Motorola Atrix :: Music Player Stops After 4 Minutes With Screen?
Nov 26, 2011I still have not been able to stop the Atrix music player from stopping after 4 minutes when the screen timeout is set for 2 minutes. Strangest thing. The screen shuts off after 2 minutes as it should but the music keeps playing for exactly 2 more minutes then stops. When the screen is set to never time out, there is no problem, (except unnecessarily buring out the screen and the battery, of course.) The auto-end list in the stock task manager has Music, Gellery, Files and Purchased Media set to NOT shut off. I have read that there are other apps that should be on this list, like News and Weather

Jan 9, 2012When using the bundled music player my music will stop playing approx 1 minute after the screen turns off. I do not run any app killers so I know that isn't the problem, also if I use a different music player (like google music) this problem doesn't occur.
I have had this problem for a while and I fixed it just by using another music player, however recently I got a FM transmitter for my car and its buttons seem to interface with the built in music player.

Jul 17, 2012after I repaired my X10 mini with PC companion, the wi-fi connection stops working after few minutes. The indicator shows the phone is connected and there is good signal, but all applications report network error when trying to connect. Turning wi-fi off and on makes it work for another few minutes. The phone is after complete wipe and reset, I tried to connect to different networks and the problem is still there. Other android phones connect to these networks okay and there is no problem (personally tested with HTC Incredible S, Desire HD2 and One X)

Mar 30, 2010I'm having audio issues with my 3gs when bluetooth is turned on. I'm running 3.1.2 and jailbroken. My BT device is a Jabra Stone.
When in the car I connect my 3GS to the car and let my headunit control the audio. After about five minutes of playing music the music will stop playing from the car and start playing through the BT earpiece. I can still control the play functions through the car's headunit. If I turn off the headset the audio returns to the car speakers. I can't find a setting on the phone to NOT play music through BT.
On all my Windows Mobile phones in the past you could select which services to associate with BT. Seems with the Iphone it is all or none. Anyone know a workaround?
IPhone 5c :: Time Stops After 1-2 Minutes After Resetting It
Sep 5, 2014I'm having latest version on the iPhone operating system. ( iOS 7.1.2 ) A couple of days the clock on my phone ( and homescreen ) just stops working, freezes.

Jul 17, 2011I have my screen timeout set at 2 minutes. When using the music player, the screen does indeed shut off after 2 minutes, but a minute or so later the music player stops. If I set the screen timout to never timeout, the music player keeps playing. Is this a problem with all Atrix's or just mine? Also, while I have your ear, how do I actually SHUT THE MUSIC PLAYER? I don't mean just pause the music, I mean the off button?

May 30, 2011I have the Google Music beta on PC and the Xoom music player is syncing nicely to it.However, when playing, it will skip and sometimes stop playing altogether. I have 3.1 update, and 9.5 gb free on internal storage. It happens with on device MP3's as well.Not a wi-fi issue as it happens with wi-fi off. Any thoughts fellow Xoomers? I did search the forums already, and saw some mention of Andro Explorer causing this

Jun 16, 2012I have a brand new MOTOACTV 8GB and have only used it to TRY and listen to music around the house and outside once to walk my dog. I can't get through three complete songs without the device stopping a song. Sometimes it will randomly start to song over after a few seconds, sometimes it will move on to the next song. I have done a factory reset, upgraded to the newest software 6.13, and tried three different music formats, all supported. The same things happens regardless of what I try. If I can't get this thing to play music I'm really skeptical as to the rest of the functions.

Jan 4, 2012I started this discussion on the old froum and didn't get it resolved. I had to send in my old MOTO due to repair issues. They sent back a new one. This new MOTO keeps stopping the music during my workouts. Last time I ran about 40 minutes and it quit. I got it going again but it then quit about 15 minutes later. Yes, it is fully charged and yes I use ITunes to sync the music. All songs are either mp3 or those recently purchased from ITunes Store. It does not always quit on the same song so I don't think encoding is the issue. The software is up to date. Should I call Motoorla support and reuqest a new unit? I was going to just "live with it" but why only have half a unit working? No, pressing the right hand button on the top does not get it started again. I have to let it alone for several minutes then it will start again aftger going into playlists and selecting the palylist I am using and press a song. It doesn't matter whether I use Shuffle of just press the first song in the list. Seems to be a hardware issue since my first MOTO didn't do this.

