Ever since i updated my phone to the Adriod version of 4.1.1 there has been alot of issues with my phone. Constantly freezing up and rebooting. just flipping through the different screens, pictures, videos, apps, or whatever its been freezing up and rebooting. Its not the battery and it was working great before the update. i had no problems before.
View 8 RepliesI've had this problem where out of the blue my Razr Maxx will just freeze up and reboot but it's not a full reboot it starts after the Moto Dual Core logo. Has anyone else experience this problem it drives me nuts.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've upgraded my RAZR MAXX HD to Jelly Bean. It seemed fine at first, and still does while in use, but will freeze and reboot randomly when not in use. It will get to a point where the screen goes dark and the phone will not respond to button presses or bluetooth connections, nor indicate new messages, etc; the phone must be restarted with PWR + VOL UP/DOWN. Oh, and the phone doesn't get hot either. I've tried an FDR (X6), installed only the Google Voice app, and it hasn't helped. I had not a single problem with ICS. I've googled and asked VZW tech support, but no one else seems to be having this problem with the OTA JB update. I grabbed some logs with logcat, but don't see anything. Is there some sleep mode event that occurs after some time or a way to monitor for a memory leak?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Motorola Atrix 2, already OTA'ed to 2.3.6, sometimes doesn't turn on after I have put it in sleep (normal screen-off sleep). I push the power button and the screen goes off, then next time I need it, it's apparently dead. Actually it's not dead, because after I pull and reinsert the battery, it turns on, so the battery has still some juice in it. As of now, it happened only with the phone in airplane mode (hence, with me sleeping in the bed), so this may be a clue. Also my battery settings are set to maximum savings. Also, a couple times, it happened after I had just sleeped the phone, for I tried to turn it on after a few seconds and it was already frozen.

Since then it keeps turning on then off over and over and over. When I do manage to manually power down and start it back up I have no service and cannot call or text. My WiFi seems to work but thats about it? Is anyone else having this problem? What can I to solve this problem?
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo i uninstalled the few apps ive downloaded since the 2.3.4 update and still my phone randomly shuts off and sometimes it freezes. Ill go to make a call or scroll through the screens and for no reason the screen turns black and the only thing that i can do is pull down the notification bar... i have to turn it off and back on for it to work again. My husband has the same phone and his does the same thing since the update so i dont think its a app.

The frozen cursor occurs for both the touchpad and when a mouse is connected. How should I debug this problem? I am on the stock 4.5.141 build and rooted (to install Swype). No other root related changes.I am using the incipio feather case. When I undock the frozen webtop the phone is working fine. I can dock again to get a working webtop...not an ideal solution though.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRunning 4.1.83 update. Prior to this update, Skype didn't work at all. Just static for the folks I was trying to talk to. I just removed Skype. After the update I re-installed, Skype and great, it works. It's important as I talk to a friend in South Africa fairly frequently. Then I started noticing reboots / crashes. Phone just restarts, big old Red M logo advertises the fact the phone has just fell over and is restarting. I think I'm noticing a pattern. I've started leaving Skype running in background so I can get incoming calls from my South African friend. Every time that I've noticed a reboot, Skype was running. It could also be related to poor signal strength. By the way, I'm using Skype over my WAN data, not Wifi. Is there a way to get a crash log from the system.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Atrix keeps rebooting several times an hour. ATT gave me a replacement and the replacement started doing the same thing as soon as I started using it. I called ATT and they said there was no use in another replacement until Motorola fixed the issue because the third replacement would do the same thing. They said they have replaced countless Atrix at that store alone.
The battery has been replaced. I did a factory reset. There is plenty of RAM, it has nothing to do with any apps, there is NOTHING on the replacement phone and the original phone did it after the factory reset. It has nothing to do with wifi or 4G use. I have never unsafely disconnected the phone from my computer. The restarts are random.
I just switched from an Atrix to an Atrix 2. The Atrix 2 must be providing AVRCP 1.3 or better because I now see all the MP3 track, title and artist info on my Kenwood DDX896 head unit when I connect with Bluetooth.Is anyone else doing this, and have you had any issues with it? About 75% of the time, when the phone is in the car dock and the Kenwood comes online, the phone reboots. I think it has something to do with the transmission of the track data because I see the Bluetooth icon turn blue, the Kenwood shows connected and then about a second later, when I would expect to see the track data or "Unknown" pop up, the phone reboots.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got my Atrix from Orange. I've had it less than a month and now I'm having problems with my keypad. It only seems to happen when I'm texting or onf faebook. I can't see what im writing unless i back out of the text so I can only see where the text is entered. It also lags whilst I'm writing or takes itself out off the message entering screen periodically. It has only just started happening but it's very infuriating. I don't have a screen protector on and it works fine on google, browser and emailing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I click the menu button, settings, and manage apps, the screen goes to the 'Manage Apps" screen under the "Running Apps." The phone shows the circular loading icon and never loads. The phone doesn't freeze- I can go back to the home screen and such. If I go to settings, applications, and manage applications, the same screen shows up but under the "downloaded" applications tab and there is no problem. It would be much easier to just go to manage apps under the running apps tab so I can force close.

