May 24, 2012I tried taking the battery out for 20 minutes and that didn't stop the phone from repeating the rebooting process over and over.

View 1 RepliesMy wife and I have identical D4s. My battery life is fine, but her battery life is significantly shorter than mine due to a process named RILD, which from the Battery Stats is consuming a lot of battery. Weird because my D4 doesn't show this process running.I have done some basic web research and discovered it is the Radio Layer Interfaceon why it keeps coming on, staying on and how to stop it in a kind and gentle manner.
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy BACKFLIP will reboot itself every few minutes. I don't have to be using it or doing anything with it and it will just reboot itself. It will reboot during a call, texting, charging or any other time it decides to do it. I have done several factory resets and it still does it. It has worked fine for almost 2 years and about a month ago it just started rebooting. There's nothing I've tried that will resolve this problem. The way it looks on the BACKFLIP page its a major problem with a lot of the BACKFLIP phones. This is the second BACKFLIP my family has had the same problem with. My brother just got tired of messing with his and got a new phone. If I could afford the upgrade charges of a new phone I'd do the same thing!

View 2 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to Lollipop, my Turbo shows a notification "Video calling has been added" every time I turn off airplane mode. How do I get rid of this?
This is the same notification that appeared (correctly) when this feature was introduced a while ago, and after you went into Settings to enable this, it wouldn't appear again.
My ATRIX2 goes "process system is not responding" and then goes black within around 2 minutes of starting, but only if my SD card is plugged in.Symptoms:If I remove the SD card, everything is fine, browsing, facebook, gaming, no problem. If SD card is plugged in, it would shows "process system is not responding", and after 1 minute or 2, the phone goes black, and I can only try to hold the power button, for it to repeat the same situation again. During that short period, the phone might not show wallpaper at lock screen, might not load widget, might show "bootup trapped:android.intent.action.BOOT_COMPLETED", might have the clock become 00:00, might be able to let me get in setting, might have some apps say they stopped working, might show notification list but with nothing in it.
The phone is just 3 days new, and I didn't do any of those risky "root" operation nor install "Unknown source" app. All I did was just install a lot of apps from Market. The SD card is a KINGSTON 8GB CLASS10. Also, I thought the phone should have 8gb ROM but I only see around 4 shows up.
I lost my repeating icon on the music, and the song keeps on repeating. What should I do?

I have removed the batterty about 20 times and it still just reboots up to about 60% and get stuck there. There is no error messages, I have connect it to the pc, its being picked up but doesn't allow you to actually get any info on my phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased an HTC One M8 (HK edition) at the end of Sept so I've had less than two months. This past weekend it started rebooting itself approximately every 5 minutes. It only does this when it is using battery power, if it is plugged in and charging it is fine. Sprint did a factory reset in the store and HTC walked me through one via live chat and I'm still having the problem. The fact that it doesn't do it when it is plugged in makes me wonder if it is a battery problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat's the process of unlocking a phone and is it even advisable? It's a Moto Droid. I know someone at work that might be going to China, they can buy SIM cards and use them locally for a lot less $$. Is this something that can be done by a back-alley hacker in Hong Kong and would Verizon later detect that the phone was unlocked? Who here has done it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy C702 just won't start up. It just keeps rebooting. When I turn it on, the logo appears on the screen, the keypad lights up, then it goes off again, then after 2 seconds, it reboots again, and so forth. Earlier when I first got it, it did reboot randomly maybe twice a week, but worked ok after that. But now, it just keeps re-booting without going into the phone menu.
The other funny thing is, at the moment, when I connect it via USB to my PC, I can browse the files/pictures/data in the phone via my PC. I tried doing an Software Update service via PC, and it says the phone has the latest software update. I want to break out of this constant re-booting cycle, and get into my phone again.
Since getting the Atrix2 I have had no software issues or Forced Closes. This evening I woke the phone up, slid the Lock Bar to the right and here is what I get:The process com.motorola.process.system has stopped unexpectedly, Please try again,Force Close.Once I push "Force Close I can get the phone to function, however the same screen keeps coming up at random, also each time i slide the Lock Bar, I get the window or warning immediately. It happens consistently when the screen times out and you use the lock bar, slid to the right, and you instantly get the warning screen.I have also tried a few of the programs and when you access them i get the warning window. Anyone have any ideas as to what exactly is going on? No Downloads done today, just email, plume and some music.Ive done several Power Off/on cycles, It doesnt seem to want to go away?
View 15 Replies View RelatedSo I have been on Android 5.1 for sometime now with random Reboots here and there every few days but nothing bad.
Today however my phone literally Reboots every few minutes and I can't figure out why. I didn't install or upload any thing over the past few days so its random this is now happening.
I checked if any erroneous apps where running but nothing of significance that would cause this.
Can I view crash reports to see what the issue is? Do I need a new phone?
Downloaded the Amazon mp3 app and it spontaneously stops after about 4 minutes.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got the update on Saturday and it has utterly ruined my phone. Opening an app causes it to crash. It generally freezes every few minutes. Phone calls work so long as the rest of the phone doesn't freeze while they are happening. The battery drains in a few hours while the phone isn't succeeding to do anything. How can I revert to the last version? I cannot afford to have an unoperational phone until the OS gets fixed.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm just getting used to my new droid 3, and learning all of the quirks that come with it. In the past, I used my old Droid Eris to listen to Pandora over 3G wireless at work, and never had any issue with Pandora cutting out or stopping even when the phone's display went to sleep. However, on my new Droid 3, it cuts out like clockwork after about 20 minutes, whether or not the display is active or asleep. In order to try to keep this from happening I have changed the Battery mode to performance, turned off data saver (no sense running it streaming music ) and in Pandora turned auto shutoff to Never, and have tried Auto lock both on and off. I am thinking that the built in task manager may be killing it?

