Motorola Motocast :: Has Stopped Working On Droid Razr?
Aug 6, 2012Every time I connect my phone to the original USB cable the Motocast USB program starts running and then it says please wait while Motocast USB loads your content, and finally the MML has stopped working window pops up with the only option to close the program. I have uninstalled the program and re-installed a new version of it, but that doesn't seem to work. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have downloaded a patch that I replaced, even though when I tried to replace it the computer told me I required administrator authorization. However when I proceeded with this action it seems to have replaced the old one with the new one.I have no idea what to do, nor know where to find the problem in writing to post somewhere. My computer knowledge is very limited.

Mar 14, 2012All of a sudden this morning my three-week old Razr MAXX stopped connecting to my local wifi network (Verizon FIOS router B + G).
It shows the network SSID and signal strength, and I've entered and saved the WEP password, but it just won't connect. I have powered off the phone, and the router, and all my other devices are working, but the Razr MAXX just won't connect.

Jan 14, 2013I am using a japanese Motorola Razr 201M by Softbank.I have a problem with my gallery. Recently my SD card got full while I was taking pictures, and so the new saved pictures were moved automatically to the internal memory. Now, each time I take a photo or a video, it is automatically saved to a "DCIM" folder in the device storage (the photos taken with the Facebook app are saved in the same folder too).Since the folder changed, I have problems with camera apps like the default camera app, the facebook camera app or the paper camera app. They freeze each time I try to take a picture.I also have a problem with the gallery app, which cannot upload (display?) the photos and videos I took anymore. It is refreshing, but nothing shows up.I would like to restore the default gallery folder in the SD card, so that each time I take a photo or a video, it is saved in my SD card.

Dec 7, 2012I have a relatively new Razr M. I have taken several pictures with it over the past 2 months with no problems. Starting a few days ago, I am having this problem: I'll be viewing photos in the gallery, and all of the sudden the photos go blank. There is just a gray square. I can flip from gray square to gray square -- no image shows. If I go back to the main gallery, it may or may not show pictures. There might just be gray squares, or all the pictures might be there. I have tried turning my phone off, then back on. The pictures will show up initially, but then when I start flipping through them, suddenly they turn to gray squares again. I have transferred the pictures to my computer, just to make sure they are saved somewhere. But can't figure out why they will show up and then turn to gray squares.

Jan 25, 2012My photo gallery is a mess. There are many duplicates and two thumbnail directories. I would like to wipe it out and reimport photos from my PC. How the photo directories are arranged on the Droid Razr. If viewed in a file browser it appears that all of the subdirectories branch off the DCIM directory. However I have the following with multiple copies of each photo.
DCIM/.thumbnails/.thumbnails
There is also a "pictures" directory. What photos go into thumbnails? Which photos go into "Pictures"? What are the .spmo files? If I merge all of the thumbnails into one directory, is there going to be a problem with the files called "thumbdata3"? What will be best file structure and how to best organize it.

Apr 13, 2012 The My Gallery app on the Razr/Razr Maxx automatically chooses photographs to display on the opening screen of My Gallery. Some of these photos are of contact photos of people I don't want to look at all the time such as business associates. I would prefer to replace the photos of my choosing such as pictures of my family, friends , vacation etc.
Is there any way to re-select the photos that are displayed on the opening My Gallery screen?

I've tried again and I still get an error. I've tried rebooting and I still get an error. Yahoo and Gmail are fine.

Dec 8, 2015After updating to latest and greatest android lollipop on galaxy s6, my gallery stopped working, I went to apps, force stopped and cleared cache on both gallery and camera, booted in safe mode and still have problem of gallery stopped. can't find answer anywhere, and Samsung was of no support other than to wipe my phone.

The phone ringer stopped working and I have to completely shut off the phone and turn it back on to get it to work, but then it will randomly stop working again. Jun 30, 2012My Razr got upgraded to ICS this morning. Now I have no ringer. Yes silent mode is off and volume is turned all the way up. If I go to 'system setting', 'sound' and try to change the 'phone ringtone' or 'default notification', the get the message "Activity Android System is not responding". I was able to turn on "Vibrate and ring", so at least I'm getting vibation, but no ringtone.

Apr 4, 2012First Maxx had the display screen timeout set to 2 minutes. Whether plugged in to charger or not, after two minutes the screen went BLANK (locked), and stayed such until I unlock it.Due to issues with it automatically redialing the last number (did my voice mail 51 times before I powered it off), got a replacement.This one after the 2 minutes, the screen would DIM, but would not go BLANK, but only when plugged in to the charger. Off the charger, 2 minutes, screen goes blank.Verizon has been no help on this. This phone kept losing the data connection, so they have sent me a 3rd... and it does the same with regards to the screen going blank.
