I sold my Droid at an online site. I haven't used it in several months. I went to delete my info before packing it up ...and can't remember my password. How do I (a) recover/reset my pass, or (b) wipe the info by pulling the battery, etc, so I don't have to login?
After the OTA update on Sunday, my Menu Key no longer works. The response is:Sorry! The application Launcher (process.com.modaco.android.launchergb) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.Force close Report
I use Droid 3 in Australia. My droid is only 6 months old, was working fine on 3G until recently.know if there is a setting to check whether 3G would be turned off. I checked that Data was enabled and it is.
I updated to GB yesterday, and today I realized a lot of my contacts are gone. I looked through a lot of info on this forum, but there is so much I can't zero in on my issue. Has this been discussed, if so can you point me to the thread
My SD card recently fail so I lost all my photos and music. I only had a couple of pictures but there was 1 that I really wanted to keep. I just installed my new SD card.
What I am hoping to find out is that the picture I wanted the most is still showing on the Photo Gallery start page/ Desk Top, or what ever it is called on a phone. Where is this image coming from and can I save it back to my gallery?
after a year (or more) without a lot of my thumbnails, I finally figured out how to restore them.I'm not sure when, or how they got corrupted, but for the longest time, I haven't had all my thumbnails working on my phone. They would regenerate (slowly) at runtime, which made browsing painful at best.Searching online gave me mixed results of things that didn't work. Finally, this seemed to work for me:At your home screen, press the options menu button then press "Manage Apps" Then select "All" Scroll down to "Media Storage" and select it Click "Clear Data" I then went into "Gallery" app, which showed NO photos, and NO albums! OUCH! Don't worry, we're not done.I then took one photo with my camera (I'm not sure if this step is needed).Exit the camera and enter the Gallery again. You will see your new photo.Wait a while, your gallery will be rebuilt and all thumbnails are regenerated... it took a few minutes for me.NOTE This procedure will delete any saved albums that you have created. It won't delete the pictures (They will all be there in the "All Photos" and "All Videos" albums, but you will have to recreate any separate albums that you had previously.I can now browse my photos and videos again without having to wait for my thumbnails to be regenerated at run time! After they were all regenerated, I rebooted my phone to be sure they were still there, they were! Now if I could just make up my mind between upgrading to the Razr Maxxx HD, or the S G S3! Tough choice for me, I keep waffling back and forth! ;)
I downloaded the last update for my Droid X. Since then the FM radio app is gone. If i click on it, it says it is not installed. how to get it back without doing a factory reset?
Every time I plug in my charger and every time my phone reboots, I lose apps. In particular I lose Apps2sd and Zumocast. I've also lost my remote desktop app as well.
I had the Razr Maxx HD for a couple of months without any problems. After updating to JB, I now have a consistent problem with the phone freezing and then rebooting whenever I move out of one of my Wi-Fi APN connections. For example, while at home and connected to my home Wi-Fi, the phone is fine. As soon as I walk outside and leave my Wi-Fi coverage area, the phone will freeze. A few minutes later it will reboot on its own. Same thing at work. When I enter one of my "remembered" Wi-Fi APN coverage areas, the phone will connect OK and work OK through Wi-Fi, but as soon as I leave the area, it freezes. If I disable W-Fi, no more problems.
An exception to this is that recently I stayed several days at a hotel and connected to the hotel's Wi-Fi, and had no problems whatsoever when I left the hotel on numerous occassions.
I'm not sure if it is a phone problem or network problem but over the last 3 or 4 months I'm not getting texts from people. At first it was rare but now it has been happening more often. People keep thinking I'm ignoring them but I'm simply not getting them.
Android has been a long for a long time now. New market and everything, yet there is still no way for the Android Market to reliably and consistently recover apps? I had to get a new number today, and surprise it wiped my phone clean. In the past I've had the market redownload all of my apps, however the last few times it has not. What is the easiest way to recover lost apps from the market??
My phone has lost most (not all) of the apps icons on one of my profiles. All of the stock apps stayed intact but the majority of the downloaded apps have disappeared. The app is still in the main menu and works fine.
One of the major reasons for me buying the Droid Razr, was because it had the Bluetooth "MAP" Profile.SMS messages would sync directly to my car. The BMW Voice Module would read the messages to me.This use to work with my car, but since the software Maintence Upgrayyde, I have lost this function. 2012 BMW with Bluetooth.
