I use Droid 3 in Australia. My droid is only 6 months old, was working fine on 3G until recently.know if there is a setting to check whether 3G would be turned off. I checked that Data was enabled and it is.
I lost my slide lock capabilities with with I am guessing a bad app. I still can't get it to work and have come to the conclusion that I need to do a Factory Data Reset. My question is what happens when I do this? Do I lose contacts...pics and music? Sounds bad but I miss the slide lock feature...
I have over 3000 contacts. When entering a name in the search field, the Razr only seems to search for the FIRST word in a contact field. Because I have so many contacts, I input key words in contact fields. Either in first name, last name or company. I may have the persons name in the last & first name fields and in the company field I may input their company name and or simply input several key words to remember them by... such as where I met them, how I remember them, etc. Now, my iphone will search for ANY of these words in the contacts fields, however my new Razr seems to only pick up the FIRST WORD in each field. With as many contacts as I have, I cannot depend on searching this way! COME ON!?, Really? Am I doing something wrong?
I upgraded my OS this weekend to 6.0. I cannot send or receive emails on my device now, nor do I even have the icon for my email accounts anymore. I tried to go through setup to verify them, but I keep getting a messag that says, "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again."
I used to be on an enterprise server, but no longer use that email, but I have always been able to continue using my other accounts. I don't know if that makes a difference at all, but I mention it so the response I get doesn't include activating my enterprise server.
I get a Star shaped thing in the notifier bar on the top. When I pull it down it says "Meet Local Singles" I hit clear but it keeps coming back every day. Is there a list of Apps that do this? My most recent app is QRDroid so I did delete that. The others (MANY others) are months old but update frequently so how would I know? I've heard about Droid Wall but I need apps to access internet for weather info, movie info, xfinity listings etc so I don't want an app that randomly blocks internet access for apps that legitimately need it. Could it be Call Blocker (Easy Filter) app?
SO i was going to wipe my cache again, seeing if i have some knd of improvement. turned off the phone booted into the recovery splash page, selected recovery. And my phone just sits on the android with the red triangle then reboots.
I had my droid 4 on and charging as always last night and when I woke up this morning the SD card is reporting as blank or unsupported. Power cycle of phone hasn't helped. I'm working on tracking down a micro sd adapter to check via a pc.
I have been using my Droid X problem free for about a month but this morning my phone completely stopped vibrating. It worked properly when my alarms went off around 7 AM but when I got to work around 8:30 there was no notification vibrations, no haptic feedback, and the phone didn't vibrate when I set it to vibrate mode. I didn't touch the phone at all between the time I woke up and the time I pulled it out at work (except to shut the alarms off) so I'm just very confused as to why all of a sudden the vibrate will not function. I have tried rebooting, battery pulls, and changed every vibration setting I could find but to no avail.
My Bionic has been wonderful since I got it in September. Starting (I think) yesterday, it is very slow.As an example, after I enter my 4 digit code, it sits for a second or two before I shows me the home screen.I also noticed that when I come back in, it's always on the main screen. It used to be one the screen that was showing when I turned it off.I was thinking it is probably some app update I got, but the homescreen thing makes me think not.Short of a master reset, does anyone have any ideas as to what might be happening, or how to trace it?
In the past 3 days this % of battery usage has gone up dramatically. Close to 50% on 3 different charge cycles. No new apps installed and nothing new under running apps that I'd normally have to manually kill. (I've disabled most all of what I can of bloatware)
My email suddenly has stopped being forwarded to my phone, a feature I think known as data push. In settings, I see that data push is not supported for my email account but I can't understand what happened because all my emails have been forwarding to my phone for a year and then suddenly stopped.
so i thought to believe that the atrix was capable of 720p video playback. i tried to test it by downloading a hd Internet video @ 720p. then i transferred it to my atrix via usb cable. when i tried to play the video it just gave me an error message telling me that it couldn't play it. i was a bit disappointed to see that it's having problems. now, i'm not sure if it's the default video player, software issue, or hardware issue? either hd video couldn't play or it just freezes while audio plays?
I've had the Droid Turbo for a few months now, and the battery life has been great. It was the biggest reason I bought this phone in the first place. Over the past two days, however, the battery life has DRAMATICALLY downgraded. At 11 p.m. last night, I had 58% battery life with no apps running. The phone was in sleep mode. That much battery should have been able to get me through last night and ALL of TODAY. This morning, I check my phone, and I'm at 22% with the phone not in use for 8 hours.
All of the bells and whistles on this device are turned off. I don't have the reach out display thing turned on where it recognizes your movement. The screen is only taking up 30% of the battery draw. I have the bare minimum notifications turned on - the rest are off. My system did NOT update within the last two days. The battery simply seems to be freaking out.
