Nokia :: X6 Touch Screen Not Working - Cannot Press Spacebar And Entire Line

I updated my X6 thorugh NSU. Now the issue I am facing is the touch screen not working properly. Especially, the onscreen button nears edges are not pressed when I try to touch them. For example, if I select Full QWERTY keyboard in messaging, I cannot press spacebar and the entire line. When I try to touch these buttons at the bottom, the line above is pressed.
Looks like some error in screen calibration. But there is not option for calibration in X6 ( being a capacitive touch screen). What should I do now, please help? I hope its just a firmware issue since everything was working correctly on version 10 firmware. Is there any solution to fix the issue?

Recently I have found that my touchscreen as been encountering some problems. First of all it very often freezes and the touchscreen wont respond and if it does it lags behind. But the most annoying thing is the problem I have with the keypad. Whenever I am sending a message, whether that be Facebook or a text using the keypad the line of keys that the space is on will not work. Every other key will work except for that one line.

Space bar problem does not end with stop working here and there, my brother has a E71 and he can use space bar in home screen for searching the contact names, which makes it much much easier but in E72 u can't use it because it becomes Symbol botton instead "WEIRD"
example: if you have a name like: Megan Fox (YOU WISH) - in E71 write " m (space) f" and there you go buy with E72 if you hit space bar the Symbol block pups up " WEIRD " so you only can search eather first or last name "BAD"...i tested this on few E72s (i made sure it's not only mine)DO SOMETHING Nokia !! we (Nokia fans) are getting beat up, it's been so long and E72 really needs an UPDATE!!!!!

A couple of times now I've had this problem where I go to use my phone or read a new text that has come through and when I go to enter my 4 digit pin the screen is not responding & I have this blue horizontal line that moves down from the top of the screen continuously like its doing some sort of scan over the phone. I have no way to stop this or to have the ability to enter my 4 digit pin for accessing my phone.
Eventually I give up trying to enter my pin & put my phone down for hours. When I come back to try again twice now I've been able to use my phone like normal and the issue seems to have gone away but other times this still remains for a longer time then randomly starts to work as normal. I've forced my phone to turn off & or reboot but this still isn't fixing the problem. I haven't been able to access my phone for over 10 hours and I have miss calls & messages that people have sent me but unable to get past my 4 digit pin to read them.

Couldnt use touch screen at all suddenly today, I reinstalled the latest firmware update but it didnt help so did full reset and now Ive got the countries screen but can only scroll down 3 countries and cannot select any (select and cancel dont work) also the media bar keeps randomly flashing onto the screen. Anyone any idea what's causing this? It hasnt been dropped or anything, first I knew was I couldnt turn off the alarm this morning. I dont know how to go about getting it repaired as it was a competition prize in july 2009 and didnt come with any warranty documents.

Nokia this time has let me down especially on this phone. They have proven to have failed these touch screen phones. It is my first time to by a nokia touch screen phone and now the touch screen is not working any more. I tried to update the software to version 6.but no change. I feel robbed by nokia as I wasted my money on this phone. Now I can not unlock the phone, I have to switch off the phone and I cant type or save a number,I cant view missed calls and messages. I have send it to techinicians but all the touch screens they tried did not work It records 3gp video files only not mpeg4?

When typing a message or selecting a location on the menu it often takes me up to six pressings on the screen. When I first got it the phone was perfectly fine but now the phone seems to be ridiculously frustrating, time consuming and has no purpose to me at all

Have anyone else noticed that when you plug in the charger the touch screen slows down and doesn't respond properly especially with swiping and scrolling? E.g. instead of swiping it selects item.Try it with lists or a webpage and you should notice that, if you have the same issues.

Got a problem with my 5800 - just today, the touch screen has started being odd. It sometimes works perfectly but then i try and press a button on the left hand side of the screen and it chooses the one at the right-hand side. This obviously makes everything very difficult! Any ideas as to why this might be/how I could repair it? I've tried the touch screen calibration about 10 times, it sorts it out for about a minute.I can send it to Nokia to replace but I could really do without sending my phone away

Since upgrading the phone to V21.0.045 I've had intermittent problems with the touch screen vibrate stopping working, which has fixed itself after a reboot. Also the unreliable slide lock problem has returned with this update. Now, as of this evening vibrate and even the small kick given when you switch on has stopped working. Not fixable by a reboot or taking the battery out.
I'm wondering if this is a hardware issue, simply worn out after 7 months or to do with V21? Can't reinstall V21, the new version of updater won't let me do it.

