Motorola Droid X2 :: Won't Stop Rebooting
Sep 8, 2011My Droid X2 keeps rebooting and crashing over and over. When I get past the lock screen it says. com.motorola.service.main has stopped responding or something similar to that, then it cycles through every other app saying they all crashed and the phone then reboots. I did not install anything prior to this and it was completely random...I am currently unable to use my phone right now since it will not stop rebooting. I have pulled out the battery and SD card to no avail.

Today..6...6 random reboots out of no where.I bought device when it first came out and battery life has been issue..but recently, just this week, with ZERO additional apps downloaded, its rebooted on me as listed.

Sep 13, 2012I've had this problem where out of the blue my Razr Maxx will just freeze up and reboot but it's not a full reboot it starts after the Moto Dual Core logo. Has anyone else experience this problem it drives me nuts.

Dec 29, 2012I've upgraded my RAZR MAXX HD to Jelly Bean. It seemed fine at first, and still does while in use, but will freeze and reboot randomly when not in use. It will get to a point where the screen goes dark and the phone will not respond to button presses or bluetooth connections, nor indicate new messages, etc; the phone must be restarted with PWR + VOL UP/DOWN. Oh, and the phone doesn't get hot either. I've tried an FDR (X6), installed only the Google Voice app, and it hasn't helped. I had not a single problem with ICS. I've googled and asked VZW tech support, but no one else seems to be having this problem with the OTA JB update. I grabbed some logs with logcat, but don't see anything. Is there some sleep mode event that occurs after some time or a way to monitor for a memory leak?

Apr 28, 2011I'm starting to see a lot of automatic reboots of my phone, usually preceded by the phone hanging.This can happen when I go. to use an application and it might just freeze and reboot (not the result of an update).It also happens when the phone screen is off, phone is in "sleep" mode. I'll hit the home button to do something and have no response ... screen stays dark. I might hit the home button 1-2x more, but not holding it down or anything like that. After a couple of minutes, the phone will be rebooting itself. These are all full reboots ... I see the Droid eye, etc.

Jul 13, 2011This has only happened twice in the past 6 months, most recently today. I try to unlock my phone and the backlight will come on but the screen is black. Waited about 5 minutes and still the same. Power button will not shut it down. Pulled the battery and waited a few minutes and started it. Boots fine but I get a message that the SD card is corrupt and everything is gone. Had to mount and reformat. No new app's and I don't use any other launchers or lock screens so it is completely stock.

Aug 7, 2012For the last few weeks my GPS has been basically useless. Sometimes if I let it sit and hunt for 30 minutes it finally picks something up. This means it's very hard to use Google Navigator or RunTracks. MapMyRun would sometimes get a lock after letting it hunt for half an hour. Letting my phone sit to do that just drains the battery though.My phone has the latest updates. I used an app to see how many satellites it "sees", and it finds about 7 or so but doesn't recieve any positioning info from them. I've tried turning location services on/off and rebooting the phone. Tried the same thing plus also removing the battery.

May 27, 2012My BACKFLIP will reboot itself every few minutes. I don't have to be using it or doing anything with it and it will just reboot itself. It will reboot during a call, texting, charging or any other time it decides to do it. I have done several factory resets and it still does it. It has worked fine for almost 2 years and about a month ago it just started rebooting. There's nothing I've tried that will resolve this problem. The way it looks on the BACKFLIP page its a major problem with a lot of the BACKFLIP phones. This is the second BACKFLIP my family has had the same problem with. My brother just got tired of messing with his and got a new phone. If I could afford the upgrade charges of a new phone I'd do the same thing!

May 18, 2011Running 4.1.83 update. Prior to this update, Skype didn't work at all. Just static for the folks I was trying to talk to. I just removed Skype. After the update I re-installed, Skype and great, it works. It's important as I talk to a friend in South Africa fairly frequently. Then I started noticing reboots / crashes. Phone just restarts, big old Red M logo advertises the fact the phone has just fell over and is restarting. I think I'm noticing a pattern. I've started leaving Skype running in background so I can get incoming calls from my South African friend. Every time that I've noticed a reboot, Skype was running. It could also be related to poor signal strength. By the way, I'm using Skype over my WAN data, not Wifi. Is there a way to get a crash log from the system.

Jun 4, 2012My Atrix keeps rebooting several times an hour. ATT gave me a replacement and the replacement started doing the same thing as soon as I started using it. I called ATT and they said there was no use in another replacement until Motorola fixed the issue because the third replacement would do the same thing. They said they have replaced countless Atrix at that store alone.
The battery has been replaced. I did a factory reset. There is plenty of RAM, it has nothing to do with any apps, there is NOTHING on the replacement phone and the original phone did it after the factory reset. It has nothing to do with wifi or 4G use. I have never unsafely disconnected the phone from my computer. The restarts are random.
Motorola Photon 4G :: Rebooting When Place A Call?
Nov 18, 2011I used to love my Photon. Lately it just seems to be working worse and worse. My latest frustration is this:I make / initiate a call from my phone. I get the phone screen. In the corner its says "connected". I can't hear anything at all on the phone (BT or otherwise). So I hang up. I place the call again. I get the phone screen for a few seconds, again hearing nothing only this time it spontaneously reboots.his happens I would say once a day, and I don't really make all that many calls. I'm also getting other random reboots, but I've not found a pattern for those. They just happen here and there. I can't remember the last time I made it through a day w/o my phone rebooting itself.
Then there's my battery drain issues. Today I lost 30% in about 1.5hrs and I wasn't even using it much. I went to the battery usage screen I see this:As you can see... less than stellar performance, and what the heck is "Media"? And why does it appear to be using my battery so much? I actually had a pretty light day on my phone to this point in the day and my battery is just evaporating.I tapped the graph and see that this thing is "Awake" almost constantly. I seem to remember a time, before the "Media" thing was showing up, when my phone was only "Awake" here and there.
So, I took this screen shot (below) a minute ago (after it spontaneously rebooted while I tried to call my wife). I tapped the "Media" item on the list and it shows a bunch of items. I frankly don't know what any of this means. I did some research on-line and there are endless threads about this "Media" problem, and much of it does not lead to a successful conclusion. I have to say, this Android phone thing is not impressing me so far. I've been a "techie" guy since the DOS days, but this just feels not-ready-for-primetime. I really don't want to have to reset my phone and re-load all my apps, and reset all my accounts, etc... Frankly I shouldn't have to. I'm just frustrated I guess. I don't know if I have a hardware phone issue, a hardware battery issue, a software issue, some crazy app causing problems

The Atrix 2 must be providing AVRCP 1.3 or better because I now see all the MP3 track, title and artist info on my Kenwood DDX896 head unit when I connect with Bluetooth.Is anyone else doing this, and have you had any issues with it? About 75% of the time, when the phone is in the car dock and the Kenwood comes online, the phone reboots. I think it has something to do with the transmission of the track data because I see the Bluetooth icon turn blue, the Kenwood shows connected and then about a second later, when I would expect to see the track data or "Unknown" pop up, the phone reboots.