Nov 30, 2015I've noticed that 4K video recording seems to be capped at approximately 8 minutes. I've had 2 separate videos stop recording at this time. Is there a way to bypass it? I have plenty of space on my 64GB 6P, so it'd be great to take advantage of all that space. Is is a processor or heat related issue?

Dec 11, 2011I had an interesting experience after the update on my run today. Up to now my MOTOACTV has been fine, but today I had the music just stop several times mid-workout and it would not start again for several minutes despite pressing the "music" button quickly or even going to the music screen and pressing the play button. Within a few minutes of trying, however, it would start back up like normal. Also, my heart rate monitor was dropped once, but "sef-healed" and it seemed to be about 10-15 bpm off from normal at times. (This could be a low battery on the hrm, so I'll replace that and try again).

Jul 29, 2011I have now tried three separate music players (ATT Music Player, Google Music and Winamp. All three have a common problem. I begin playing music, and then after a minute or so, the music stops.I've tried several fixes over the last couple of weeks to rectify the issue including:
-Music players are not on the "Auto-End List."
-I've taken programs that seem to be associated with playing music off the "Auto-End List"
-Phone battery savings setting: Performance Mode
-Screen timeout is set at 1 minute. (I know that this should not affect the music player.)The only time that this doesn't happen is when I set the screen timeout to never. So when it is set to timeout, or when I turn the phone off via the power button, the music plays for a minute or so and then stops.

Today however my phone literally Reboots every few minutes and I can't figure out why. I didn't install or upload any thing over the past few days so its random this is now happening.
I checked if any erroneous apps where running but nothing of significance that would cause this.
Can I view crash reports to see what the issue is? Do I need a new phone?
Motorola Droid X :: Generally Freezes Every Few Minutes?
May 30, 2011I got the update on Saturday and it has utterly ruined my phone. Opening an app causes it to crash. It generally freezes every few minutes. Phone calls work so long as the rest of the phone doesn't freeze while they are happening. The battery drains in a few hours while the phone isn't succeeding to do anything. How can I revert to the last version? I cannot afford to have an unoperational phone until the OS gets fixed.

Jul 14, 2011I'm just getting used to my new droid 3, and learning all of the quirks that come with it. In the past, I used my old Droid Eris to listen to Pandora over 3G wireless at work, and never had any issue with Pandora cutting out or stopping even when the phone's display went to sleep. However, on my new Droid 3, it cuts out like clockwork after about 20 minutes, whether or not the display is active or asleep. In order to try to keep this from happening I have changed the Battery mode to performance, turned off data saver (no sense running it streaming music ) and in Pandora turned auto shutoff to Never, and have tried Auto lock both on and off. I am thinking that the built in task manager may be killing it?

Jun 2, 2011For those using Handcent for texting - I found a way to keep your LED working after you receive a message.
Since we know that the LED stops as soon as the screen wakes, we need to keep the screen asleep! I love the popup feature of Handcent and am not willing to give that up. But in settings, notification settings, there is a popup setting. In there you can leave the popups enabled but DISABLE wake screen. Just had two messages sent to my phone. Got the sound, then the blinking LED and it remained blinking until I woke the phone up. And the popup is sitting there waiting.

Apr 28, 2012My Droid 4 intermittently stops responding to AVRCP (audio video remote control profile) commands such as play, pause, FF and REW while listening to music through a Bluetooth wireless stereo headset. When I start playing a song, the AVRCP commands work for a while, then the Droid 4 stops responding to them. The headset volume continues to work, but I don't think the phone needs to respond to volume commands because they operate locally at the headset. Here is a list of things I have tried that do NOT solve the problem:Three different music players: factory loaded music player, Power Amp, and DoubleTwist Three different Bluetooth stereo headsets: LG Tone (from Verizon store), Sennheiser MM200, Sony DR-BT100CX Hard reset of the phone Got a new replacement Droid 4 from the Verizon Wireless store "Allow Bluetooth bypass" in the Location & security settings both checked and unchecked.Pin/password/pattern protect both enabled and disabled WiFi turned on and off Screen locked and unlocked.(Toggling between locked and unlocked and vice-versa seems to get it responding to commands, but then wait another minute and it stops responding again.)Installed System Update 6.13.219.en.US on 4/28/12? I listen to a lot of music, so the phone is useless to me if this is not fixed. I'm within Verizon's 14 day return period, so this will be the second Droid 4 I'm returning if the problem is not fixed.
