I lost my slide lock capabilities with with I am guessing a bad app. I still can't get it to work and have come to the conclusion that I need to do a Factory Data Reset. My question is what happens when I do this? Do I lose contacts...pics and music? Sounds bad but I miss the slide lock feature...

View 4 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my OS this weekend to 6.0. I cannot send or receive emails on my device now, nor do I even have the icon for my email accounts anymore. I tried to go through setup to verify them, but I keep getting a messag that says, "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again."
I used to be on an enterprise server, but no longer use that email, but I have always been able to continue using my other accounts. I don't know if that makes a difference at all, but I mention it so the response I get doesn't include activating my enterprise server.
I'm having trouble with my lock screen, when I go to unlock it I have to slide it numerous times to unlock it.I don't know if it is a problem with the screen or a software issue.

I can then unlock my phone by selecting a Notification. As you can see in the picture I am able pull down the Notification Curtain while my phone is locked.

I have a question I just recently got a new Electrify and some how the screen swipe lock has gotten diabled.The only way I can have the swipe lock work is if I set up the security lock with a pattern or pin. I dont want the security lock as a option I just want the swipe lock to keep me from accidently pushing buttons on the phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have noticed recently that my Electrify will lose it's data and Wifi connection when it is in sleep mode long enough. I have the sleep policy set to never and it still will only show the 4 bars for cell tower and that's it. After waking it up from sleep and giving it some time, it will reconnect to either 3g or to wireless. What do I have set wrong that it won't keep a connection in sleep mode?

I prefer that the only screen lock on my phone is the slider, but suddenly this option has gone away. When I hit the lock button, I expect that my phone's screen will go off and in order to turn it back on, I need to hit the lock button again and slide to unlock it. I do not want to enter a pattern, a pin, or a password. In order to get the slide lock to consistently show up after hitting the lock button, I need to add a pattern, pin or password. The slide lock will show up, but I also have to enter the pattern, pin or password after unlocking with the slide lock if the security lock timer setting has elapsed.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter my last thread which pointed out I was just simply lookin in the wrong place I bet there is a pretty easy solution for this too, I just can't seem to find it.Currently when unlocking my phone, I have to do the slide to unlock, and then input my pattern to unlock. I want my phone so that when I only have to do the pattern.The security options on the phone allow for "None", "Pattern", "Password", and "Pin". It says nothing of the slide to unlock feature and I can not figure out how to turn the thing off.

I like the MultiLing keyboard, but I've had one issue that has come up in only the last couple weeks. I'll select the MultiLing keyboard as my input choice, but a short time later, the keyboard has changed back to the standard keyboard.

I check my google calendar which is syncing fine and see all of my past appointements, however they are gone from the phone. View 2 Replies View RelatedIam a Uscc agent and I have a customer with the electrify and their phone is dying within a couple of hours and only sending a couple of text messages and making one phone call I have given a battery swap and checked the phone for any bad apps but there were no additional applications installed and settings do not seem out of place and compared it to mine that I have abd everything matches and mine lasts me an entire day of heavy use. I am just wondering if there is anything else that could be draining the battery or a way to fix it?

Needless to say, the piano app that I use.( for jotting down quick ideas, I am a music director at my church and a songwriter) is nearly unusable because piano often uses more than two fingers. I know that the hacking community has been able to enable up to 8 points if multitouch. Is this going to be enabled for this phone? I would hate to get rid of it since I love everything else about it, and have no problems at all with any functionality. ( aside from that whole pesky multitouch thing).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI often switch the feature to have to slide the screen lock to use the phone on or off. It's currently off and I can't find the menu item to turn it on again! Where was it again? I've got a standard Motorola Defy 2.2.By the way - the only reason I'm always switching it around is because when I'm expecting a lot of calls/texts, I turn it on. Because when I get a text and the phone's in my pocket, I often press something when taking it out as getting a text/call unlocks the screen.For the rest of the time - I find it irritating to have to press the power button and then slide the screen - why both? It's not like it's hard to accidentally press the power button on the Defy!In a way - that "in pocket detection" option sounds ideal but I found it kept cutting in when I didn't want it to.Maybe I can do something with that "tasker" app so that when I press the power button, it unlocks the screen.where is that screen lock option again?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAm working in China where I bought a N97 last year. When pulling the phone out of the wallet (supplied by Nokia) last week the slide lock split and fell off. When my secretary took it to the Care Centre to get it fixed (her Chinese is better than mine) they charged RMB200 (about 20 pounds) to repair it. Is this normal? They said that even though the lock was probably faulty I could not prove it.When I called Nokia Care all they could say was 'this is our policy in China'. I like the phone but cannot stand the Nokia customer service these days.

View 4 Replies View Relatedso i thought to believe that the atrix was capable of 720p video playback. i tried to test it by downloading a hd Internet video @ 720p. then i transferred it to my atrix via usb cable. when i tried to play the video it just gave me an error message telling me that it couldn't play it. i was a bit disappointed to see that it's having problems. now, i'm not sure if it's the default video player, software issue, or hardware issue? either hd video couldn't play or it just freezes while audio plays?
