So what is happening to the D2G when it only boots to screen with the battery icon, and stops? After a few reboot attempts, it always goes ahead with the Motorola logo and animation, but I'm wondering what is wrong that it simply doesn't reboot. The battery icon charge is usually in the 20% to 40% range.
View 3 RepliesThe other day my BB without me knowing it, rebooted and when i looked at the screen it loads up to about 60 % and then "freezes" ive tried pulling the battery, sim card. charging it on my mac laptopit will sit there for hours on end so waiting it out doesnt work. Is there anything that i can do to get my phone working again?

Since we know that the LED stops as soon as the screen wakes, we need to keep the screen asleep! I love the popup feature of Handcent and am not willing to give that up. But in settings, notification settings, there is a popup setting. In there you can leave the popups enabled but DISABLE wake screen. Just had two messages sent to my phone. Got the sound, then the blinking LED and it remained blinking until I woke the phone up. And the popup is sitting there waiting.
When using the bundled music player my music will stop playing approx 1 minute after the screen turns off. I do not run any app killers so I know that isn't the problem, also if I use a different music player (like google music) this problem doesn't occur.
I have had this problem for a while and I fixed it just by using another music player, however recently I got a FM transmitter for my car and its buttons seem to interface with the built in music player.
My droid 2 has decided to start acting quite funky.it will freeze, the keyboard stops working mid-text/email then goes back to the home screen like that text/email draft never existed. I also am having trouble answering calls. When a call comes in, i touch answer but there is no response.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm noticing that my battery life isn't what it seems to be after the upgrade.asically, I rarely check my battery status other than looking at the icon in the notification bar. Today, it clearly showed about 75%. I thought that was pretty good considering the phone was off the charger for about 20 hours (extended battery).I took a look at the battery status details and I see my battery is actually at 50%. The icon obviously is a limited indicator but I don't recall it being so far off prior to the upgrade. Has this changed or is it just that I'm remembering it "differently"?By the way, 73% was used by Android System and 50% (extended battery) after 20 hours of standby is still not good and not even close to specifications. Clearly this needs more work.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI received a Verizon "CLND" I've had issues with it charging. Not with battery drain or charge time(when it does charge). Occasionally when I plug my d4 in, to charge I receive no response from the battery icon nor on the lock screen. Other times I plug it in it charges just fine. Things I've tried: wipe cache partition via recovery menu, factory reset via settings>privacy>factory reset>erase internal memory, factory reset via recovery menu then wipe cache partition, safe mode, charge while off, different USB, different outlet, different adapter (part that plug into the wall that you plug the USB into), charge at work, charge via Xbox,PC, and car charger. All micro USB's, adapters and car charger is legit Motorola products adapter and USB are factory products received with purchase of d4 and RAZR. I did notice when the device is off the moment I plug the USB into the phone the notification led flashes green once (thinking of the beep codes on a PC). I am unsure as to what might be causing this issue I would love to get this resolved without having another "CLND " or sending it in for repairs

Today, however I attempted to use the camera and the app froze and the phone rebooted. I uninstalled the built-in camera updates and reinstalled them and the result was the same - load the app and the phone reboots. I tried installing another camera app and the result was the same as the built-in camera app.
View 23 Replies View RelatedThis phone is nice but the battery life has been miserable I've had it for a month and yesterday I was at 4% battery with only 2 hours of screen time and the battery screen says the screen is always using 33% of the battery. I have turned brightness to low and set timeout to 15 seconds and its still the same thing. I also wiped the cache partition and charged the battery overy night with the phone off and nothing changed.

This is kind of annoying especially for a dual core phone.We did find out that a quick reboot fixes the lagging for a while. View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Droid 4 intermittently stops responding to AVRCP (audio video remote control profile) commands such as play, pause, FF and REW while listening to music through a Bluetooth wireless stereo headset. When I start playing a song, the AVRCP commands work for a while, then the Droid 4 stops responding to them. The headset volume continues to work, but I don't think the phone needs to respond to volume commands because they operate locally at the headset. Here is a list of things I have tried that do NOT solve the problem:Three different music players: factory loaded music player, Power Amp, and DoubleTwist Three different Bluetooth stereo headsets: LG Tone (from Verizon store), Sennheiser MM200, Sony DR-BT100CX Hard reset of the phone Got a new replacement Droid 4 from the Verizon Wireless store "Allow Bluetooth bypass" in the Location & security settings both checked and unchecked.Pin/password/pattern protect both enabled and disabled WiFi turned on and off Screen locked and unlocked.(Toggling between locked and unlocked and vice-versa seems to get it responding to commands, but then wait another minute and it stops responding again.)Installed System Update 6.13.219.en.US on 4/28/12? I listen to a lot of music, so the phone is useless to me if this is not fixed. I'm within Verizon's 14 day return period, so this will be the second Droid 4 I'm returning if the problem is not fixed.

