View 4 RepliesAny one have any luck getting the FIOS Remote app working on their Bionic? I got it downloaded and followed all the directions but it wouldn't sync up. Home net is a std Verizon issued router (only thing custom is the net name, channel, and crypto key) and the Bionic is able to get on the wifi no problem.

They have an easy toggle add on that you can go back and forth between mobile and desktop modes very quickly. If you must have the stock Android browser I have a trick for you too. Open up stock browser, in the url type "about:debug" Nothing will appear to happen. Now press menu>More>Settings>(in debug area) UAString>Desktop. You may have to refresh the Page for the new settings to take effect. Now you are surfing in desktop mode!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if it is a phone problem or network problem but over the last 3 or 4 months I'm not getting texts from people. At first it was rare but now it has been happening more often. People keep thinking I'm ignoring them but I'm simply not getting them.
View 3 Replies View RelatedStarting late this afternoon, I lost all data connections except wifi. Verizon support told me an outage is nationwide for phones with LTE. As I am typing this, LTE is back for now after a 6+ hour outage. Hopefully Verizon fixed the lte/cdma problems that have been a problem for a couple of weeks.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOn Bionic the Music app is just "Music". The Google cloud music app is "Music". Having apps with exactly the same name is problematic. (Voice commands and such) One had to go and only one could be uninstalled. A simple app update could possibly be an easy fix. At a Verizon store today I was checking out the RAZR. The OS music app on the RAZR is "My Music". Lost Confidence Bionic Will Get Timely Updates
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was just using the Bionic to check email when bang, everything disapeared. o email screen, no phone icon or other bottom row and now notifications. All I had was 3 or 4 icons per screen and I could look at the screens double tapping the home and getting the big view. But most apps were missing from the home pages though and none would start. I finally realized that I was seeing a zoomed image of the home page scroller screens.I tried everything to get to the apps drawer but couldn't. I wanted to snap a screengrabber.I had to shut it down, restart and phone is back to normal. The image I'm attaching is mocked up from a capture I made with no background. Wish I could have captured it for real.

Now with the standard Widget It had the little green Light like it was on but it Disappeared out of my Notification Bar, and it would not even reconnect even toggling the bluetooth on and off. A reset seemed to fix it but it was kind of Random.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to 5.5.893 when I put my Droid into the desk top charger the screen will not stay illuminated. It times out just as if I were holding it in my hand. I like to be able to glance up from my work wnd see whether I have email waiting. Now I have to "wake the phone up" to check it. Maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere but this was never an issue prior to the software update.
View 12 Replies View RelatedWith the recent Honeycomb updates to allow for USB hubs, Keyboards, Mice, gamepads, etc, has any of them been updated in order to take advantage of this. And even more has anyone who uses any of these seen if they can handle running your games properly from a remote location? I ask because I think it would be fun to be able to run some of my Steam games over a buddy's house on my Xoom without having to pack up my laptop but I am not sure if the programs can keep up. I know that there is software capable of doing such (Onlive [I realize this is a subscription service and different context]) but was wondering if we can accomplish this on our own yet via one of the many programs in the Market.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI got my Xoom primarily to access my database and bookmarked & annotated PDFs during client home visits and SS hearings without bringing a laptop. Of course, the Verizon salesperson said I could do all that. But, I could not find a PDF reader that retains bookmarks . My files are sometimes 400-600 or more pages long. I can't scroll through page by page to quickly find what I need using docs to go.
I set up remote desktop for Xoom (phonemypc) as an alternative. This works great(except for brief lags in response times) but I have to enlarge the view on my Xoom to read the remotely controlled monitor screen. I can't see a whole page at once because of this. If, though, I try to scroll in any of the remote desk top views, the Xoom screen moves. I don't want my Xoom screen to move. I want to move within the program on my remote desktop.
Will a bluetooth mouse enable me to use scroll bars without moving the Xoom screen? Or is there an app or method for stopping the Xoom screen from moving when I try to slide a scroll bar on my remote desktop screen? (trying to pull up the traditional right click menu on a scroll bar is a hit and miss experience and it takes multiple tries to get where I need to go in a document--it's too slow).
I've had this twice now where I couldn't get a GPS signal. This never happened on my Droid 1, but has happened twice in less than 30 days (two different phones - since I replaced the first one when this happened). This has been in 2 completely different locations.
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy only "complaint" is that whenever a call comes in or when I make a call, it always has it on the phonespeaker and not over the car dock audio connected to the radio. I have to press the speaker button to turn it off each time.way to have it default to the speaker being off?
View 10 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of any surefire way to transfer files to and from the Bionic to a windows 7 PC?
I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa. Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).
I can get a 4G signal rarely in home. At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?

View 8 Replies View RelatedGmail is my email. I long ago disabled the "conversation" (threaded) view of messages in Gmail iitself on the web, and in settings on any device. However, I can't find a way to do this on the Bionic. There's no option in accounts > Gmail. I HATE having the emails strung together like they were text messages. One of the major issues is losing attachments (ex: photos) in earlier emails once additional ones have been added to the "thread."
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave experienced this with a couple of applications (Freecaddie Pro and My Tracks) the program is suppose to store to SD card and it saves to internal memory. Spoke to the developer of Freecaddie and he checked and it is suppose to save courses to SD but Bionic saves to Internal Memory. With My Tracks even when I pick "Save to SD card" is saves it to Internal Memory. What is up with that and is there a way to correct it?I know my SD card is working because I have moved pics and music to it without a problem.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe sales literature for the RAZR MAXX HD promised the inclusion of "government-grade encryption" and a "remote wipe application" that would allow me to locate and remotely wipe the device.I was able to encrypt the phone under Android's Security settings menu, but I do not see any application or setting to enable remote wipe. Similarly, when I sign into Motorola's online customer portal, I do not see any options for locating or wiping the device. Finally, when I attempt to sign in at [URL], I get a response saying that no devices are associated with my account.how to access Motorola's "remote wipe" application as described in the product literature (as well as the "government-grade encryption", if different than Android's native encryption).

I wiped out my Bionic and then re-set everything up, and it was working fine until I added my FB account, and then removed the account. Now I can't add any new accounts at all.
I used Google's https: market.android.com to transfer all my apps from my Droid 1 to my Bionic. By and large it was seemless and quick. However, less than half of my Gallery pictures made it over. Because the Gallery is a stock app and not in the marketplace it is not on the the above market transfer desktop application.I also have astro and estrong on my device.

I get a white screen, and see no virtual Nokia Interface. ( I wrote 2 times to Remote Professional since I have a registred version. I did never get an answer))) Is there a decent software application wich provides this functionality without problems. I have an older WM 5 device, and that is more reliable than this Nokia Device, it misses however radio and max SD card space for 2 GB but the virtual PDA on my Netbook was running without problems.
