Sep 12, 2015None of my push notifications come through when I am on Wifi. This did not start until I updated the phone.

View 4 RepliesWhen I try to send an email via my yahoo account on my phone (which is my main default email account), the address won't come up. It started doing this a couple of weeks ago. It will display 2-3 addresses that I must have used a few weeks ago as "suggested addresses" but won't pull up any others.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Droid Turbo has stopped receiving push notifications from several apps including Twitter and Gmail. I was recently out of town this weekend and ever since the 2nd day of my vacation my phone has stopped receiving push notifications.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI've been enjoying my new Galaxy S6 for the past couple days but one thing I've noticed is that I'm not receiving any Gmail push notifications. I only ever notice new emails getting pulled in when I open the Gmail (or Inbox) app, and it executes a refresh now that the app is open. If I'm not using the app or my phone's screen is off -- nothing.
I've tried a number of different things, including making sure Power Saving mode is turned off and ensuring that auto sync is enabled for my Google account. I've also made sure that all the appropriate Gmail labels are set to notify me.
One thing I've noticed, in the process of discovery for my Gmail issues, is that when looking at my Google sync information on my phone, the "last synced at" time is usually very out of date.. sometimes it's a couple hours ago, sometimes it's a day ago. I'm wondering if my phone is for some reason just not polling on a regular, more reasonable interval.
FYI I'm getting push notifications from other apps (including Hangouts) as expected.
Since updating to Lollipop. my Exchange contacts are not syncing in my phone's stored contacts or with any apps outside of the stock email app. I have the "Sync contacts" box checked in the email app settings.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAs the title says, I have a Droid Turbo that will not send emails with a few photos coming to about 15 MB. Same thing happens with our Razr M and Droid Minis, but my iPhone 6 doesn't seem to have an issue. Thought I could do something similar as the iPhone and choose what size I want the photos to be when I send (to at least make the email smaller), but I can't seem to find anything like that either. We are running Exchange 2010 and do not have any email size requirements set for incoming/outgoing mail or for the ActiveSync policy. They just sit in the Outbox until I delete them.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I delete emails from my pc on my old earthlink account (yes, I still use an earthlink account, got too much stuff linked to it still) it doesn't remove them from my Turbo email folder. Not sure if I'm missing a setting or what but my old Droid DNA synced just fine. I'm using the default email app on the phone. I'm tired of seeing a ton of emails on my phone but only having 10 in my inbox via my pc.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn Kit Kat, when I looked at a contact, all of the information for that contact was displayed, including multiple phone numbers. With Lollipop, contacts that have multiple phone numbers now only display one phone number and there is a "see all" button that I need to push to see the additional phone numbers. I have tried to find a setting that would make it so all of the information was displayed but can't find one. Other than downloading a new contacts app...
View 5 Replies View Relatedhow to stop email notifications from coming through? In edit preferences --> email notification preferences I have set everything to "no" yet everything still keeps coming through. After the volume of discussions after the GB release my inbox was blowing up but turning off notifications appears to have no effect...they still keep coming!!
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to disable the motion sensor from constantly waking the phone, without losing notifications for email/texts/etc?
I have disabled all the moto actions, but the clock screen is still constantly coming up whenever the phone moves, such as when I'm walking or it is sitting on the passenger seat in my car! I can make it stop by disabling moto display, but since there's no LED to notify me when I get a text or email, I'll never know....
it is not a part of "Moto Display", it is actually the screen after it where you have to press the power button.
see attached pic
how do i get rid of these "notifications"? (text messages, e-mails, etc..)
they just suddenly appeared after the 5.1 update.
Any reason why all of a sudden I am not getting notifications when I am on my home WiFi? It's weird, and I can't find a setting that would be causing this.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Turbo has, for some reason, halted all Gmail related activity. As of this morning all was well. As of the last few hours, all is NOT well.
I no longer:
hear my chosen (or ANY) notification sound upon delivery
receive the on-screen notification via Moto Display (when screen is dark)
receive the on-screen notification in my notification bar
see the unread mail count (TeslaUnread Plugin) on the Gmail app icon
receive new email messages automatically PERIOD.
