I just picked up a Turbo after retiring my Razr M. No matter how many times I did a factory reset on the Razr M, every Wi-Fi that I've ever connected to would reamain listed in the "Manage Networks" tab (including the saved passwords). Thought I read somewhere that Google saves all this information under your gmail account.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWith all of my previous Android devices, I could go into my wifi setting and get to a list of ALL saved networks, even if they are out of range. From there I could tell the device to forget old/random networks that I don't plan to connect to regularly (e.g. coffee shops, doctor's offices, etc). I haven't been able to find that ability on my Galaxy S6.
When I go to wifi settings, I get a list of all networks in range, and I can tap (or long press) and forget those. But I can't find anyway to get to a list of saved networks that are out of range.
My phone will no longer automatically connect to saved WiFi networks. It knows they're there, because if I go to Settings -> WiFi, it shows up in the list as a "saved" one. Tapping on it and selecting "connect" does nothing. I have to turn off the WiFi and turn it back on, and it will then automatically connect.
Additionally, WiFi will not stay off. If I'm some place I don't want it to connect to WiFi, I turn it off so that I don't get messages that networks are available (specifically when I'm driving, it's really annoying to deal with that over Waze).
I've got a Sprint GS5, running stock (not rooted), on 5.0. No updates available for the phone. It does this on every WiFi network I have saved (home, school, and school apartment, among others). I've also tried turning Smart Switch off and on, it makes no difference for either issue.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn Froyo Wireless works fine 100% of the time, on Gingerbread it randomly drops internet, locks data/internet until wifi is disabled, loses all awareness of networks around it, etc..I have tried resetting my whole network system, changed all security settings, WPA, WPA2, nothing works.Here are some photos of the phone doing it. Want to add that the router is on the other side of the wall, not 5 feet from me. Works 100% in Froyo, but the pictures show what happens in Gingerbread. Yes Wi-Fi never sleep is on, and even if it wasnt it should auto connect when it becomes active again, which it doesnt. the pictures show, you can see wi-fi is on but for some reason dropped connection and no longer detects any wireless networks at all, when there are easily 5-8 around me at all times.All i did was disable then reenable wifi and it detected all networks and connected again though it will not be long until it happens again.

Normally that would make sense, but I've been on WiFi the entire time my phone has been off the charger. As the screenshots show, both the WiFi and cell standby are sucking juice at the same time.

My tablet struggles to keep the hard drive spinning over OTG, but my phone powers it just fine. Problem is, the Chromecast needs a WiFi network to connect to, so I turn on the hotspot on the phone. When I do that, I have to disable WiFi on the phone, so it can't see the Chromecast.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, I used to be able to listen to music at work without using my data plan. I could just connect to the guest wifi. Selecting the "Click to connect" would bring up the web page where we log in and I was up and running. Now when I select "Click to connect", I just get a big lock with a cross through it. Selecting "Use network as is" doesn't do anything.

When the phone doesn't have a good signal or is trying to pick between wifi & cellular, my Turbo lags & temporarily freezes. I just have to wait a good 30 seconds or so for it to free up. This happens constantly. It's gotten much worse lately.

I believe I have since narrowed it down to occur only when I am at my office and connected to the office Apple airport WiFi.
I am on my second device and don't think returning will be useful as it must be software.
Since I installed the 5.1 update, I've noticed in the stock battery stats that wifi displays as always on, with a solid green line across the screen, even when wifi is off AND disconnected from any wifi signal. I don't seem to have a drain on the battery as a result, but I don't have a clue why it would show up like this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to delete two entries on Safari's Saved Passwords (on Passwords and AutoFill) on my iPhone and iPad.Those two entries appear on both my iOS devices (iPhone 5 and iPad 3, both running the latest iOS available).
I've already set "Settings>Safari>Passwords and AutoFill>Names and Passwords (OFF)".Every time I delete them from my "Saved Passwords" list, they disappear only for instances. I exit and re-enter "Saved Passwords", and they're back on the list.
Both have the website just as "https://". These entries were not created by me...at least directly, since on of the emails has @t-com.de termination, which I've never used before.I already have my "Keychain" on iCloud turn off. Never did any jailbreak on any device, and now I'm starting to worry if this is a security issue of some kind.Â

View 7 Replies View RelatedI had the Razr Maxx HD for a couple of months without any problems. After updating to JB, I now have a consistent problem with the phone freezing and then rebooting whenever I move out of one of my Wi-Fi APN connections. For example, while at home and connected to my home Wi-Fi, the phone is fine. As soon as I walk outside and leave my Wi-Fi coverage area, the phone will freeze. A few minutes later it will reboot on its own. Same thing at work. When I enter one of my "remembered" Wi-Fi APN coverage areas, the phone will connect OK and work OK through Wi-Fi, but as soon as I leave the area, it freezes. If I disable W-Fi, no more problems.
An exception to this is that recently I stayed several days at a hotel and connected to the hotel's Wi-Fi, and had no problems whatsoever when I left the hotel on numerous occassions.
Starting late this afternoon, I lost all data connections except wifi. Verizon support told me an outage is nationwide for phones with LTE. As I am typing this, LTE is back for now after a 6+ hour outage. Hopefully Verizon fixed the lte/cdma problems that have been a problem for a couple of weeks.

If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!
