On the iPhone, is there a way to view stored wireless passwords?
A friend of mine forgets his wifi password and it would be far easier for me to look it up than for him to try and find the right menu in the router!
When I was there last I looked it up for him and added it to my phone to test it.

No matter how many times I did a factory reset on the Razr M, every Wi-Fi that I've ever connected to would reamain listed in the "Manage Networks" tab (including the saved passwords). Thought I read somewhere that Google saves all this information under your gmail account.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to delete two entries on Safari's Saved Passwords (on Passwords and AutoFill) on my iPhone and iPad.Those two entries appear on both my iOS devices (iPhone 5 and iPad 3, both running the latest iOS available).
I've already set "Settings>Safari>Passwords and AutoFill>Names and Passwords (OFF)".Every time I delete them from my "Saved Passwords" list, they disappear only for instances. I exit and re-enter "Saved Passwords", and they're back on the list.
Both have the website just as "https://". These entries were not created by me...at least directly, since on of the emails has @t-com.de termination, which I've never used before.I already have my "Keychain" on iCloud turn off. Never did any jailbreak on any device, and now I'm starting to worry if this is a security issue of some kind.Â

I recently used social networks of the new opera mini 7.I logged in and logged out of the social network shortcut and found that all saved user names and passwords removed/deleted.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is a really silly question. It used to be easy to find your Wifi and network usage under settings, but I can not find them anymore. Usage now has been taken over by iCloud etc. and about is too top level. The usage used to be along side the up-time since last boot.

When restarted my computer and reconnects my iPhone, it now prompts saying that iPhone in recovery mode and I must restore before it can be used with iTunes. I am very sure there's 2 backup copies in my (default designated) computer folder, with one being dated 12Mar (the day of updating). I browsed the computer folder while waiting for the downloads in iTunes.
However the backup folder is now empty!! and I can't restore to any previous backup, and my phone cannot be turn on. The iTunes restore button asked if I wanted to restore to original factory settings. How could this happen?!! My Recycle bin has this item "iPhone3,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore.ipsw".
How can I retreive my previous phone backup, or just return to iOS5.0.1 with its data prior to the 5.1?

Z2 has work perfectly for months on our work wifi network. One day came up with msg wifi networks available, clicked on it, clicked to connect to saved network, and just says saved and doesn't connect.
Tried forgetting and reconnecting
Tried restarts
Defiantly isn't the router as others are connected. Is this a fault where my phone will need to be sent back?
I can't seem to find my saved WiFi networks when I'm not around them. I believe before there was an option for that in Android. I would like to delete some of the WiFi networks I connected to before. Where can I find the list of remembered WiFi networks on S6 G920F?

After I came back, I found there is no way to forget the saved wifi as I could not find it in my Wifi network list. There is a menu icon to see Saved Wifi when goes to Wifi Setting for the other mobile phone with Android Lollipop from other manufacturer, but that icon is missing from Samsung Galaxy S6. Is there any other way for me to forget those wifi networks saved in other place?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with my 4G Xoom; I've visited Tim Hortons and Dunkin Donuts, and have logged onto their free wifi, but each store uses the same SSID, and if I pull into the parking lot, my Xoom switches from 4G to wifi to connect. Now I believe the saved profiles are corrupted on my Xoom, as when I leave these establishments, my Xoom will not automatically go back to 4G, and requires a reboot to switch over. I would like to just clear my wifi settings and saved hotspots, but can't find a way to do this. I just wiped and restored my tablet, but it restored all of my hotspot settings and reloaded them. Also, the "forget" command is only available when you are within range of a hotspot

View 2 Replies View RelatedWith all of my previous Android devices, I could go into my wifi setting and get to a list of ALL saved networks, even if they are out of range. From there I could tell the device to forget old/random networks that I don't plan to connect to regularly (e.g. coffee shops, doctor's offices, etc). I haven't been able to find that ability on my Galaxy S6.
When I go to wifi settings, I get a list of all networks in range, and I can tap (or long press) and forget those. But I can't find anyway to get to a list of saved networks that are out of range.
My phone will no longer automatically connect to saved WiFi networks. It knows they're there, because if I go to Settings -> WiFi, it shows up in the list as a "saved" one. Tapping on it and selecting "connect" does nothing. I have to turn off the WiFi and turn it back on, and it will then automatically connect.
Additionally, WiFi will not stay off. If I'm some place I don't want it to connect to WiFi, I turn it off so that I don't get messages that networks are available (specifically when I'm driving, it's really annoying to deal with that over Waze).
I've got a Sprint GS5, running stock (not rooted), on 5.0. No updates available for the phone. It does this on every WiFi network I have saved (home, school, and school apartment, among others). I've also tried turning Smart Switch off and on, it makes no difference for either issue.
How to save passwords for all your password protected sights so you don't have to keep entering them over and over.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having some problems with my iPhone. I changed the password on it a while back and completely cannot remember what it is. I have iPhone 5S and haven't really used the password to unlock the phone since (I use the Touch ID). I couldn't get into my phone so I had to restore it. I remotely deleted it using find my iPhone because I was also having windows problems recognizing my phone. With a fresh install, I set up as a new phone and restored using an iCloud backup. I'm sure that during this process it asked me to set a new Touch ID as well as a new passcode, which I set to one that I use more frequently. I've used it for a bit now, and came to wanting to add my other fingerprints - it then asked me for my iPhone password. I entered what I thought it should be 4 times and then though hang on, has it changed my iPhone password? I then locked the device and entered the password it should have been set to a 5th time. That then activated the 'iPhone deactivated' screen, which has now disabled my Touch ID! I'm now locked out AGAIN, I'm assuming because the iCloud backup has restored a password that I can't remember, does this sound right?Â
how long erasing the phone, restoring, entering passcodes and wifi codes, restarting the whole icloud restore, and all the other bits of tinkering that you have to do, re-syncing 3000 tracks, letting photos redownload. I don't want to waste time doing this a third time...can you confirm/clarify whether it does pull over the previous passcode?Â

I downloaded an app called "the vault - secure document and data storage" I recently updated it and now the app crashes every time i enter the last digit of my password. I tried to find the app on itunes to contact the creators but now I can't find it and when ever I google the apps name the apple.com link to the app gives me an error saying the app is no longer available. how I could contact the makers of the app so I can try to contact them and get some help getting into the app that saves all my passwords? or maybe a work around so I can get in and write them all down to transfer to a new app?