The only way I can know I have a new message in my inbox is if I open the Gmail app and click to manually refresh!
My Turbo did download and apply two app updates today: Golden Glass Icon Pack HD and Motorola Camera. I find it highly unlikely, but are one of these responsible?
I still do not know this phone I inside and out.. so any areas or settings to check (and how to check them) that you believe may be causing my Gmail Meltdown!!
i can not receive sound notifications while on the phone for text.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have not been receiving any notifications from Instagram. If I reinstall the app it will work briefly, but then I stop receiving them again. Other notifications work fine.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just finished a full wipe and chose to set up everything from scratch and not from Google backup. I know how to set up sounds for within each messaging app. But I can't find where to change it for Gmail app emails.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have just switched to Droid Turbo a few days back. I don't get any sound notifications for any text messages (Google Hangout), whatsapp, gmail when I am talking on the phone. I have tried to change every possible Sound settings but I haven't been able to fix it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIf I set my phone to either vibrate or be silent, when I get a text or whats app or some other sort of notification, it rings instead of vibrate. I like the phone to be quiet in certain environments and this is killing me. I have had droid razors before and never had this issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis may or may not be a Turbo-only issue, same qualifier for Lollipop as well. But, it is noticed, so I ask.
When I put an event on the stock Google Calendar, I specifically have my settings to say NO notifications. I look at the event when created and it has NO notifications. Yet 10 minutes before the event like clockwork, boom, notification.
I'm going to go into the desktop version of Calendar and see what I can do there, but this notification stuff is annoying.
I got an early release on the Fitbit Surge. Its awesome so far except my smartphone, a Motorola Droid Turbo, will not currently sync notifications for text and phone calls. I've emailed them asking about the problem. They say it is because "the Fitbit app is not currently supported by the Motorola Droid Turbo." The smart phone compatible list on their website does not show my phone, however the app works just fine and even syncs everything else the surge has to offer. Fitbit says they are working closely with smart phone manufactures to work out the Bluetooth 4.0 problems. The only instance that the I have any trouble is when I check the text and call notifications box in the Fitbit app for my surge.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a T-Mobile S6 and when I'm connected to WIFI, hangouts notifications do not get pushed. I have to manually open hangouts and all of the notifications come flooding in. Never see this issue with WIFI off.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAny way to change the interval that the screen wakes up to show you what notifications you have? I really don't need a reminder every 10 seconds.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was just notified of a software update (61.3MB) and am downloading it now. Hopefully it will fix the push notifications on WiFi.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI have an LG G3 with the latest Android OS (5.0.1) and latest application updates as well. Verizon is my carrier. This problem started occurring after I updated to the latest OS, and it is quite strange.
There are a selection of apps that will NOT send me push notifications over WIFI. Say, when I leave for work, and my phone transfers to 4G LTE, my phone BLOWS UP with notifications from apps like Snapchat, Twitter, Google Hangouts, ESPN, MLB AT BAT, etc. It seems like Telegram, Texting, KIK, and Facebook Messenger are the only apps that properly send me notifications over Wifi. Here's what's even stranger: I have two Gmail accounts attached to my Gmail app. One account sends me push notifications over Wifi just fine, but the other will only send me push notifications over 4G LTE.
I've noticed that when sitting at home, one of my biggest idle battery drains is cell standby. Normally that would make sense, but I've been on WiFi the entire time my phone has been off the charger. As the screenshots show, both the WiFi and cell standby are sucking juice at the same time.
View 14 Replies View RelatedSeems that the wifi and cellular networks get crossed or linked together. When one of them loses connection, they both go down and both icons show exclamation marks. Happens randomly. Sometimes when i disable the wifi, my 4g loses connection momentarily.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid Turbo and I want screen cast to my Chromecast some TV recordings I have on a hard drive. My tablet struggles to keep the hard drive spinning over OTG, but my phone powers it just fine. Problem is, the Chromecast needs a WiFi network to connect to, so I turn on the hotspot on the phone. When I do that, I have to disable WiFi on the phone, so it can't see the Chromecast.
