I have had my iPhone 4 for nearly a year now and previously i have had no problems with the phone but over the past few weeks since i have done the ios:5 update.. It's been driving me insane. I lose signal when i need signal the most & it's also been cutting out all of my phone calls.

This morning, my iPhone said "No Service", all the way into work.There where no issues with Vodafone's network, and there are no areas where there is no coverage, on my way to/from work and home.I tried turning Airplane mode on then off again, to force the iPhone to search for a signal, that didn't work (usually does). I had to turn the iPhone off, then back on again, and there it was - a full 3G signal (5 bars). This happens a lot - the iPhone either falsly reports that I have 2G or 3G, when in fact I've only got regular GSM, or it reports "No Signal", and will go all day without aquiring a signal, even in known good areas, unless I turn airplane mode on then off, or turn the whole iPhone on then off.

iphone 6 plus keeps searching singal, I have tried on/off airplane mode, reset network setting, take out sim card, even reset all, but it still doesn't work. It's been 1 more weeks.

I've done everything I know to do (reset network settings, hard reset, software update, restore to factory default, replace sim card) still have not fully resolved the issue. It seems to work periodically at random, but only has 1 or 2 bars where I should normally have full service.

I get service everytime it goes back to the activation required screen and that doesn't let me go on any other screen, otherwise it always says it's searching in the service bar.. this past week (tuesday) I sent my wife a text, and she never received it as of thursday. on thursday I decided to reset my iphone, and after doing so my text messages were then received. however now I'm getting the "no service, and searching" indication on my phone when I'm in the house, and I've never received that before. I wanted to use a new sports app today but it wouldn't work correctly because the phone won't find a GPS signal. The usual icon isn't appearing and phone just remains in searching mode. I'm sure I opted to not notify people of my location through latitude but I've used the Google sat-nav since. The PH itself is nice , but the service plans sucks big time in India.b. the minimum Rs 299 plan does not let you operate your browser or other apps , for the same price on a Nokia one can can a do a lot more and now push email , that BB prides itself for is available on most Nokia via NOkia messaging service FOR FREE or Gmail instant mail service .c.I feel in RS 299 plan BB should allow minimum 3 MB of data usage on top of it any further usage should be charged at 5 paisa for 10 kb, so ppl can use apps like Facebook etc on the device.d. India is a price conscious mkt with restrictions like these you will loose customers to Nokia who is king supreme in India and upcoming Android devices who believes in Freedom and choice.e. dont tread Apples path in India , they are a big flop in India for the same reasons.f. Lastly , release of new OS like 5.0 has not touched india , the highly sold devices in India such as 8900 and bold . Speak to your lazy partners like Airtel and Vodafone to update the OS on their system , where as Vodafone UK, Spain is on OS5.0 since dec 09.
Also am planning to get rid of mine BB as soon as Motorola Milestone touches Indian shores (Feb end or March 2010).As i don't see any hope BIS will see any improvements..

If I lose service for any length of time the phone appears to just give searching for it. I have to go into manage connections and disable/enable Mobile Connections and get back service almost immediately.
As not answering a call could cost me my job it would be pretty handy to resolve this.
I am on 7.0.0 Bundle 2290 and I only noticed this after the last couple of OS updates.
Obviously a reboot/battery pull resolves the issue temporarily but the next time I suffer an extended loss of service then it recurs.
My blackberry curve 8530 for metro pcs keeps shutting off by itself (very frequently) and taking like 5 minutes to restart. I factory resetted the phone and it is still doing it. I tried to update it using the Desktop Software but it would not even connect, it would just charge it. Also, I went to setting and memory and prompt when connecting, and it still did not work. Also it keeps going in and out of service, when I know I have service, it says "Searching for network".

I don't own a phone with OVI maps yet, but I'm seriously considering it. I would like some advice before I go ahead. I intend to download the maps on PC then use the maps on the phone in offline mode at all times. My question is:- When carrying out a search in offline mode, is it possible to search for local businesses or service types? E.g. If I'm in London, and wanted to find a hotel, could I just run a search for hotels within the city? Or another example, wanting to search for a local McDonalds? Would I have to know the address, or could I just type in "McDonalds"?

When I use my iphone4 as a hotspot, I run through all the required settings but my computer does not recognized my iphone4. I check the signal which has 5 bars and AT&T then an "E".. I expected to see a 3G so I reset the system and still received an "E". So my deduction is that the Hotspot will not work without a 3G signal.

I'm on o2 uk, I have an xperia Ray with a new sim. My phone constanly loses signal yet when i search or start using the phone even when I haven't moved from where I've been standing or sat for the last hour or so the phone suddenly jumps to 2 or 3 bars on the signal icon! How can that be if I'm stationary it goes from nothing to 2 or 3 bars?? Also my family who are on the same network but have iphones & blackberry don't have this problem, always have strong signals as we live in a good signal strength area but I'm the only one who can't get a signal. If I go to work other people can use their phones-also on o2 but I get nothing! I get texts hours & days after they're sent to me, calls get sent to voicemail as I have no service, o2 sent me a new phone so it's not the phone, it's a new sim, I've tried going on gsm only, rebooting, turning off the radio etc etc but I'm no better off, I'm at my witts end & ready to switch to another brand phone.
