The unit worked normally for my workout yesterday. This morning I tried to turn it on for my workout, and nothing happens. I plugged it into the computer to see if I had inadvertently killed the battery. The white charging light comes on, but the display doesn't show the battery percentage graphic, and nothing happens when I push the power button. The Motorola charger is at home, so I can't try that until after work.

As after an hour and 40 minute indoor run with Moto's chest strapped HRM, display always on, backlight all the way down, sampling set to two seconds, my MA only has 50% battery remaining after starting fully charged.8GB running .78
View 3 Replies View RelatedReceived a new 16GB Motoactv this evening. Completed set up of MotoCast on my MAC. Unit was working fine, GPS / Radio etc.
Then checked for software update, it found 4.56.76, downloaded the sw and started to update. After about 30mins the MAC had a box saying updating, do not disconnect and the screen of the unit seems to be cycling. Initially I'd see the red batwings then an image of the unit and the progress bar underneath. The yellow moves about 1/3 along the bar then stops, after a minute or so the unit seems to power cycle > batwings > and so on....
After about 45 mins I disconnected the unit from the USB/MAC, tried a start + pwr reset but I still only get to this cycling mode (batwings > image + progress bar). Unit was charged for about an hour before I started the initial set up.
I've had a MOTOACTIVE for about a month now and I still haven't gotten to grips with the Pace & Power Zone settings. I could be wrong but to me it seems like they're just not working.In the Pace Zone settings the lower and upper limits are all set to meaningless values and I've tried a number of times to set them manually with no luck. Then the Power Zones Templates are completely blank and I am unable to set anything at all.

It's recording all other info without difficulty. I've only used it about 3 times but always get a 0/0 when it comes to the power/watts reading.

The best product to date i have used for tracking my gym session.I have noticed that everytime i press the power button, the volume increase and the music section starts ups. Very hard to track my gym work majority of the time as it stops the start button to work.I have updated to the latest version, no change in behaviour.Powering off is not an option as it automatically goes into bootloader mode, very hard to get it out of bootloader mode.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

I can sign into mymotocast.com just fine, but cannot sign into motoactv.com. It gives me the message "Invalid credentials. Please try again."

According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).
I just got my nexus 6p i noticed when i press power button I only see switch off option nothing else (restart or aeroplane mode etc) I scanned through everything and could not find anything,Attaching screen shot.

The Power button does not work, when I plug the phone in the wall charger it does not power up and only the backlit of soft buttons is on with no other reaction. Plugging the phone to PC's USB does the same thing. Tried removing battery, SIM and memory card. Every time the result is the same.

After a flight today I powered on the phone and the Motorola logo appeared but did not go into its usual animation during the boot process. Instead the logo remained still and about 65 seconds after powering on, two messages appeared at the top of the screen above the logo:"Modem did not power up (2)" and "Starting RSD protocol support." It froze in this state and the power button had no effect. I removed and reinstalled the battery three times. the last time waiting several hours before reinstalling, but the problem remains. There is no physical damage to the phone and it was working perfectly about an hour earlier when I first shut it off.
View 4 Replies View RelatedLast night I changed the wallpaper to a new picture.Following the completion of that, the screen went black.Battery was not low.I plugged in the charger and the screen came back on but was locked up.Unplugging the charger made it go black again.I left it on the charger overnight and nothing had changed this morning.I removed the battery for a few minutes then replaced it.I turned the phone on and start up seemed normal until the four nav buttons at the bottom lit up and the screen dimmed.A few seconds later the screen went black and nothing I tried would bring it back on, short of removing the battery and starting over, again.

I pull it out of the case at the dentist office to kill some time before my appointment and it was very warm and would not power on. Thinking it may be the BSOD issue that I have experienced twice already, I did a battery pull. To no avail. Hooked up to a charger when I got back to work and still nothing. I attempted to capture a debug report for Matt but I believe the battery was completely drained. If I cant get it to start up and have to return it what personal data is on the internal storage?

View 12 Replies View Relatedon mine XOOM /WI-FI tab, it seems that i need to first push the on button then let go an push an hold again for a sec then it will power on? Is this the normal way to turn on from a total power off state? As in sleep mode only need to be pushed 1x and screen comes awake. There actualy is nothing of any extent on the power button in the emanual that I could see for normal power up.Also as iv seen some comments elsewhere on the Sound Output quality, well on a set of earbuds its good quality sound, on the built in speakers ..well for a device of this small size one should expect decent sound but cant expect very much as to high end sound really it is only tiny sound. But ..the HDMI out sound is very poor quality , on a TV in or AVAmp in the same..very flat, dulll, boxee sound-tested using same music vidaudio file as from laptop, or other small device. and resulting sound is ..well crap... just only real neg comment otherwise.

According to Wikipedia, 2 mm x 0.5 mm size is to be used up to 3.15 v only, pretty sad the Moto refused to comply with EIAJ or DIN standards.http://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?itle=Coaxial_power_connector&mobileaction=view_normal_site The only reason they did what they did is for selfish reasons, so they are the only ones to sell the overpriced non-standard accessories. According to Wiki, we should be using OD 5.5 mm and ID 3.3 mm plug. Moto should be required to fix any broken port any time. I will not buy their chargers, because of $ and no 90° plugs. It's only 12 v for god sakes, straight from the car port. By the way the nearest standard size plug is 2.35 mm x 0.7 mm, not Moto made plug!