My Razr has suddenly started the ringer volume bar coming up on the screen by itself. I can only get it off the screen by turning my phone off and then back on again. Then after a period of time, it comes back up again. This is killing my battery life.
For no apparent reason my screen won't auto rotate in apps. It does auto rotate when docked. I've switched the auto rotate in settings on and off several times, pulled the battery, even installed an auto rotate switch app...nothing. It's really tough to read my news feeds when I can't rotate and zoom.
I sold my Droid at an online site. I haven't used it in several months. I went to delete my info before packing it up ...and can't remember my password. How do I (a) recover/reset my pass, or (b) wipe the info by pulling the battery, etc, so I don't have to login?
After the OTA update on Sunday, my Menu Key no longer works. The response is:Sorry! The application Launcher (process.com.modaco.android.launchergb) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.Force close Report
I updated to GB yesterday, and today I realized a lot of my contacts are gone. I looked through a lot of info on this forum, but there is so much I can't zero in on my issue. Has this been discussed, if so can you point me to the thread
My SD card recently fail so I lost all my photos and music. I only had a couple of pictures but there was 1 that I really wanted to keep. I just installed my new SD card.
What I am hoping to find out is that the picture I wanted the most is still showing on the Photo Gallery start page/ Desk Top, or what ever it is called on a phone. Where is this image coming from and can I save it back to my gallery?
after a year (or more) without a lot of my thumbnails, I finally figured out how to restore them.I'm not sure when, or how they got corrupted, but for the longest time, I haven't had all my thumbnails working on my phone. They would regenerate (slowly) at runtime, which made browsing painful at best.Searching online gave me mixed results of things that didn't work. Finally, this seemed to work for me:At your home screen, press the options menu button then press "Manage Apps" Then select "All" Scroll down to "Media Storage" and select it Click "Clear Data" I then went into "Gallery" app, which showed NO photos, and NO albums! OUCH! Don't worry, we're not done.I then took one photo with my camera (I'm not sure if this step is needed).Exit the camera and enter the Gallery again. You will see your new photo.Wait a while, your gallery will be rebuilt and all thumbnails are regenerated... it took a few minutes for me.NOTE This procedure will delete any saved albums that you have created. It won't delete the pictures (They will all be there in the "All Photos" and "All Videos" albums, but you will have to recreate any separate albums that you had previously.I can now browse my photos and videos again without having to wait for my thumbnails to be regenerated at run time! After they were all regenerated, I rebooted my phone to be sure they were still there, they were! Now if I could just make up my mind between upgrading to the Razr Maxxx HD, or the S G S3! Tough choice for me, I keep waffling back and forth! ;)
I downloaded the last update for my Droid X. Since then the FM radio app is gone. If i click on it, it says it is not installed. how to get it back without doing a factory reset?
Every time I plug in my charger and every time my phone reboots, I lose apps. In particular I lose Apps2sd and Zumocast. I've also lost my remote desktop app as well.
I had the Razr Maxx HD for a couple of months without any problems. After updating to JB, I now have a consistent problem with the phone freezing and then rebooting whenever I move out of one of my Wi-Fi APN connections. For example, while at home and connected to my home Wi-Fi, the phone is fine. As soon as I walk outside and leave my Wi-Fi coverage area, the phone will freeze. A few minutes later it will reboot on its own. Same thing at work. When I enter one of my "remembered" Wi-Fi APN coverage areas, the phone will connect OK and work OK through Wi-Fi, but as soon as I leave the area, it freezes. If I disable W-Fi, no more problems.
An exception to this is that recently I stayed several days at a hotel and connected to the hotel's Wi-Fi, and had no problems whatsoever when I left the hotel on numerous occassions.
I'm not sure if it is a phone problem or network problem but over the last 3 or 4 months I'm not getting texts from people. At first it was rare but now it has been happening more often. People keep thinking I'm ignoring them but I'm simply not getting them.
Android has been a long for a long time now. New market and everything, yet there is still no way for the Android Market to reliably and consistently recover apps? I had to get a new number today, and surprise it wiped my phone clean. In the past I've had the market redownload all of my apps, however the last few times it has not. What is the easiest way to recover lost apps from the market??
My phone has lost most (not all) of the apps icons on one of my profiles. All of the stock apps stayed intact but the majority of the downloaded apps have disappeared. The app is still in the main menu and works fine.
One of the major reasons for me buying the Droid Razr, was because it had the Bluetooth "MAP" Profile.SMS messages would sync directly to my car. The BMW Voice Module would read the messages to me.This use to work with my car, but since the software Maintence Upgrayyde, I have lost this function. 2012 BMW with Bluetooth.