I was a proud owner of the Nokia X6 since June 2010 till now recently. Every time I send an SMS or edit a contact, it restart itself. Everytime....
I took it back to MTNSP and they told me it cannot be fixed and they gave me a new handset.
The new handset: Now its a new problem, everytime I download software from Ovi, it start hanging, touchscreen not working. I switch it off and on again and it works for about 30 seconds and hangs/freezes. It does this everytime. I tried to delete the programs again but it keeps on doing the same thing. I tried to scan with antivirus program but still no solution

I just purchased a nokia lumia 800. But i have noticed a problem with the touch detection on the screen.
When i swipe (ex. for scrolling on the app list) then the phone some times detects the swipe as a tap, and then might open an app og an URL, or what ever is under my finger when it happens. This behavier is very random, and usually happens at the start of swiping (eg. detects me putting my finger on the screen and not lifting it again, but swiping, as a tap).

I just bought a 5800 Xpressmusic and am going through the learning phase of how to use this phone. So far pretty pleased with what I have figured out how to use but have run into a couple problems. Not sure if I have set up something wrong or if there may be something wrong with the phone. The first problem is the touch screen functions (i.e. answer, silence, options, reject) do not work when I get a call. So sometimes when I hit the "green" button if will connect, but sometimes it will hang up on whomever was calling. I am using AT&T as my provider. The second problem that I am having now is playing music. It used to work, but now it will not play any songs that I have loaded thorough Ovi program. Even the "back" function key is non-responsive, however, the "option" function key does work.

Just ran into a different flavor of a bug described here fairly often... instead of my spacebar getting stuck on, and giving me lots of spaces, it stopped responding altogether. Anyone else ever seen this? It was fixed only after a phone reboot.

My iphone stopped working. I can only see a thing white line on the screen and the screen does not respond at all although turning the phone on vibrate makes it vibrate. The screen has been cracked for some time but has worked fine until today.

My 5800 touch screen is not responding well like any touch screen should. Compared with my friend's phone and he said there is definite problem with touch. Now is this rectifiable? Or better to go for an exchange? I dont trust Nokia Care because my e72 is still with them for some error which they are not explaning properly. Poor customer service.

For the last few days the AP widget in my N97 has started to display "connection error", while of course Wifi is connected and other like Bloomeberg and Weather are working properly.I have tried by removing and after a few hours replacing it, but no avail.Anybody knows if they have cancelled the service.Any other ideas?

When using my slide out keyboard or even my touch screen keyboard, everytime I hit the space bar my screen will either freeze and make me go back to my home screen or shut the touch screen keyboard down and make me bring up the touch keyboard up all over again and the text will freeze where I can't see what I'm typing. It not only does this in text messages, but also in apps and in the internet browser.

I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.

My storm 2 is broken...The touch screen has suddenly stopped working and everythime I boot the phone I get a white screen with various different errors and codes. Each time errors are different...Im sure the phone is unrepairabl so I need to recover my BBM contacts... I've recovered my phonebook, music, pics, files etc from previous backups but I need my BBM contacts... If I can remote access the phone from my laptop I can do it but I don't know how...

Ive got a problem with my space bar. Normally if i touch the left arrow under and then spacebar u get the search lamp with more symbols now i have to touch them at the same time. whats wrong? if i do the arrow first and 1 sec later the spacebar is doenst work, then got a space. So the Spacebar( more symbols ) only work if u touch them at the same time.( leftunder arrow and spacebar )

We have the Xperia Ray and it has been working fine for about 6 weeks until the other day when the screen stopped working and we are therefore unable to access the phone. I have a Nokia Lumia 710 since April 2012. But, from today (9 September, 2012), it's camera stopped working properly. I clicked a pic and then put it in my pocket. I took it out five minutes later to take another one, and since then it's been showing a vertical line. I thought I busted the cover-glass. But it was spotless. So I did a reboot. That did not work. So I immediately checked some other applications that access the camera (like ShutterPro and Handyscan). They too showed the line. Then I reopened the camera app and I zoomed in and even the line got magnified. So I took a sample picture, and viewed it on my laptop. It is a pattern of dots. I enclose the photo with this.
