OK, just found another issue with my Droiid X2 running 2.3.4...
I'm having issues with Pandora on my X2 running 2.3.4, I cannot get Pandora to connect and play at all unless it is through WiFi. Then, it only buffers one song and dies due to the problem with the X2 wifi not staying active even when the sleep policy is set to never.Pandora doesn't work on 3g except for the inital advertisement.
Droid 4 formerly worked fine with new, more expensive cradle. Had a nightime cradle mode that showed a dimmed clock, for example.Now that the phone is "upgraded" to ICS 4.0.4. it is oblivious to cradle; charges, but screen goes blank a few minutes after inserting into cradle.Offers no cradle modes.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt does work correctly when i put it in my pocket it does shut the screen of, When i see the problem is using the phone in portriate mode. it will just shut the screen. Seems to happen whent he phone is straight up and down ti will just lock the phone. i can unlock it and it goes straight back to locked. I have my screen time out set to a minute, and since i disabled it a few days ago i haven't had the issue. and also seems like the setting may be related to pulling down the notifications bar. It kind of makes me think my finger is hitting the light sensor that makes the phoen think it is in my pocket. Maybe that setting needs increased to a few seconds before it locks. Or maybe we just need an option under in pocket detection to set our own preference in seconds from 1 to 10. Either way wanted to report the problem and see if others have noticed this.

However, when I select the Google Maps button, it brings up a web based Google Map application instead of the DroidX's Map application as described in the instructions I've read.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been using my Bionic for about 24 hrs now (pretty heavy useage) and only 3 items show up in the "Battery and Data Manager":
Southwest Airlines App (96%)
Cell Standby (2%)
Phone Idle (2%)
That's it. I've used about 30 different apps and I've had WiFi on and off, I've been on LTE and switched to CDMA only for a bit. I've tried out the GPS, used Google Talk, the browser and a bunch of other stuff that I know takes up battery life and I want to know what is killing the battery? Is there a fix for the Battery and Data Manager or somewhere else on the phone I can look for this info?
I'm just getting used to my new droid 3, and learning all of the quirks that come with it. In the past, I used my old Droid Eris to listen to Pandora over 3G wireless at work, and never had any issue with Pandora cutting out or stopping even when the phone's display went to sleep. However, on my new Droid 3, it cuts out like clockwork after about 20 minutes, whether or not the display is active or asleep. In order to try to keep this from happening I have changed the Battery mode to performance, turned off data saver (no sense running it streaming music ) and in Pandora turned auto shutoff to Never, and have tried Auto lock both on and off. I am thinking that the built in task manager may be killing it?

I've read that "always on mobile data" needs to be enabled and the way to do this is to go to Settings - Wireless & networks - Mobile Networks - check the enable box. However, on my phone, option is not there. When I go to Mobile Networks, all I see is System Select - Home Only or Automatic. Is "always on mobile data" actually the answer to avoiding streaming music to stop? If so, how do I set it?

Pandora use to play all of the time in the beginning but about 3 weeks ago it would play 4-6 songs then stop. I would have to shut it down and bring it back up to get it going again. I uninstalled/reinstalled it yesterday and now it will stop on the first song. I thought it might be Pandora but it is doing the same thing on audio podcasts.

Some music or other audio files are quiet, so I have to turn up my radio to hear it well. This causes a problem when I'm using navigation at the same time, because when it tells me to turn it's super loud. Is there a way, or an app out there to adjust the volume of my navigation separate from my music player/pandora?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had put my comment in another post, but by the looks of it, it had never been addressed by any Motorola expert/employee, etc. Upon allowing my phone to sit, or after a reboot I can only make one phone call that is dialed at what I would call a rapide pace. It is what appears to be every call after that where I have a problem. In other words, I find the person in my contacts, select to dial it (or I input the phone number) and it just sits there. It can be anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute until ti finally dials.

After several minutes of the bar "requesting" the message comes up stating " A communication failure occurred with the selected Mobile Data Service. The server may be busy, please try again later. If the problem persists contact your administrator." I have tried hard resets, taking out battery, and to delete Pandora.

Anything I create a tasks, it doesn't show up in the widget unless I go to the widget settings and change which tasks are viewed (I normally leave it on all tasks). If I complete a tasks and it was in the widget, it's not removed from the widget unless I manually refresh it. If I try to delete the widget, the tasks process force closes.I can create tasks and get reminders and everything just fine, but they just don't show up in the widget properly.
View 13 Replies View RelatedRAZR Maxx My problem is about the 4 bottom icons/buttons/keys (Menu, Home, Back, Search) not lighting properly. When in a fairly dark room they always stay lit. Last night before sundown the icons were not lit. It was too dark to see them without being lit. It also depended on the position. I do not know if this was due to internal position sensors or just getting different levels of light from the light sensors. I called Verizon Tech Support and they said this was normal. It may be "normal" but hard to use the phone if I cannot see the icons/buttons/keys.

I see there is a new message on the widget and when I click it all the panels are Loading with blank info, when I go back and it says there are no recent unseen updates and I click on it and see all updates I can see all of them however any pictures will not load as well.everything is else is working good. I tried factory reset and few other suggestions from around this forum with no luck. the only thing I didn't try yet is a new blur account.

Last thread I created they said it was the sd card that was corrupted so I brought a new one and this one is still the same. Is it atrix doesn't work on 32sd card?

I hold the on button and volume high button on for three to five seconds . sometimes this works and som times it don't. If i hold the two buttons for longer a message appears about start protocolect. I have no idea what this means.

My phone will show that it is connected to h+ with the up down arows showing but my phone is unable to open any web page or do a speed test. This issue is intermittent and a phone tester will provide a temporary fix. It even drops a connection during continuous data use. I register the Host Routing Table.

Usually it will quit if I press the button again, but sometimes not. It's not a big deal but it's kinda irritating.
View 10 Replies View RelatedOn both Pandora and slacker radio my songs are randomly "skipping" as if I was hitting the skip button. They might play for 5secs or the whole song. The only time the problem goes away is when I'm out of skips! Between that and the awful wifi that cuts out just as randomly, its rather unlistenable. I stream music all day at work, and I've started just using 3g because it doesn't cut out like the wifi, but its eating data and still skips. If I don't find fixes to these issues this phone is going on craigslist... I got it assuming it would out perform my mesmerize which so far it does not.(at least for audio) Also, the streaming audio glitches out every time I press the top hard button.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust went to use my GPS for one of the first times since I updated to GB back when it came out and it never seemed to work. I turned everything on and when I clicked on driving directions (inside of Google Maps) it just says Searching for GPS and never seems to connect.
