My iPhone 5 has never had a problem with picking up a Wifi signal. I just moved to a new apartment a few weeks ago and my iPhone won't recognize any Wifi signal at all. My Xbox One recognizes multiple signals and connects with ease, same with my Macbook Pro. And my iPhone has no problem picking up Wifi networks at other locations (Work, Starbucks, etc.).Â

I have a wireless router downstairs and an access point upstairs (both withe the same SSID).The problem is that my phone does not pick up the strongest signal. Each time i have to disconnect the Wifi on my phone, after connecting the Wifi again it picks up the strongest signal.

My new iPhone 4g won't pick up wi-fi signals. My old iPhone picked up wi-fi miles away so I don't understand this. I purchased this new iPhone as refurbished. Could it be defective?

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Often my iPhone doesn't pick up wifi when I come into a wi-fi zone and stays on GPRS until I go into setting, wifi and then it picks up the network. Sometimes it does it automatically but it's annoying when it doesn't. It sometimes does the same with network signal if you go into a 'No Service' area and then come out of it it often takes a long time to pick up the network signal again.

Some times my phone stops making and recieving calls. It looks like it is working, shows it has signal on the bars, for a while, then they disappear.I have tried hard and soft resets and restoring the phone. Usually if I leave the phone over night it starts working again in the morning so I figured it might have been a carrier issue. I am using GiffGaff but the phone was purchased directly from Apple and is factory unlocked. When this happens, if I make a call it looks like it is about to start making the call, but never changes; If you his the end call button it says Ending call... but freezes like this until you restart the phone or kill the phone app. I have tried my sim in my wifes phone and it works fine, I am unable to try anyone elses as they don't wish me to butcher their sims My phone acted exactly like this once when GiffGaff had issues one weekend, once they sorted their issues it has worked fine since.
I am a good 70 miles or so from a Genius bar and never really wanted to send the phone away in the post, as likely it'd take over a week to get it back, how ever, as my phones no longer functioning as a phone, I guess it isn't much of an issue any more If I could fix this myself I think it'd be great but I have started to get the feeling maybe it is some hardware issue with the phone.

I wanted to use a new sports app today but it wouldn't work correctly because the phone won't find a GPS signal. The usual icon isn't appearing and phone just remains in searching mode. I'm sure I opted to not notify people of my location through latitude but I've used the Google sat-nav since. When I go to locations services GPS satellites is unticked, I tick it and exit but everytime I go back it is unticked?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my ip4s (brand new) on the 19th of January. And it was working fine up until last week when it stopped detecting wifi networks When I turn on wifi the "finding networks" circle keeps on searching with no success even though I used to connect to same router before. I tried everything: resetting network connections, rebooting phone. I even downloaded the latest iOS software just now. The problem seems to persist and to add to that the battery is being drained quickly even though I already turned off wifi (so it ain't still trying to connect).

Recently my iphone 4s wont find any of the wifis available in the area. When i search for wifi nothing appears, it just has the searching symbol, which doesnt go away. I have tested my home wifi with my friends phone, which is the same phone on the same software, and it works fine for her. I have had no problem with wifi until now and there are no other problems with my phone, 3g internet still work fine.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my g3 for about 6 months and I haven't had a problem with it until now.
Recently (about a day ago) I came home and my phone wasn't picking up wifi anymore. So I thought I would do some troubleshooting myself.
I forgot the network, then rejoined it. Still nothing.
I rebooted my phone, still nothing.
I cleared my cache. Still nothing
Finally i completely factory reset my phone and tried to connect to the network and it still wont connect. It can see the network but just wont connect.
What do these Icons represent or mean, and the meaning when they change Colors from White to Blue (Status Icons). There was a GB 2.3.4 User Manual Posted on Moto's site, Unfortunately no information was included about these Items. What does it mean when all three are blue, Including the H+ icon having arrows beneath it at the same time? Is it also Possible to have the Intro Video Posted or embedded to this thread as well please.
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy S5 won't find my home wifi. It doesn't even come up as an option to select in the wifi networks. Other networks can be found, like my grandparents wifi and my neighbours however I can't find my own. Even when I manually add the network using our SSID and network password it just says that the connection is "not in range".

2G Signal not working.I have had my BB Torch Since November last year, I have been working away from home alot and never had any problems with signal. It has always been on 3G set up on my phone.Due to a new little family member i have had time off from my work and been staying with my family, I have noticed that the signal in my house on 3G is not great. I switched it over to 2G on my handset and noticed it gets NO SIGNAL at all. I went out side and still the same no signal on 2G but soon as i change it over to 3G its fine.In the past i have had the Bold 9000 and it was set up on 2G & 3G so it would change over to which is stronger.I got my old bold out and have tried my sim in it and it works on 2G with no problems. Is there a fault in the torch with 2G signals?
My iPhone 4S has recently developed an issue where it can browse using safari and opera and download via the app store fine on 3G or any cellular data network, but not on wifi. It finds and connects to wifi networks but does nothing with them. It is most annoying as it is proving to be rapidly costly and a pain to use now.
I've tried the reset, forget this network, phone off and on, reset the router etc, all other phones and devices fine except this iPhone.