Just got my Droid X2, and reguardless of what my profile says this is not my first phone...have had them since old bag phones.. but anyway when I try to put in my password..it keeps putting in a 1 when I am trying to put in a small cap l .. besides changing my password to something wothout the letter l . and yes I am sure that I am not using the numbers?
I was messing around with vpn and it had me put in a password to lock the screen.I tried to disable the screen lockout but there doesnt seem to be any way to disable it.I enter the password under security, and there is no option for it.
Starting late this afternoon, I lost all data connections except wifi. Verizon support told me an outage is nationwide for phones with LTE. As I am typing this, LTE is back for now after a 6+ hour outage. Hopefully Verizon fixed the lte/cdma problems that have been a problem for a couple of weeks.
On Bionic the Music app is just "Music". The Google cloud music app is "Music". Having apps with exactly the same name is problematic. (Voice commands and such) One had to go and only one could be uninstalled. A simple app update could possibly be an easy fix. At a Verizon store today I was checking out the RAZR. The OS music app on the RAZR is "My Music". Lost Confidence Bionic Will Get Timely Updates
I am currently using a Droid RAZR but would like to switch back to my Droid 2 Global for a short time. On the Verizon site I get a message during activation saying my unlimited data plan is not compatible and I am given other data options. Unlimited is included in the list so I am not worried about switching TO the old phone. My question is this:
If you are reactivating a 4G device coming from a 3G-only device, will you lose your grandfathered unlimited data plan on Verizon?
I was just using the Bionic to check email when bang, everything disapeared. o email screen, no phone icon or other bottom row and now notifications. All I had was 3 or 4 icons per screen and I could look at the screens double tapping the home and getting the big view. But most apps were missing from the home pages though and none would start. I finally realized that I was seeing a zoomed image of the home page scroller screens.I tried everything to get to the apps drawer but couldn't. I wanted to snap a screengrabber.I had to shut it down, restart and phone is back to normal. The image I'm attaching is mocked up from a capture I made with no background. Wish I could have captured it for real.
My Droid Razr HD lost sync with both my gmail and yahoo email today. It came up as a sync error.I then enter my passwords for both accounts and they then restore only to immediately give me a sync error. Tried deleting the email app cache and data,no avail. Deleted and added the accounts and got the same thing. I then logged into the verizonwireless website and deleted and added them on there. Same issue. An error pops up asking me to select one of the accounts below to re-validate my account. The account name is based on an existing email address which is associated with your verizon account. It also pops up sometimes that username and password are incorrect which they aren't.
I entered a password pattern hoping I could dump the goofy swipe lock in favor of the password pattern. Now I find out I can't get rid of the lock page or the password pattern. So I am swiping the lock page and then doing the password pattern.
I just moved up to the Droid 3 from a BB Storm 2, does the droid have a setting to automatically enter my voicemail password when i call to retrieve messages?
So, I have finally admitted it to myself, I'm getting old. Since our IT department doesn't want to combine applications for the ability to have one password to open everything, it is not really their fault, laws prohibit this. So to keep track of the four dozen passwords I habe at work, and two or three dozen personal ones, the spreadshhet has been made. It works OK at work, but when I'm home, it becomes a bit of a pain. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good quality password managing application. The only two criteria that I have is, it has to be encrypted, and I need to be able to pair it to my DX2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and have the ability to access it on a computer. My initial thought is a good Excel file, that I can jot a couple lines of code to lock it down
Today I discovered the reason I am unable to use the Corporate Sync application is due to the fact that the password input field is limited to 50 characters. While I realize this length may already seem extreme, it is still a silly limitation which is likely just a simple hard-coded value in the application. Could someone at Motorola please remove this silly limitation and provide a build which is not contrained to a length which is within the allowable string length of a Windows password?
Tried to sign in on regular account received note saying email sent, did not get. clicked forgot password, received message sent email to reset password, did not get
I just picked up a Turbo after retiring my Razr M. No matter how many times I did a factory reset on the Razr M, every Wi-Fi that I've ever connected to would reamain listed in the "Manage Networks" tab (including the saved passwords). Thought I read somewhere that Google saves all this information under your gmail account.
