My Pandora only works when I'm connected to WiFi. It used to work any time but now it doesn't. I'm sure it's probably a matter of changing settings but I don't know what to do.
View 11 RepliesWith my Galaxy s-6 Pandora will only play with wifi, when I am out of range the song title will come up but no music, then another title will come up. I-heart radio will work as does Amazon music. This started about 1 month ago before that all was fine. I have reset to factory setup so even with a clean phone it will not work. Again only workers with wifi.

My laptop and other devices that connect to the WIFI are getting on the internet just fine. This problem just started this morning. I re-booted my router at home but that did not work. I eliminated my home network and then re-connected to it, but that did not work.
I've got my S2 now for maybe 2 weeks now and only now I noticed that my Wifi hotspot function is not working. I tried that with 2 different SIM's (in different countries) with the same result. Tethering via USB works fine. I can switch on the wifi hotspot (open or secured) and I can even connect to it. On my Win7 machine I have a connection for a few moments, after that I lose connection and at the end I lose connection to the wifi hotspot.
On my blackberry I can connect the first time. That connection stays open for maybe a minute. After that it automatically disconnects and I cant connect anymore until i restart the hotspot. When I switch off the hotspot it takes a long time and it ends with error (the status under wifi hotspot). If I just enable hotspot and disable it again it is without errors. So this seems only to happen when a client actually connects... I tried already a factory reset and read somewhere to enable bluetooth before enabling the hotspot, but the problem stays the same ...
i have tried everything under the sun and the problem still exists.my problem: my bold 9780 is connecting to my wifi but won't use the connection when browsing the web.
i don't understand and it's quite annoying why it won't work as it did before. i've even spoken to orange and sky to try and solve this problem and still nothing.
whenever i browse the web on my blackberry via the browser through wif the pages never load. it's actually quicker to disconnect from wifi and use 3g then wifi. my blackberry was working fine before why has it stopped working. this has to be fixed as it's a pain!
i've tested other wifi spots and i have the same problem so i know it's not my router. i removed the security on my router but still no luck. i've done a master reset on my blackberry and still the wifi will not work. i've even had the handset replaced and still the wifi will not work!
the blackberry connects fine to the router and its shows as connected to the router but it just refuses to load pages when wifi is on. it gives me an error message:
"unable to find the requested server"when wifi is on and i try to browse the double headed arrow icon in the top right should be on when using the wifi, but it hardly appears at all when the pages attempt to load it should be on constantly when loading pages through wifi.
i can't even see Internet videos it keeps buffering the gives me the same error message as above.
I recently got C3-00. The reason for buying this was the WiFi. I tried to detect the WiFi that i have at home and I was successful in doing that. When i go to the browser to load a page it shows "Loading" for sometime and then it says "Cannot connect".how i should i configure my phone to get the WiFi running. On my previous phone i had requested a GPRS acvtivation through my service provider as well.

Just got this phone a few days ago and I'm having a few issues with it. I have noticed that Pandora will stream only when I connect to wifi. When I am on LTE, it keeps trying to load a song and then immediately skips to the next one, but is never able to load it. During this time, if I turn on wifi the app immediately starts playing. I noticed that this is not a network issue since I am still able to access email, browsing, etc when on LTE - just not stream music.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone developed a really strange problem with wifi. It connects to wifi networks but can not access the internet. The connection seems OK, the phone gets IP address but it can only ping the router! Any other ping returns "destination unreachable" error. And the really puzzling thing is that this problem does not exist on unprotected wifi networks. Eh. I have checked on several protected wifi nets, none worked, so the problem must be with the phone itself. So far I have tried the Wifi fixer app, but it could not fix this for me. Phone is HTC One S, Android 4.1.1

I have wifi syncing issue. I used to connect with my two computers, one is my home PC (win7 64bit), the other is my office Macbook Pro (Lion). My iphone's itunes library is on my home PC, I have checked "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi" on itunes options. In general, wifi syncing is working if iphone connected to my home PC only with USB.
At office, I used itunes on my macbook pro to listen iphone's music. So, I connected iphone to macbook pro with USB, then loaded my iPhone's music. (not push sync button). At home, I plugged my iphone into charger generally, then turning on itunes that couldn't find my iphone 3GS for wifi syncing. For resolving the issue, I need to sync with USB once, then it would work again, but it's so annoying.