Everytime I turn it on, it displays this message:The Process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please retry again.Forceclose Report?I have chosen Report and filled that out, but now just hit Forceclose and it resumes and I don't seem to have any problems.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAny app or mod that currently exists which would allow me to shoot video for longer than 30 minutes? I'd like to leave it on a tripod, running, for around 1.5 hours during a sporting event.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have had my Z5 for a few weeks, and it has been great. In the last day or so it has started to reboot every few minutes. I've spent today trying to debug it with logcat (through adb).
It looks like as soon as the phone tries to go into a lower power state, it crashes and reboots. I've gone through a number of logs, and I thought it was an issue linked to bluetooth, but disabling bluetooth or going into airplane mode didn't work.
The phone is fine when it is being used, or when it is charging it is only when it is idle for about a minute (or less) and all background activities have finished (such as a sync for an app) does it reboot.
For example, listening ot music or a podcast and the phone is fine for hours. But if I stop it, even if it remains connected to the bluetooth device, it crashes.

My Droid X2 keeps rebooting and crashing over and over. When I get past the lock screen it says. com.motorola.service.main has stopped responding or something similar to that, then it cycles through every other app saying they all crashed and the phone then reboots. I did not install anything prior to this and it was completely random...I am currently unable to use my phone right now since it will not stop rebooting. I have pulled out the battery and SD card to no avail.
View 6 Replies View RelatedOver the past week, I have gotten the following:
Sunday...2 random reboots
Monday..4
Tuessay 4
Today..6...6 random reboots out of no where.I bought device when it first came out and battery life has been issue..but recently, just this week, with ZERO additional apps downloaded, its rebooted on me as listed.
Starting yesterday I have seen the above message 3 times. The only thing I have changed on the phone was to enable Motocast yesterday. Also, I replaced the 16GB SD card with a 32GB SD card, early last week. I've only had the phone for about a month. I have been able to power the phone off and reboot and get the phone functioning again. Last night it took 2 reboots before the phone became functional again. What can I look for to determine whats causing the error?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to access the manage applications option under settings, it shows the spinning icon stating its working and then finally the apps look like they're loaded and when I try to scroll down it is EXTREMELY slow. After scrolling for a couple of seconds, it slows down and then stops. After being frozen for about a minute,I get the infamous black popup stating: process com.android.settings has stopped unexpectedly...force close. Also, I am unable to add quick dial contacts. I can get to the screen where it show 1-9 options with Voicemail alredy being #1, but I long press the number I want to edit and then select the contact to use but when it exits back to the quick dial page the contact I just chose is not there.I have the extended battery and prior to the GB update, my battery widget was showing 4200-4230 for the mV readings. Now, it is only showing up to 4155. I put the stock battery in to check that and the same thing, it stops at 4155.
