Motorola Droid Turbo :: Shoot A Video For 30 Minutes
Dec 14, 2014
Any app or mod that currently exists which would allow me to shoot video for longer than 30 minutes? I'd like to leave it on a tripod, running, for around 1.5 hours during a sporting event.
So I have been on Android 5.1 for sometime now with random Reboots here and there every few days but nothing bad.
Today however my phone literally Reboots every few minutes and I can't figure out why. I didn't install or upload any thing over the past few days so its random this is now happening.
I checked if any erroneous apps where running but nothing of significance that would cause this.
Can I view crash reports to see what the issue is? Do I need a new phone?
The first time it took about 10 mins. 2nd time failed after 30 mins and I had to restart. 3rd time just took 25 mins but completed. What's going on!?!?!
My turbo automatically updated the factory camera app today. So today was the first day I tried recording video and it would not record. I spoke with a verizon tech guy and he had me uninstall the update and now the phone will record video.
Why can't I send a video? I've trimmed it it down to a couple mb and still won't go. I'm on Verizon with full strength signal. I've tried sending with gosms, text and, to no avail.
Since upgrading to Lollipop, my Turbo shows a notification "Video calling has been added" every time I turn off airplane mode. How do I get rid of this?
This is the same notification that appeared (correctly) when this feature was introduced a while ago, and after you went into Settings to enable this, it wouldn't appear again.
When I open the camera app I switch over to video camera and tap the record button but nothing happens. The camera does not record. I do not see a video time counter and I cannot do anything else with the camera. I can't stop the recording because it doesn't think it is recording. Odd. BTW, this was happening before 5.1 update.
So is it possible to shoot slow speed video with the G4? I don't see an option to do this in the default camera app, so I'm wondering if another app can do this or is the hardware just not able to do it?
More recently, my droid turbo has been turning rainbow colors instead of black with the time when it's charging. If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!
Recently, my X6 Flash is not working during video shooting/photography/3rd party app like "BrightLight". About a months ago, I performed a soft reset to resolve this problem, my flash worked perfectly after that. However, it's not working properly not. Not that I don't want to perform soft reset again.
I tried to video shoot on lumia 1020. Sitting at same place focusing on same subject the light seems to vary. The subject in focus becomes darker and then lighter. I had used Procam app, the default Nokia camera app seems to be more stable..
I got the update on Saturday and it has utterly ruined my phone. Opening an app causes it to crash. It generally freezes every few minutes. Phone calls work so long as the rest of the phone doesn't freeze while they are happening. The battery drains in a few hours while the phone isn't succeeding to do anything. How can I revert to the last version? I cannot afford to have an unoperational phone until the OS gets fixed.
I'm just getting used to my new droid 3, and learning all of the quirks that come with it. In the past, I used my old Droid Eris to listen to Pandora over 3G wireless at work, and never had any issue with Pandora cutting out or stopping even when the phone's display went to sleep. However, on my new Droid 3, it cuts out like clockwork after about 20 minutes, whether or not the display is active or asleep. In order to try to keep this from happening I have changed the Battery mode to performance, turned off data saver (no sense running it streaming music ) and in Pandora turned auto shutoff to Never, and have tried Auto lock both on and off. I am thinking that the built in task manager may be killing it?
Once again I took several videos with my DROID X in the vertical position. Has anyone found a conversion utility that properly converts a .3gp video file to rotate the video horizontally (on a PC)? I've found several that CLAIM to, but the problem I continue to run into is that the Audio doesn't propery SYNC in the resulting output file (e.g., .avi).
My Droid 4 has suddenly become very unreliable with regards to the GPS. All of a sudden, it takes several minutes (if at all) to receive sat signals, and if it does connect it gives wildly incorrect information. I have not installed any new software and I even tried Safe Mode, no difference.
I'm trying to watch movies on Netflix with my Droid Bionic. Every 45 minutes Task Manager interrupts and states that the app has been running for 45 minutes and is consuming battery resources. At this point Task Manager asks me if I want to continue running the app. I can't find any setting to disable this. Netflix is not on the "end" list for Task Manager.
I have only had the phone for maybe a month. Yesterday I put it down on the table after answering a text and a few minutes later when I picked it up it was dead. It's not the battery...I recharged it all last night and it still will not turn on.I will take it back to the store since it is still under warranty. However has anyone experienced this before? And does anyone have a solution? Like maybe throw it against a brick wall?
I want to take full advantage of HD video camera on my Droid Turbo, and found an external lavalier lapel microphone (Audio Technica 3350iS, which comes with an adapter for "smartphones including iPhone and newer Android phones"). But even when I use the adapter, the video recorder will only use the phone's on board mic. How can I disable/mute the onboard mic? Scoured the interweb, and at one point there was a perfect app "Mute Mic", but the NSA or Google or Motorola decided it was too useful to live.
A while back, I downloaded Google Calendar 5.2. That obviously created duplicate calendars (stock and 5.2). Any reminder or event added to the newer calendar showed up on the older one. I had hoped that with various updates, the old calendar would be removed. How can I get rid of the old calendar?
Why does textra use 192+mb? I'm trying different ones out and noticed textra is 192 mb on my app list. Also tried chomp and it's made by same company and its just 15mb?
my friend has the bionic and got the update Monday night, she was dropping data signals by the next day. we tried everything, airplane mode on/off, battery pulls, uninstalled all apps, factory reset, new sim, cleared history/cache/cookies and everything else mentioned here (I had 3 bionics myself) but it is still dropping.what prompted the new SIM was her attempt to return the phone but was outside the return period...rep stated between the update and SIM, it would resolve the data dropping, but 20 minutes after leaving the store it dropped, which led to the factory reset.
I installed the ICS yesterday. Now the Vibrate on touch in the sound setting drops out after five minutes or so.This happens every time I go back to turn it on. Also the sleep in the display setting keeps going back to 30 seconds, no matter what minutes I select . Is this a bug that can be fixed with a update or is there something else I can do.
