacebar getting stuck on, and giving me lots of spaces, it stopped responding altogether. Anyone else ever seen this? It was fixed only after a phone reboot.
Recently I cannot switch from Rear camera to front camera. Worked previously. When I go to switch in the camera app, I get an error "camera unable to initialize". Have to reboot to get camera to work. I cleared cache and data from Camera app but nothing.
The only way I can find out if I have new mail in my Gmail app is if I check and refresh it manually. I have push notifications turned on under the email settings. I have background data enabled. Trying to avoid restoring my phone.rundown of settings to get my notifications back up and running?
I have my personal email synced with the Email option under accounts. My corporate email is also synced using corporate sync. I get notification for new mails for my corporate email but not my personal email. I used to get notification earlier but I am not sure if I turned OFF a setting. I have looked at a bunch of forums and people suggest turning on Data Roaming and Background Data. I have both turned On. I have looked at a bunch of settings and dont see anything wrong.
So i am on my 4th bionic it seems that my signal is always weak. The signal bar in batter use stats is always yellow and grey rarely green. My battery dies faster after update 50% only 4 hours off charger. The thing getting to the most is when i pull phone out of pocket and unlock it the data never works i tried everything rebooting or airplane mode do not fix it. I usually have to pull battery. I did factory reset twice since update. Does this mean i have get #5 ordered for me?
This problem started about one week ago. I have always had problems with the main camera, crashing all the time, the homepage shortcut wouldn't work, until one day it just stopped working and started to get the following message: m.motorola.camera not responding
Droid 4 formerly worked fine with new, more expensive cradle. Had a nightime cradle mode that showed a dimmed clock, for example. Now that the phone is "upgraded" to ICS 4.0.4. it is oblivious to cradle; charges, but screen goes blank a few minutes after inserting into cradle.Offers no cradle modes.
My Razr got upgraded to ICS this morning. Now I have no ringer. Yes silent mode is off and volume is turned all the way up. If I go to 'system setting', 'sound' and try to change the 'phone ringtone' or 'default notification', the get the message "Activity Android System is not responding". I was able to turn on "Vibrate and ring", so at least I'm getting vibation, but no ringtone.
OK, just found another issue with my Droiid X2 running 2.3.4...
I'm having issues with Pandora on my X2 running 2.3.4, I cannot get Pandora to connect and play at all unless it is through WiFi. Then, it only buffers one song and dies due to the problem with the X2 wifi not staying active even when the sleep policy is set to never.Pandora doesn't work on 3g except for the inital advertisement.
Newb with hopefully an easily answered question.Had a Droid 2 originally... you could hit the search button from within the the standard email app and search within the folder you were viewing... it would return matches on to/from/subject... useful for when you needed to find a quick email for reference.Just got a Droid 4 and am trying the same thing... but to no avail. Search always returns 0 results. I could have sworn this worked on the 4 as well, but I might be dreaming.Anyone know if this is a bug, search index issue, etc.? Would really like to have this work, if at all possible.
I know the update is supposed to be rolling out today, and according to vzw you're supposed to be able to do a manual update but every time i check it says i'm up to date and no update is available. so what is the official status is it live or not? or are you only able to do manual if you have an unlocked phone.
I have been checking for the latest update for a few days now and keep getting the message: "Check for update was not available at this time. Try again later." Is this because the GB update is being rolled out in stages still or is there a problem with my particular phone's ability to update?
When is it reasonable to expect the X2 to receive the update to Gingerbread not that the Droid X is receiving it in the field? As a consumer I would have expected the newest model of the Motorola family to have been shipped with Gingerbread but seing the old model Droid X receive it before the X2 is a little puzzling.