Recently, we have changed our intertnet providers. Before hand we had AT&T, and when I was connected to wifi via phone it would work perfectly. Now though we have Cox for internet service. My phone is connected to the wifi, but more than half the time does it ever work. In small gaps am I able to connect to the internet with itOther times it's like I might as well not even be on. I noticed with my Lumia 920, that if it had a weak/poor WiFi signal, it would still try to use that, and apps would report a bad internet connection, even when the LTE signal was great.This same thing seems to happen with my 950. Here at work, we have no WiFi. There are some nearby, but weak. If the phone latches on to one of them Pandora will report the internet connection is bad.
So, while at work I turn off WiFi. Problem solved, right? Wrong... WiFi turns itself back on from time to time.Why can't it fallback to my LTE when WiFi is bad? Why does it turn WiFi back on on it's own? Should I report this to the Insider program?
I got the HD a couple of days ago and upgraded the software the first evening I got the phone.. Then the WIFI just stopped working ( said I was connected but yet no pages would load which was very frustrating..)..Took phone back to shop and got a new one now , with 2.2 on it which works fine.. I know I am likely to get the warning for the udgrade tonight but I will probably not install it

I thought it was very strange that after taking home my new Galaxy S6, that when I prompted it to connect to my personal password protected (WPA/WPA2) Wi-Fi, that it connected with no problems and never asked for a password.
That prompted me to check the security for my Wi-Fi, which is still in place. I use the Cisco Linksys EA6300 for my Wi-Fi. I have always been prompted for a password when first connecting. Maybe it was me signing into my Google account? Maybe it stores Wi-Fi passwords?
This is the first time I've used a Samsung phone in a while, and I've noticed that when I'm connected to WiFi I have a permanent notification saying, "WiFi Connected" in the notification panel. There's no way to dismiss it, and I can't seem to find a system setting to prevent the notification from appearing. Is this just how TouchWiz is, or am I missing a setting somewhere to turn it off?

I have hade som problems with my Wifi before using my Iphone that forced me to restart the wifi on my Iphone, but it worked when i did that.
I tried to restart my router, modem and phone wich made it work but not for long. So the issue is that it connects fine to the Wifi but i dont have any internet.
So I have noticed every since lollipop update, whenever someone else connects to the router my internet stops loading on Galaxy S5, this did not happen before lollipop, also I own a iPad mini and iPhone 5c and they both work fine as well, so I'm sure the problem it's with the GS5.

I returned home on Saturday and my S5 failed to connect to my wifi, I connected it manually and it connects and disconnects almost instantly. I have 5 other devices including a samsung galaxy note 4 in the house which all work perfectly fine. I've tired switching the router off and on again and that makes no difference, I removed the phone battery for 5 minutes and it then connects to the wifi for about 5-10 seconds then again disconnects, what else I can try....

Then all of a sudden the WiFi would say connected and strong signal but all of my apps would say check connection. I've been going over my limit on mobile data because of this and recently I went home for the weekend and the phone had no problem using my WiFi at home. Also anywhere on campus my laptop and old iPhone 4 get great WiFi service so the problem has to be with my S5.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded from a galaxy S4 to S5 and I'm having big problems with receiving calls and SMS when I am connected to my home WIFI connection.
Only when I turn off wifi on my phone I start receiving the backlog of SMS messages.
Some times I can receive calls when connected to wifi but the SMS messages don't come through until I disconnect.
My wife has also just upgraded from a s4 to s5 but hers appears to be ok.
I have noticed that in more networks/mobile networks/network mode, my wife's gives options of 3G, 4g etc but mine says LTE/WCDMA/gsm which I though was strange as we are both on virgin mobile. I don't think this is the issue though as it's a wifi issue.
My first smartphone is a Galaxy S5 and I use ATT as my provider.I have had the phone since it came out and for the first few months I was using low data. ATT called me and recommend I downgrade my data plan. I followed their advice and downgraded. Anyway, about three months ago my data usage that counts on my bill went through the roof. I haven't changed anything that I am aware.
I called ATT and they told me that Data usage counting on my bill will always take precedent over WIFI when I am connected to WIFI (like in my house). As an example if I watch a movie or listen to the radio with my smartphone at my house with my WIFI connected, then my data usage used for these services will count on my bill.
Do I automatically have to disable my mobile data everytime I connect to a WIFI in order NOT to be charged? I assumed that WIFI took precedent and that as long as WIFI was connected then the data used wouldn't count on my bill. If this is true, then is there anyway to have my phone automatically disconnect when I am connected to WiFi?

- Plus, I have to actually turn off the Mobile Data so wifi can even connect (still no Internet though).
