With my Galaxy s-6 Pandora will only play with wifi, when I am out of range the song title will come up but no music, then another title will come up. I-heart radio will work as does Amazon music. This started about 1 month ago before that all was fine. I have reset to factory setup so even with a clean phone it will not work. Again only workers with wifi.
View 4 RepliesJust got this phone a few days ago and I'm having a few issues with it. I have noticed that Pandora will stream only when I connect to wifi. When I am on LTE, it keeps trying to load a song and then immediately skips to the next one, but is never able to load it. During this time, if I turn on wifi the app immediately starts playing. I noticed that this is not a network issue since I am still able to access email, browsing, etc when on LTE - just not stream music.

- No problem from the Wifi end because I've another phone and it connects just fine over wifi.
- Plus, I have to actually turn off the Mobile Data so wifi can even connect (still no Internet though).
- When Mobile Data is on, Wifi says "Ready to connect when network quality improves" but as mentioned before, no problem with wifi.
This is a combination issue. I noticed with my Lumia 920, that if it had a weak/poor WiFi signal, it would still try to use that, and apps would report a bad internet connection, even when the LTE signal was great.This same thing seems to happen with my 950. Here at work, we have no WiFi. There are some nearby, but weak. If the phone latches on to one of them Pandora will report the internet connection is bad.
So, while at work I turn off WiFi. Problem solved, right? Wrong... WiFi turns itself back on from time to time.Why can't it fallback to my LTE when WiFi is bad? Why does it turn WiFi back on on it's own? Should I report this to the Insider program?
For whatever reason, Pandora stops after each song when my phone goes off and the only way to go to the next song is by turning the screen back on and opening the app. WiFi is set to always on during sleep. I'm connected via Bluetooth if that matters. Is it the app? There's a setting in advanced in Pandora about auto lock and I have clicked and unclicked and it still stops after each song. Once I turn the screen back on and open the app, the advertisement turns back on or the next song plays.

It finds and connects to wifi networks but does nothing with them. It is most annoying as it is proving to be rapidly costly and a pain to use now.
I've tried the reset, forget this network, phone off and on, reset the router etc, all other phones and devices fine except this iPhone.

I have an application which works only through WIFI and not through 3G network. Its a security camera app which when I install on it on an iphone it works over 3G no problem but not on the blackberry. Is there something I should be looking at ? And when I turn off my 3G I have normal conection too 2G and I can call and text. I've already done a reset through the computer. I don't know what to do anymore..

I am able to browse the internet and everything else but my email will not sync. I have tried changing my email connection to use, GoRogers, Rogers Media and Rogers Internet. Gorogers and Rogers Media connect but they don't sync. Rogers Internet does not connect at all with any app I use. I use gmail btw. I live in Onatrio Canada if that helps any. I am really really frustrated with this as I got a data plan mainly for email.

I recently dropped my White Iphone 4s down a toilet on a night out!!! I quickly picked it up and took it home and dryed in off and placed it in a bowl of rice and a few days later everything was fine and working just like normal apart from some water under the screen. Also the Wi-Fi option on my iphone just isn't displayed and greyed out.
I have also recently updated the software on the phone to the new 5.1.1 which i have seen there has been problems with about the wi-fi dropping and not being displayed. I would just like some advice if anyone else has had this problem and if which i think it probably is, the hardware has become loose inside the phone and its not the software.

I recently went back to my old iPhone after much frustration with another smartphone product that I wont mention here. I updated the phone to 5.1.1 as reccomended by iTunes and started setting up mail etc and everything worked as expected. But then I noticed that push was not working whenever I have 2G/3G data enabled. If I have WiFi only enabled, push comes in fast and works great. If I have 2G/3G data only, or 2G/3G data + WiFi, I never receive push notifications, not even if I go into the individual apps first as some people suggest.
It just so happens that I work for a major Canadian Wireless carrier and I have access to some pretty cool tools that enable me to see packet data coming from the device going towards the internet. What I can see here is that the device does NOT initiate any connection to the nn-courier.push.apple.com servers on port 5223, ie. this is some kind of device issue. There isnt even a DNS request or anything to indicate the device is interested in making the connection at all. On my WiFi network, a DNS request and the connection to the push server is made immediately when WiFi comes up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Linxys router that works fine with my PC, Xbox, ipad, google chrome and Television. For some reason mine and my wife's iphone 4s iOS 7.1.1 will not connect all of the time. It either will tell me, "unable to connect" or it will connect to the wifi but internet will not work on the phones. This always happens in the evening. The phones will work sometimes during the day. I have logged into the router and there are no other devices connected to the wireless other than the ones that I have in my house. I also have a "guest network" that has always been turned off. All of my other devices always work while the iphones won't connect.Â

My blackberry would somehow "know" when I arrived at work each day and turn on the wifi and logon to my corporate network. I found this to be the most amazing feature ever! No longer did I have to worry about draining my battery because I forgot to turn off my wifi.Then I updated my OS to 7.1 from 7.0 and now this no longer happens and I don't know how to reactivate it. The good news is I am back on 7.0 due to a device switch. The bad news is I cannot figure out how to make this work again.

Ive always had my wifi on that way when i enter a saved network or att hotspot it switches to wifi and i save on data useage. Well, sometime after the gingerbread update my wifi stopped working correctly. It would be on and show the wifi symbol but when two saved network locations, it would "connect" to the network but no data was being sent or recieved. I even tried it on an att hotspot and no luck. The wifi turns on fine and says it is connected but it hasno signal as indicated by the grayed out wifi signal bar. Now i read something that said to put the phone in airplane mode and thenturn wifi on and it should work fine, well i did that and it works as long as i stay in airplane mode. I dont see this as a fix but instead as only more evidence to an apparent problem. What good is wifi on a phone if i can only use it when the phone can no longer work as a phone.

My Nexus 5 refuses to turn on Bluetooth only. The slider moves to the right and then back again. I have factory reset the phone 3 times, flashing different versions from 5.1.1, 5.0 and 4.4.x to see if it fixes the problem, but I have had no luck. I know some other people have had problems too, but there doesn't seem to be a clear solution. I don't know if it is a hardware issue, since wifi works fine and the wifi and Bluetooth antennas are one unit located on the back cover( according to my understanding). I tried replacing the back cover from a different nexus 5, but still couldn't get Bluetooth to work.
My husband is in France with his brand new iPhone 4s (Verizon) and cannot make a call or receive one. The wi-fi works so he can use email but no voice. Verizon says his sim is activated for global but so far ha been of no use.

I just got a bold 9900 a couple weeks ago and I like it. I use facebook a lot and it worked on the mobile network not on wifi. Yesterday I synced my bold for updates and now facebook doesn't on my mobile network and only on wifi. How I can change it back so I can use my mobile network rather than wifi.
