Motorola Droid X :: Check For Update Not Available?

Jun 5, 2011

I have been checking for the latest update for a few days now and keep getting the message: "Check for update was not available at this time. Try again later." Is this because the GB update is being rolled out in stages still or is there a problem with my particular phone's ability to update?

Motorola Droid 2 :: Cannot Get GB Update - "Check For Update Not Available At This Time"

Nov 12, 2011

Is anyone else still not able to get the update? When I go to Settings and About it still says "Check for update not available at this time". I get that on wifi and mobile. I called Verizon who said contact Motorola. I then "chatted" with a Motorola tech support person and she said 608 is still rolling out in batches.

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Check For Updates Is Not Available

Oct 22, 2012

When I try to do a system update on my Bionic(Menu | Settings | About phone | System Updates)I receive a message saying Check for updates is not available at this time. This has been the situation since updating to .902.There were so many reported problems with .905 that I just decided not to update to that version but would like to try the new ICS.By the way, except for this glitch my Bionic has always worked well. How do I get System Updates to work?I've tried pulling the battery, the SD card and the SIM card per other discussions but that did not work.Don't really want to lose everything on my phone to do an update.

Motorola Droid X :: Check Mark Next To Some Apps On SD Card?

Aug 27, 2011

In my Droid X, when I go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>On SD Card, to the right of some of the apps is a green box with a check mark in the box. To the right of the other apps on the SD card is a grayed out box. I cannot turn the green box into a gray box and I cannot turn the gray box into a green box by tapping on the box.

What does the green box indicate and what does the grayed out box indicate? What changes the box from green to gray and gray to green?

Motorola Droid X2 :: Service Account Required To Check For Updates?

Aug 12, 2011

so, yesterday afternoon, i factory reset my dx2. i suddenly started having issues while walking through setup. original ota gb, no hacks, no roots.i was able to successfully set up my google account, opt to skip verizon backup, & then it gives me a connectivity error w/ (3) options of "retry", "setup wifi", & "skip". the setup skips the screen to set up my various 3rd party accounts such as Internet, facebook, yahoo, picasa, etc. when attempting to setup my accounts via "settings" afterward, it only lists (6) of the typical 12-15 options.this just started yesterday for me & did not occur on the previous 5 factory resets performed over the last week.

the error screen presented during setup after electing to skip backup assistant states something about "connectivity is required to complete setup", giving me (3) options. "retry", "setup wifi", & "skip". "retry" & "setup wifi" are still unsuccessful. selecting "skip" bypasses the ability to set up accounts.additionally, once on the home profile, "system update" states that a "motorola service account is required", giving me the same options as during setup. "retry", "setup wifi", & "skip". and trying to "add accounts" via "settings" only displays (6) available types, half of which give intermittent crazy errors about "problems with my clock on this device." or "timed out" & "your account may not be successfully setup".

Motorola Droid Razr :: Option To Check For Updates Is Greyed Out?

Jun 29, 2012

I live out in the boonies in Montana. I'm on an "Extended Network". They only way I can get my Razr Maxx to check for updates is to put it in Airplane mode, then turn on my wifi. Only then does the option to check for updates become available. If this is the only way I can check for an update, am I stuck waiting until either Verizon or Moto puts the update out for manual pulling of the update? I don't think it will get pushed to me while i'm on an extended network

Not a big deal but thought it was worth mentioning.

Nokia :: E72-2 NAM Update / Check For Update On Site

Mar 13, 2010

2 days ago I checked to see if there has been an update on my E72-2 NAM. I checked through my device and also on the "Check for update" on the Nokia site. Both said that there was an update. My present V is 021.024 and the new V is 022.007. Then I read through the postings to see if anyone had tried the new Version. This morning I checked on my device and I was told that there was no update available, but it was still available on the Nokia site.I am a bit scared to attempt an update normally but even more so now.

Does this mean that Nokia has taken the update back because of problems with it?I need some advice on this. My present Version doesn't seem to be giving me any problems, Maybe because I am not a power user.

Motorola Droid 2 :: Can't Get GB Update

Sep 14, 2011

I have an R2D2 Droid 2 that I (foolishly) flashed over to the standard Droid 2 system version, in order to run the Gingerbread build for it that came out a couple weeks ago. At the time, I was convinced that the R2 would not be getting a GB build, so I jumped the gun.

Now that the official R2 GB has been released, I would really like to get back to stock. It's kind of the whole reason I bought this phone instead of a regular Droid 2. Unfortunately, along the way I've managed to lose my stock image for the R2, and AFAIK there has never been an SBF released for the R2.

I've been trying for at least a month to come up with a solution to this problem, have scoured the internet (and noticed a lot of people that have had the same problem), and have pretty much run out of ideas at this point. I also know that rooting and flashing aren't necessarily condoned by Motorola in general, but does anyone have any other ideas on how I could get back to stock R2, Froyo or GB, at this point?

Motorola Droid X :: Wi-fi Unusable After Update?

Feb 27, 2012

The update has made the wi-fi next to unusable. I have removed the Wi-Fi connection and re-entered it. Power cycled the phone, done a battery pull. Nothing fixes the issue. Try running a speed test it either fails consistently with "network communication failure" or the bandwidth is horrendous. I never had such issues before the update. The issue is not only at home even at work. I was wondering if others were seeing such abysmal performance. I have NEVER rooted my phone. I wish I had and switched to community ROM, they seem to be doing a better job than a corporation like Motorola. I just wish Motorola never updated this phone, every update has caused the phones performance to deteriorate. The Droid X could have been a worthy successor to the Droid but Motorola just screwed it up. I have been a loyal motorola and verizon customer for close to 10 years now. When my contract gets done one thing is for certain I will never ever be buying another Motorola device nor will I ever recommend a Motorola device ever again. Releasing half a dozen devices every year is only what Motorola is good at
