My SD card recently fail so I lost all my photos and music. I only had a couple of pictures but there was 1 that I really wanted to keep. I just installed my new SD card.
What I am hoping to find out is that the picture I wanted the most is still showing on the Photo Gallery start page/ Desk Top, or what ever it is called on a phone. Where is this image coming from and can I save it back to my gallery?
The new Android release has removed the ability in the music player to stop a song, and you can no longer clear out a playlist (I don't mean deleting a playlist, I mean clearing one out, which essentially stopped music from being played). Tech support level 2 told me that this was purposely done by the engineers at Motorola, but I have no idea why, and I can't seem to get in touch with them.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S5, unrooted, and I have been using a Samsung Evo 32 GB MicroSD card since I bought the phone in July. About a week ago I went to check for a photo and found that all of my photo albums that were stored on the MicroSD card were not found, along with all of my music and ringtones. When I looked at the storage, it didn't read my MicroSD card at all.
I turned off the phone, took out the microSD card, and put it into my Samsung Galaxy TabPro tablet, but my tablet read no data at all on the MicroSD card.
I tried to put the MicroSD card into an adapter to look at it on my laptop, but the adapter software said the card had to be formatted before it could be opened in Windows, so I dropped that idea for now.
How to have my card readable again or at least be able to retrieve the photos that were on the card? I had transferred a lot of personal and important photos onto the card (recent weddings of friends and family, pictures of my dog, etc.), and I'll be pretty upset if that's all truly lost forever.
Motorola's My Music app is having issues finding my music. If I view the albums for an artist, they all appear, but if I play that artist, some of them can't be found. Sometimes I try again, and these albums play. Once I even noticed that all of the albums appeared but songs were missing, and then when I looked at the album list again, the ones that weren't playing weren't listed. Then they appear again. The most troubling part is that these songs are in the same folder on my sd card.

Just the other day all of my contacts names and pics were gone but now have reappeared. I beleive this happened after I powerd the phone off. When I turned it back on there were updates that I installed but it seems to have happened like the next day or so. Is there anyway to get my stuff back? I can't find it anywhere in the phone. The first time it happened I loss all of my Easter pics. This can't be normal right? The only thing that remains in my phone are my blackberry transfers.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just tried syncing music to my MotoACTV. It was going along fine, and then I got an error along the lines of "There is a network failure on drive F:. The data is lost." I have done a factory reset, and have uninstalled and reinstalled the motocast software. When I try to sync, it goes through the "Analyzing files" stage and then gets to "Syncing Music to Device" and freezes. I have tried syncing several different playlists, and nothing works.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat I finding is happening is that images (captured with the camera in the DCIM folder) and MP3s are being removed and placed into the LOST.DIR folder of the SD Card (internal memory isn't a problem). For example, the most recent occurrence was where by I copied on 4GB of music onto the phone and then a short time later after disconnecting the USB cable, I found that quite a number (2.7GB) of the files disappeared into the LOST.DIR folder.
I verified that the files were the orignal MP3's by changing the extension of the files to .mp3 and was able to play the file. Other times I've taken a photo with the camera and saved the JPG on the SD card, a few days later the file disappeared. The problem has occurred on Android version 2.3.5 and even now after updating to 2.3.6. I don't have any 3rd party music or photo apps. The SD Card is a 32GB Kingston class 10 card which I formatted in the phone before copying any data to it.
I use Droid 3 in Australia. My droid is only 6 months old, was working fine on 3G until recently.know if there is a setting to check whether 3G would be turned off. I checked that Data was enabled and it is.

View 6 Replies View Relatedafter a year (or more) without a lot of my thumbnails, I finally figured out how to restore them.I'm not sure when, or how they got corrupted, but for the longest time, I haven't had all my thumbnails working on my phone. They would regenerate (slowly) at runtime, which made browsing painful at best.Searching online gave me mixed results of things that didn't work.Finally, this seemed to work for me:At your home screen, press the options menu button then press "Manage Apps" Then select "All" Scroll down to "Media Storage" and select it Click "Clear Data" I then went into "Gallery" app, which showed NO photos, and NO albums! OUCH! Don't worry, we're not done.I then took one photo with my camera (I'm not sure if this step is needed).Exit the camera and enter the Gallery again. You will see your new photo.Wait a while, your gallery will be rebuilt and all thumbnails are regenerated... it took a few minutes for me.NOTE This procedure will delete any saved albums that you have created. It won't delete the pictures (They will all be there in the "All Photos" and "All Videos" albums, but you will have to recreate any separate albums that you had previously.I can now browse my photos and videos again without having to wait for my thumbnails to be regenerated at run time!After they were all regenerated, I rebooted my phone to be sure they were still there, they were!Now if I could just make up my mind between upgrading to the Razr Maxxx HD, or the S G S3! Tough choice for me, I keep waffling back and forth! ;)

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had the Razr Maxx HD for a couple of months without any problems. After updating to JB, I now have a consistent problem with the phone freezing and then rebooting whenever I move out of one of my Wi-Fi APN connections. For example, while at home and connected to my home Wi-Fi, the phone is fine. As soon as I walk outside and leave my Wi-Fi coverage area, the phone will freeze. A few minutes later it will reboot on its own. Same thing at work. When I enter one of my "remembered" Wi-Fi APN coverage areas, the phone will connect OK and work OK through Wi-Fi, but as soon as I leave the area, it freezes. If I disable W-Fi, no more problems.
An exception to this is that recently I stayed several days at a hotel and connected to the hotel's Wi-Fi, and had no problems whatsoever when I left the hotel on numerous occassions.
I'm not sure if it is a phone problem or network problem but over the last 3 or 4 months I'm not getting texts from people. At first it was rare but now it has been happening more often. People keep thinking I'm ignoring them but I'm simply not getting them.

As I am typing this, LTE is back for now after a 6+ hour outage. Hopefully Verizon fixed the lte/cdma problems that have been a problem for a couple of weeks.

(Voice commands and such) One had to go and only one could be uninstalled. A simple app update could possibly be an easy fix. At a Verizon store today I was checking out the RAZR. On the Verizon site I get a message during activation saying my unlimited data plan is not compatible and I am given other data options. Unlimited is included in the list so I am not worried about switching TO the old phone. My question is this:
If you are reactivating a 4G device coming from a 3G-only device, will you lose your grandfathered unlimited data plan on Verizon?

I was just using the Bionic to check email when bang, everything disapeared. o email screen, no phone icon or other bottom row and now notifications.All I had was 3 or 4 icons per screen and I could look at the screens double tapping the home and getting the big view. But most apps were missing from the home pages though and none would start. I finally realized that I was seeing a zoomed image of the home page scroller screens.I tried everything to get to the apps drawer but couldn't. I wanted to snap a screengrabber.I had to shut it down, restart and phone is back to normal.The image I'm attaching is mocked up from a capture I made with no background. Wish I could have captured it for real.

It came up as a sync error.I then enter my passwords for both accounts and they then restore only to immediately give me a sync error. Tried deleting the email app cache and data,no avail. Deleted and added the accounts and got the same thing. I then logged into the verizonwireless website and deleted and added them on there. Same issue.An error pops up asking me to select one of the accounts below to re-validate my account.The account name is based on an existing email address which is associated with your verizon account. It also pops up sometimes that username and password are incorrect which they aren't.