The Album can't be open because if u do it freezes and crash, sometimes even make the phone restart and you can't acess any content besides the config.
Netflix have some weird lags too, and sometimes when i receive i call, the led blinks, the smartband vibrates, but the phone freezes, and restart.
Sometimes the Camera app and File Commander crashes too. But sometimes, it starts fine, and if u don't reboot or turn it off, will work normally
i already tried to reset to the factory (In the Phone and by the Computer), remove the SD, clear cache from the apps, uninstall the antivirus, install the antivirus, uninstall all apps, boot in safemode...
To me, really sounds like a software problem... Sometimes it doesn't recognize by the PC when i connect, it only recognize if is working normally.
I got a new phone. It's Xperia Z2. It's almost new and it is already randomly freezing and rebooting. I've already tried soft resseting, hard resseting, factory data reset and repairing with PC companion.

I recently bought a Nokia 5230 on T-Mobile and I'm experiencing problems with it freezing and rebooting several times a day.
I have checked to make sure I have the latest software version. I also ensure that I do not have lots of applications open at the same time. There is no particular function that makes the phone do this, ii even does it by itself when I'm not even using it.

I swapped iphone with my cousin, for a blackberry torch, the phone not that old, 6 months max, but the last week the phone started freezing and crushing, so i looked on fourms, and ended up doing a fresh install off the Os and formated the memory card and did not save the old settings.
But the phone kept on doing the same thing, so i wiped the Os, installed the most uptodate Os i could find, and it still keeps on crashing and sometimes it will do this as the phone loads, as it finishes loading up, or after couple hours.
So its safe to say, it cant be a app, or Os playing up.
Also the main thing i have noticed if the phone stays nice and cool, the phone will work fine, but once the phone warms up a little bit, thats when it starts to crash/freeze/reboot, but sometimes the phone will not turn on after putting the battery back, you have to leave the phone for 5 mins or so.
Could it be a type off thermal cut off to protect the phone? or battery? But the only thing i cant understand is, the phone or battery dont get hot, just warm.
Should I hard reset or just wait for Microsoft's update???
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhile I love the Hardware , Windows 8.1 and apps still make using the 1520 problematical, I've had it for about 9 months but will probably go back to IOS or Android when I hit my upgradability, about 4 times yesterday when I was at an event where I need to take pictures the phone using kept rebooting on me, it may have been the cold it was about 32 degrees, but it really makes it difficult to use the phone in meaningful ways when apps and the OS do not behave, and it's little things like the phone freezing, rebooting or becoming unstable that make it hard to stay with the 1520 no matter how much I love the HW.
