Mar 29, 2012Kudos to the designer who made the Full Screen Battery Meter you get when you plug it in using the wall charger after it has shut down due to depleted battery. I don't know if this has always been there or if you also get it if you plug it in to your computer after a full discharge or when you plug it in to the wall charger after you power off (without depleting the battery fully). But it sure is a nice touch - a really smooth animated battery meter that fills the entire screen for the little over an hour that it takes to charge from 0% to 100%. Well done, Team MotoACTV

Oct 17, 2012The unit worked normally for my workout yesterday. This morning I tried to turn it on for my workout, and nothing happens. I plugged it into the computer to see if I had inadvertently killed the battery. The white charging light comes on, but the display doesn't show the battery percentage graphic, and nothing happens when I push the power button. The Motorola charger is at home, so I can't try that until after work.

Jan 1, 2012Is anyone aware of any BLE(bluetooth low energy)/low power consumption stereo headsets? I am currently using a Jabra Clipper but I'm certain it does not support BLE. As after an hour and 40 minute indoor run with Moto's chest strapped HRM, display always on, backlight all the way down, sampling set to two seconds, my MA only has 50% battery remaining after starting fully charged.8GB running .78

Dec 9, 2011Received a new 16GB Motoactv this evening. Completed set up of MotoCast on my MAC. Unit was working fine, GPS / Radio etc.
Then checked for software update, it found 4.56.76, downloaded the sw and started to update. After about 30mins the MAC had a box saying updating, do not disconnect and the screen of the unit seems to be cycling. Initially I'd see the red batwings then an image of the unit and the progress bar underneath. The yellow moves about 1/3 along the bar then stops, after a minute or so the unit seems to power cycle > batwings > and so on....
After about 45 mins I disconnected the unit from the USB/MAC, tried a start + pwr reset but I still only get to this cycling mode (batwings > image + progress bar). Unit was charged for about an hour before I started the initial set up.
Motorola Motoactv :: Are Pace & Power Zone Templates Not Working
May 11, 2012I've had a MOTOACTIVE for about a month now and I still haven't gotten to grips with the Pace & Power Zone settings. I could be wrong but to me it seems like they're just not working.In the Pace Zone settings the lower and upper limits are all set to meaningless values and I've tried a number of times to set them manually with no luck. Then the Power Zones Templates are completely blank and I am unable to set anything at all.

Sep 2, 2012Am I missing something here? Should the MotoACTV bike speed/cadence sensor be tracking power/watts itself of is there another accessory that I need to get? It's recording all other info without difficulty. I've only used it about 3 times but always get a 0/0 when it comes to the power/watts reading.

Oct 21, 2012Purchased a MotoActv brand new from eBay about 3 months ago. The best product to date i have used for tracking my gym session.I have noticed that everytime i press the power button, the volume increase and the music section starts ups. Very hard to track my gym work majority of the time as it stops the start button to work.I have updated to the latest version, no change in behaviour.Powering off is not an option as it automatically goes into bootloader mode, very hard to get it out of bootloader mode.

Oct 28, 2012This is the only phone that i've had that does not allow the option to link the notification and ringtone volume together. it's really inconvenient to use the volume rocker to adjust the volume of the ringtone, only to have to go deep in to settings to adjust the notitication volume as well.At least on my nexus 7, there's a mini setting when you hit the volume rocker that allows you to adjust the playback and notification volumes from your current screen. i hope that gets added to the JB build of this phone, if we cant link.

Doing that allowed me to use Smart Actions to lower the volume of my phone when at work, or make it go completely silent when at school. After upgrading to ICS I no longer have the ability to link the two volumes (see attached photo). How can I link the two volumes again and continue using Smart Actions. (note I want to try and not use third party apps to do something that was an included feature, ex: using another profile management app to disable notification sounds.)

Aug 7, 2012I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

May 31, 2012Somewhat confused as to why my Curve is now not allowing me to link any email accounts to the phone via the Setup function. I am on a plan that allows this with O2 and I have confirmed this with their support team.
Essentially, if I go onto the Menu then Setup and Email Settings I'm presented with a screen titled "BlackBerry Internet Service" and "Existing Users".
I have tried my BIS username and password, individual account username and passwords but neither work. Strangely if I put an email account address in and click on 'Ok' I get an error saying the entire field is empty.. which it isn't.

Apr 6, 2010Sorry if this has been addressed already; I did a quick search and didn’t find an answer to my problem. Feel free to point me to the relevant thread if I missed it.We have two iPhones, and both are now experiencing the same problem. The battery meter shows that the battery is fully charged, but then all of a sudden the phone complains that it’s out of charge and dies. While the battery doesn’t last quite as long as it used to, it still seems to last a couple of days (for my normal usage) between charges. It just doesn’t give notice that the charge is going down, which is a problem if we’re not paying attention.
Is anyone else having this problem? Both our phones are doing the same thing now. Any fixes? Is this a sign that our batteries are dying?
