I just got a bold 9900 a couple weeks ago and I like it. I use facebook a lot and it worked on the mobile network not on wifi. Yesterday I synced my bold for updates and now facebook doesn't on my mobile network and only on wifi. How I can change it back so I can use my mobile network rather than wifi.

Everything works browser, txt, MMS, calls, even my weather app. Just every time I try to log into Facebook, it tells me "Could not connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If this continues, contact your service provider for support".I came from a Tmo BB Curve so the service was already there. I re-registered on the BB network, resent the service books from the web and from my phone, did hard re-starts, went online to My Tmobile and updated the IMEI. I uninstalled the app from the phone, performed a hard reset, then reinstalled the app from the Blackberry App Store.
View 7 Replies View RelatedOur company was able to receive the new Bold 9900 but it seems there is an issue with activating wifi on the device. Have tried turning on Wifi, but it attempts scanning for networks then eventually fails and turns wifi off. It doesn't even list any active access points. Doing a battery pull and reset the device to factory defaults does not seem to do the trick. I am thinking it could be a defective device or perhaps a software issue.

I have the blackberry 9900 and want to turn off the network internet services without turning off the wifi function. My mobile carrier is vodafone and even when I am connected to wifi, my credit is being used up. How do I disable the internet function but still use wifi? When I try disabling data services, wifi doesnt connect at all?

If I’m using Wi-Fi connection there is no problem with google chrome & Facebook. but only when im using mobile internet, in the google chrome said err_timed_out & Facebook can't refresh to latest news. I have no problem with other apps in my phone. only google chrome & Facebook.

I called t-mobile and they won't provide me with a code because I haven't had it for 60 days yet with them. So i too to do one of those phone fixers in the corner stores that say they unlock phones and they punched in a bunch of codes and it didn't work. So i took it to another person said yes yes of course I can do that for you, punched in a bunch of codes and again, failed. So now my phone only has two more attempts on it to unlock it and I am scared to take it to another place or try one of these online codes you can buy as I don't want to end up with a $600 phone that is permenantly locked.Any sugestions? I could just wait the 60 days out and call t mobile back again but by then I will be in australia and if things don't work then I can't exactly just take it back into the. T mobile store.Could it be that the codes aren't working because the phone is programed not to be allowed to be unlocked for 60 days?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to get the 9900 Bold with my contract by Vodafone. Just got to know, that I have to order an "emailconnect-option" (connecting by APN blackberry.net) to be able to surf in the internet with my BB.
But with "emailconnect" I get just 30MB per month! May be enough to push the emails, but not to surf or use some apps.
Is there any possibility, to use my "mobileconnect-option" (connecting by APN web.vodafone.de) instead of the emailconnect-option?
I purchased my 9900 the end of last month and got the goodies along with it. For some reason for the past couple days I keep losing my data services and i either have to reboot or cycle the mobile network connectivity.OS. 7.1.248

When I'm on internet via my mobile network, Facebook & the browser can't connect. Blackberry Apps World & Amazon haven't got this problem. I have already went to my provider (Proximus) and they said my internet must work fine.

It seems to be picking up Rogers network, when I am on the Telus network. It will not find the Telus network at all. I've tried pulling out my simcard, and resetting it. I've tried to manually select Telus, but it will not come up, it says: Mobile Network: *none* or Rogers.
I happen to buy a used BB9900 from an online selling website in the UAE, and it turns out, the network seems to be blocked completely and I cant possibly try to input any MEP codes in any way possible. Is the device as good as dead or is there still a way to revive the device?

Also when I go into apps it tells me in order to continue using it I have to upgrade, when I click upgrade it says there is not enough network coverage to process my request, yet I am connected to the net ok?
Having issues viewing web pages that are not setup for mobile applications. I figured out to change the font settings so I can reed print, but adjusting and readjusting the touch screen by pinching and zooming in is not practical, each time I click on a link, I lose the setting Ibrowsing just adjsusted, and I have to do this all over again. By doing this 9 times out of ten My phone goes to a ling I have no intrest in viewing, my BB curve was a lot better at browsing web pages than this model of phone.
1. Can I turn off the touch screen?
2. How I do adjust my browser settings so that pages load with having to zoom in or out?
3. Having issues with the phone locking up while texting and viewing web pages, the cell bar (strength ) freezes up at the same time as the phone, i suspect its the battery, but pulling it each time the phone locks up will leed to the phone flying, never to return.
4..Im tired of viewing the hour glass app as the phone decides if its going to worl or not, I have two weeks warenty left and ruuning a up to date black berry operating system.
Title explains it all. I want to know if there is a way to get my BB 9700 branded AT&T to work on T-Mobile 3g network.

I tried to restart the phone, remove the battery, but still doesn't work. I tried my SIM card on another phone and it's working without any issues.
My phone won't connect to the mobile network. Everytime I try to connect it the device tell me that it not part of my service plan. I have contacted my mobile provider and they did not find anything wrong and I have put my SIM-card in other phones and the network works on them so their is something wrong with my phone.
