IPhone :: 4s 5.1os, Video Camera Will Not Shoot Video
Mar 19, 2012When I open the camera app I switch over to video camera and tap the record button but nothing happens. The camera does not record. I do not see a video time counter and I cannot do anything else with the camera. I can't stop the recording because it doesn't think it is recording. Odd. BTW, this was happening before 5.1 update.

However I haven't got any apps on the phone that allow me to shoot in RAW and the one that I read that's recommended (I can't remember the name now) isn't available on the list of apps that I can download.
I've purchased Proshot, but that doesn't do dng files and I can't find one that can.

Sep 13, 2014i recently got the cyan update for my NL lumia 1520 (yes we have it!)and just since a few days i have been experiencing problems with the stock camera.there is this wonderful feature called <<tap to take photo>> (its been around since wp7)normally you tap the screen, it places a nice square around the place you tapped, it focusses on that spot and then takes a photo.now it just skips the focus and square part and just takes the picture.
this still isnt that bad, cuz of the lumia camera (lumia right, at least the nokia one with recropping and stuff) but whenever i want to take a shot from whatsapp it opens up the stock camera app and it takes bad pictures all over again!its horrible! i didnt spend over 500$ to have a device that cant take proper pictures!and i know its not the cyan update in general because my brother has the 925 and now problems.

Apr 1, 2010I've been using the Satio for the last months and I've been happy with it. It has an overall good build quality, nice UI and and impressive camera, even though the lack of sharpness and those boring smooth edges. However, I was flirting for some time the Nokia E72 and I decided to give it a try. I enjoy its build quality, size and qwerty. The only drawback in the swap would be the camera, or so I thought (the xenon flash is, obviously).
Before I sell the Satio, I had to do a photo comparison! And well, this comparison seems to be pointless and I'm sure everyone thinks that the Satio will perform much better. So did I until I came home, gathered the pics and started comparing them. Before the comparison please note that:
- The first is from Satio
- Full auto in all photos
- Satio photos: 12MP
- E72 photos: 5MP
- Flash: Off
- Image stablizer: Off
- All photos were taken with my hands as still as I could. Different shutter speeds in the same light conditions may cause blurriness and I'll also consider that since it may be important for the photo quality.
- Nokia E72 does not have lens protector and I just cleaned its' lenses a couple times during this. Its photos may suffer the consequences of some dust or grease in the optics.
- Satio is updated to the latest generic firmware
- E72 was not updated yet and is branded to T-Mobile.
What do you think? Is there a 7mp size difference here? Curiously, in some cases, the E72 photos became with a bigger size than the Satio's. You can check all the comparison photos I took here. In these photos, the "s" means that they are from Satio and the "e" that they are from the E72. In the underscored photos "e0001_1" I've increased the sharpness level to "hard".

After I connected it to a wi-fi it did multiple updates and now the windows version is 8.10.14226.359.An update in the Store was stuck and in another thread the restore factory defaults option was proposed, and so I did a factory reset after all the OS updates had taken place.After that I also updated all applications in the Store.The problem is, that only one Camera application is installed on the phone and I cannot find the NOKIA camera app which allows the 38 MP raw images to be captured. I searched the Store for the NOKIA camera app, but nothing came up.The question is how can I shoot 38 MPixel raw images in windows version 8.10.14226.359.

May 12, 2012This problem has been gradually worsening. Happens often when using Maps, but at times with most any app. At first it was only occurring when battery was below 15%. Now it will occur even at 70%. Putting it on a charger fixes this immediately, no matter what battery life is indicating. Reset doesn't help.

Jun 3, 2014my iphone 4 suddenly blank, i thought it is out of battery and put on a charger, but in few minutes later my iPhone turns to be too hot on the right half side of its body. i pull off the charger.
