Just ran into a different flavor of a bug described here fairly often... instead of my spacebar getting stuck on, and giving me lots of spaces, it stopped responding altogether. Anyone else ever seen this? It was fixed only after a phone reboot.
View 2 RepliesWhen using my slide out keyboard or even my touch screen keyboard, everytime I hit the space bar my screen will either freeze and make me go back to my home screen or shut the touch screen keyboard down and make me bring up the touch keyboard up all over again and the text will freeze where I can't see what I'm typing. It not only does this in text messages, but also in apps and in the internet browser.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am not sure if Moto is aware of the bug introduced in .173. Ever since the OTA a few months back the orientation/rotation sensor randomly stops working. I haven't been able to track it down to any particular app, but instead have a feeling that it's caused by any app that forces a horizontal orientation. I don't want to limit it to just that though, but basically after this bug is triggered, tilting the phone manually into horizontal orientation doesn't rotate the screen and any games/apps that use the tilt sensor stop responding to it completely. I launched Elixir tools while this issue was occurring and in the Sensor section of the app the two sensors that deal with orientation, the orientation and the rotation vector sensors are jumping all over the place. A reboot fixes this for a few days or possibly until i launch an app that triggers this bug and then it's the same thing all over again.
View 14 Replies View RelatedSpace bar problem does not end with stop working here and there, my brother has a E71 and he can use space bar in home screen for searching the contact names, which makes it much much easier but in E72 u can't use it because it becomes Symbol botton instead "WEIRD"
example: if you have a name like: Megan Fox (YOU WISH) - in E71 write " m (space) f" and there you go buy with E72 if you hit space bar the Symbol block pups up " WEIRD " so you only can search eather first or last name "BAD"...i tested this on few E72s (i made sure it's not only mine)DO SOMETHING Nokia !! we (Nokia fans) are getting beat up, it's been so long and E72 really needs an UPDATE!!!!!

View 14 Replies View RelatedI updated my X6 thorugh NSU. Now the issue I am facing is the touch screen not working properly. Especially, the onscreen button nears edges are not pressed when I try to touch them. For example, if I select Full QWERTY keyboard in messaging, I cannot press spacebar and the entire line. When I try to touch these buttons at the bottom, the line above is pressed.
Looks like some error in screen calibration. But there is not option for calibration in X6 ( being a capacitive touch screen). What should I do now, please help? I hope its just a firmware issue since everything was working correctly on version 10 firmware. Is there any solution to fix the issue?
I go to apps > options > search and boom - "The application Homescreen (processcom.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." [Force close]I have confirmed other users are experiencing this.

View 10 Replies View RelatedFor those using Handcent for texting - I found a way to keep your LED working after you receive a message.
Since we know that the LED stops as soon as the screen wakes, we need to keep the screen asleep! I love the popup feature of Handcent and am not willing to give that up. But in settings, notification settings, there is a popup setting. In there you can leave the popups enabled but DISABLE wake screen. Just had two messages sent to my phone. Got the sound, then the blinking LED and it remained blinking until I woke the phone up. And the popup is sitting there waiting.
It mostly happens when I'm trying to text, but my keyboard just stops typing. The keys light up as if you are typing, but no letters come up! Only started happening since the update.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen using the bundled music player my music will stop playing approx 1 minute after the screen turns off. I do not run any app killers so I know that isn't the problem, also if I use a different music player (like google music) this problem doesn't occur.
I have had this problem for a while and I fixed it just by using another music player, however recently I got a FM transmitter for my car and its buttons seem to interface with the built in music player.
My Droid 4 intermittently stops responding to AVRCP (audio video remote control profile) commands such as play, pause, FF and REW while listening to music through a Bluetooth wireless stereo headset. When I start playing a song, the AVRCP commands work for a while, then the Droid 4 stops responding to them. The headset volume continues to work, but I don't think the phone needs to respond to volume commands because they operate locally at the headset. Here is a list of things I have tried that do NOT solve the problem:Three different music players: factory loaded music player, Power Amp, and DoubleTwist Three different Bluetooth stereo headsets: LG Tone (from Verizon store), Sennheiser MM200, Sony DR-BT100CX Hard reset of the phone Got a new replacement Droid 4 from the Verizon Wireless store "Allow Bluetooth bypass" in the Location & security settings both checked and unchecked.Pin/password/pattern protect both enabled and disabled WiFi turned on and off Screen locked and unlocked.(Toggling between locked and unlocked and vice-versa seems to get it responding to commands, but then wait another minute and it stops responding again.)Installed System Update 6.13.219.en.US on 4/28/12? I listen to a lot of music, so the phone is useless to me if this is not fixed. I'm within Verizon's 14 day return period, so this will be the second Droid 4 I'm returning if the problem is not fixed.

Pandora use to play all of the time in the beginning but about 3 weeks ago it would play 4-6 songs then stop. I would have to shut it down and bring it back up to get it going again. I uninstalled/reinstalled it yesterday and now it will stop on the first song. I thought it might be Pandora but it is doing the same thing on audio podcasts.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using a Droid RAZR with ICS. At times I will receive an email with a timestamp sometime in the future (usually a SPAM message). This prevents new emails from downloading into the email program until after the date and time of that last email. If I delete the email with the incorrect timestamp other meails will immediately download onto the phone.I have looked at the header for this email in Outlook on my PC, and it appears that the email program on the phone is using the timestamp fro the sending computer system, not the one from the local timezone. Does anyone know a way around this issue?

The phone will still vibrate and function fine except for ringing or letting me know about alert/alarms. I am on the latest firmware 45.4.13 but this issue has been ongoing for the past 3 firmware upgrades I have done. I have done factore resets multiple times and ran nothing but stock apps for a full month but it contnues to happen. Honestly it does not bother me to remember to reboot by phone each night but i have missed two VERY important calls because I was in another room and did not hear it ring.
View 4 Replies View RelatedClean boot (restart), the proximity sensor works fine (when on call it turns screen off, when moved away from face screen on). As soon as I make or receive call via bluetooth (Motorola brand btw.) The proximity sensor stops working. When on call it will not turn the screen off... Rebooting the phone will fix until a call is made/received via bluetooth. This was confirmed with other Moto phones (Photon...) as well as different bluetooth devices.

My spacebar key is no longer working, I have stripped it down and cleaned it, and reinstalled the OS, but it is definitely dead.Can I program say <sym> another key to map another key?Otherwise it will be a bin job and off to Samsung.

Normally if i touch the left arrow under and then spacebar u get the search lamp with more symbols now i have to touch them at the same time. whats wrong? if i do the arrow first and 1 sec later the spacebar is doenst work, then got a space. So the Spacebar( more symbols ) only work if u touch them at the same time.( leftunder arrow and spacebar )

View 2 Replies View RelatedOur second Nuron just stopped working. First one did the same thing. I had been using it earlier tonight and checking the GPS features. It has been sitting on the table since then and now it is dead. Like there is no power. Nothing will make it turn on or show any life at all.
VERY Frustrating!! Aside from some alarm querks it has been a decent phone until it dies for no reason that we can see.
