Bold 9900 unlocked (t-mobile) works 3G in Europe without any problem, does 9930 unlocked (verizon) will work?I have this question becuase I have to order one on ebay soon
View 1 RepliesI just got a bold 9900 a couple weeks ago and I like it. I use facebook a lot and it worked on the mobile network not on wifi. Yesterday I synced my bold for updates and now facebook doesn't on my mobile network and only on wifi. How I can change it back so I can use my mobile network rather than wifi.

Everything works browser, txt, MMS, calls, even my weather app. Just every time I try to log into Facebook, it tells me "Could not connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If this continues, contact your service provider for support".I came from a Tmo BB Curve so the service was already there. I re-registered on the BB network, resent the service books from the web and from my phone, did hard re-starts, went online to My Tmobile and updated the IMEI. I uninstalled the app from the phone, performed a hard reset, then reinstalled the app from the Blackberry App Store.

It was supposed to be an officially unlocked phone (BB 04.11.08) and I verified this by inserting a T-Mobile US sim card - I saw the network name on the screen, so I was positive that i was not screwed up. When I returned to Europe with the phone, I put a T-Mobile Hungary SIM card in it - and it didn't work: Invalid SIM card... Can it be still locked? Is there something like a region lock? If I have not seen the TMO US sim card working, I would be sure that this phone is still locked to AT&T..

I bought an unlocked Bold 9900 and when I swithced it on it showed the optus network as the default. Put in a telstra sim card and changed provider to them. However after 5-10 minutes it defaults back to Optus. Been to Telstra they say its locked to Optus, spoke to Optus they say the IMEI number is not locked to them
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a blackberry bold 9900 from mobile up front with a prepaid sim in it. I am moving to australia so need to get it unlocked. I called t-mobile and they won't provide me with a code because I haven't had it for 60 days yet with them. So i too to do one of those phone fixers in the corner stores that say they unlock phones and they punched in a bunch of codes and it didn't work. So i took it to another person said yes yes of course I can do that for you, punched in a bunch of codes and again, failed. So now my phone only has two more attempts on it to unlock it and I am scared to take it to another place or try one of these online codes you can buy as I don't want to end up with a $600 phone that is permenantly locked.Any sugestions? I could just wait the 60 days out and call t mobile back again but by then I will be in australia and if things don't work then I can't exactly just take it back into the. T mobile store.Could it be that the codes aren't working because the phone is programed not to be allowed to be unlocked for 60 days?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to get the 9900 Bold with my contract by Vodafone. Just got to know, that I have to order an "emailconnect-option" (connecting by APN blackberry.net) to be able to surf in the internet with my BB.
But with "emailconnect" I get just 30MB per month! May be enough to push the emails, but not to surf or use some apps.
Is there any possibility, to use my "mobileconnect-option" (connecting by APN web.vodafone.de) instead of the emailconnect-option?

View 7 Replies View RelatedHaving issues viewing web pages that are not setup for mobile applications. I figured out to change the font settings so I can reed print, but adjusting and readjusting the touch screen by pinching and zooming in is not practical, each time I click on a link, I lose the setting Ibrowsing just adjsusted, and I have to do this all over again. By doing this 9 times out of ten My phone goes to a ling I have no intrest in viewing, my BB curve was a lot better at browsing web pages than this model of phone.
1. Can I turn off the touch screen?
2. How I do adjust my browser settings so that pages load with having to zoom in or out?
3. Having issues with the phone locking up while texting and viewing web pages, the cell bar (strength ) freezes up at the same time as the phone, i suspect its the battery, but pulling it each time the phone locks up will leed to the phone flying, never to return.
4..Im tired of viewing the hour glass app as the phone decides if its going to worl or not, I have two weeks warenty left and ruuning a up to date black berry operating system.

When there is no service I can't do anything but sometimes when I put on the flightmode and switch back I can get my carrier name and 3G, but still no phone service. I can go out on the web so the internet connection works but I cant make any calls and so on.
When I try another carrier in the phone, it works just fine! And there is nothing wrong with my simcard, because the card works in my iPhone 4.

When I turned off my Mobile Data and WiFi, and then I run My Verizon app, the 4G LTE symbol pops up on the top of the screen and My Verizon app gives my access to my account. I can check minutes, data, pay bills and every thing. When I leave the app, the 4G LTE icon disappears in about a minute, sometimes it stays longer (even hours) but goes away eventually (and the Mobile Data is off the whole time, btw)
I always thought when the data is off, you cannot have access to the network including your Verizon account. Is HTC One making an exception for My Verizon app?
I have (accidentally) rec'd calls at 30,000 ft on a delta plane with my network option on wifi only and having logged on to Deltas onboard wifi. This led me to believe that it is possible to make and recieve calls anywhere in the world as long as I am in a hot spot.
I have contacted my carrier, T-mobile, and have rec'd mixed signals from them. I am about to depart for spain and was thinking as long as I set my phone to wifi only, I should be able to make, recieve calls and data without incurring any roaming charges since it is all data or VoIP via the web.

However, I was still unable to send or receive MMS messages (yes, they are a part of my plan). I always receive the message "could not send or receive all messages." I was told after that this particular phone just won't send or receive MMS messages on the T-mobile network. I'm not sure I believe that. I was wondering if anyone else on this forum has this problem, or knows how to fix the problem.