Received an email at 11:03 on 8/27 that the problem with the phone is not covered under the warrantee and to contact Motorola as soon as possible to authorize and pay for the repair. I agreed to pay $125 plus tax to repair the screen as long as the overheating and battery not holding a charge was looked into. Today I called to see what was going on and was advised that she (rep) has no idea and would send an email and get back to me within 24-24 hours. I advised that was not acceptable and I was sent to the Repair Escalation Department, Curtis advised me the exact same thing and when i explained that my phone has been with Motorola since 8/24 and they have had my payment since 8/27 and that originally I was advised that the repair would be done and the phone back to me within 5 business days and we were now at 8 and I needed to speak to a supervision he stated that he was the supervisor and there was no one above him to talk to. Someone please explain how I am getting the same exact information (none with a 24 to 48 hour wait time) from customer service and the Repair Escalation Department?

Pandora use to play all of the time in the beginning but about 3 weeks ago it would play 4-6 songs then stop. I would have to shut it down and bring it back up to get it going again. I uninstalled/reinstalled it yesterday and now it will stop on the first song. I thought it might be Pandora but it is doing the same thing on audio podcasts.

The screen still shows that the call is connected, however, the caller and I are not able to hear each other. If I hang up and call them back, the phone works fine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have rebooted & wiped the curve ended up having to go into SAFE MODE to accept something, now the phone will power on to the loading screen but that is it.The bar scrolls across to the right, gets all the way over and then stops.The phone does nothing.Have tried rebooting into SAFE MODE again but it won't even let me do that now.The phone then goes into standby mode, ie. the screen goes blank until I press a button which results in the loading screen appearing again.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI am using a Droid RAZR with ICS. At times I will receive an email with a timestamp sometime in the future (usually a SPAM message). This prevents new emails from downloading into the email program until after the date and time of that last email. If I delete the email with the incorrect timestamp other meails will immediately download onto the phone.I have looked at the header for this email in Outlook on my PC, and it appears that the email program on the phone is using the timestamp fro the sending computer system, not the one from the local timezone. Does anyone know a way around this issue?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not sure if Moto is aware of the bug introduced in .173. Ever since the OTA a few months back the orientation/rotation sensor randomly stops working. I haven't been able to track it down to any particular app, but instead have a feeling that it's caused by any app that forces a horizontal orientation. I don't want to limit it to just that though, but basically after this bug is triggered, tilting the phone manually into horizontal orientation doesn't rotate the screen and any games/apps that use the tilt sensor stop responding to it completely. I launched Elixir tools while this issue was occurring and in the Sensor section of the app the two sensors that deal with orientation, the orientation and the rotation vector sensors are jumping all over the place. A reboot fixes this for a few days or possibly until i launch an app that triggers this bug and then it's the same thing all over again.

I did a safe boot and now since then, it no longer asks me to unlock it upon turning the phone on. It just asks me to unlock it after it boots to the main screen.
Which is the norm? And if its normal to ask to unlock when it first turns on, how can I get that to come back? I'm stock/not rooted.
Since the 3.2 update my screen dims and hangs in many programs such as choosing a picture to upload to facebook. Screen just dims and doesn't do anything. Not happy with this update.

This happens after its been on the charger all night. The only way to fix it is to use quickpull. Which i have set to re-boot everyday at 5am.. Could my battery be going bad or what?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI powered off my Photon trying to get it to charge faster, it had gone from 8% to 14% in 90 minutes while plugged in USB to my PC. It automatically reboots after it shuts down. Out of curiosity, I unplugged it and powered down. It stayed down. As soon as I plugged it into the USB of my PC it powered up all by itself. Kind of surprised at this behavior. I know darn well I have had it off and it stayed off when plugged into a wall outlet. I can't wait for this new battery to come from Motorola.

Last night, I went to charge my BB after the battery had drained to find on the screen a drained battery icon with a red cross/line through it. I had reloaded the set up on my phone and it still does not work and it seems that the white loading bar under the icon still loads after it has appeared and stops at around 75%.Will a new battery fix this?As I have said, I have reloaded and wiped everything on my phone and I have also tried the 'take out the battery while it's charged, put it back in method', nothing happened.
