This feature doesn't appear to work. At least not when I put the phone in my poclet. How is it supposed to work? Does it detect the absence of light? Maybe my pocket isn't dark enough?

Tapping my way through "Go to all settings" > "Accounts" > "Google". I see my gmail account shown, and under that it says "Sync is OFF". Before the update to Jellybean I could find where to turn this on and off. Further tapping on my account name I get to a screen titled "Sync" at the top-left. The options icon gives me "Sync now" and "Remove account" options. The screen is filled with a list of Google things I can sync. Tapping any of those syncs that Google thing. But, none of them are configurable.
View 4 Replies View Relatedhow to turn off the new Automatic Wifi Feature that was releases with ICS? I think it is great that the phone can turn on Wifi when you are close to it, but it would be real nice if you could set it to turn on only when near certain Wifi Networks, or even turn if off for that matter.
Short of waiting for the Auto Wifi menu to eventually pop up and ask how you want to use it, does anyone know where to actually go in the settings to do it when you want to and not when ICS decides to give you the pop up?
It is real frustrating since it does NOT shut itself off when you leave a Wifi Zone and there is no apparent way to set it to turn on only when near your Wifi zones which makes this feature more of an annoyance then a feature.
There is a setting to enable the RAZR to automatically keep its time correct by syncing with a time server somewhere on the internet. When I checked the time on my RAZR against my PC, where I have a service that sets the time from an atomic clock, I found that the RAZR was off by more than 14 seconds. I disabled the option and instead installed an app called "ClockSync" that sets the correct time. Unfortunately, the automatic time update setting is required by Verizon in order to login to My Verizon Mobile, so I either give up checking my data and call usage or I give up accurate time. This is very annoying. Can we get Verizon to use a reliable time server instead of whatever they are using now?

Since updating to Jelly Bean, the automatic brightness feature is downright terrible. It makes using my phone on a daily basis extremely frustrating. It is too aggressive when switching between bright / dim modes, and tends to make the brightness "flicker." I also wish the phone didn't bump the screen brightness up / down rapidly. Why can't it gently fade it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince the last automatic Droid Razr update a few weeks ago it is very complicated to mark all unread emails as read! It was easy to do before but after this update it seems not to work! If go to my main email account I can sort the email by date, unread, or other options. I select by unread. I then press the menu key and select "select all". Then some iconw appear in the bottom: a trash, a mail, and a flag. I select the mail one and it opens up and the word "mark read" appears but the messages don't clear as read. It used to work without issues before the update.

View 4 Replies View RelatedBy default, calling voicemail dials *86. On my last several phones, I was able to program in a pause and my password. Well, I put that information in, but everytime I press the voicemail button, it only dials *86. When I check my settings, my information is there, but it just won't dial that. Is there somewhere else that I need to enter the information?
View 4 Replies View RelatedHave a Droid X which will randomly drain its battery in an hour or two due to the com. motorola.blur.service.main consuming 100% of the CPU.I am unable to determine any trigger for this event. On most occasions my only warning of this occurring is that the phone will become very hot due to the CPU load. This event will typically occur every day or every other day. This behavior has occurred with all versions of Gingerbread. It behaved properly on Froyo and Eclair. The first occurrence of this behavior coincided with the original Gingerbread update.Phone is and always has been running a complete stock OS (not rooted). The phone is in perfect condition with no physical damage of any kind.
The process in question and coincidental rapid loss of battery capacity has been verified via SystemPanel. This phone is NOT running any type of automatic/interval task killer, virus scanner, or any other snake-oil type battery improvement software.(SystemPanel is not an automatic task killer, it is simply recording per-process CPU consumption/battery drain at 15 minute intervals). The phone is used almost exclusively for business-related tasks, i.e., as a phone, for email, calendaring, and occasional web browsing.
On my Droid Turbo when someone leaves me a voicemail they are limited to 3 minutes. I have an advisor that leaves pre recorded messages that can be longer than that. Is there any way to increase the time?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am wondering if there is a way to get rid of or disable visual voicemail on my Turbo? It is getting annoying any time I get a voicemail and the phone tries to default me to visual voicemail instead of standard (non visual) voicemail.
Also, is it now the norm for voicemail messages to be "read" as to the exact time/date/length of the voicemail? Or is that a component of visual voicemail? My messages often take longer to "load" than to listen to the actual vm itself since it is telling me what day it was sent, what time, how long, etc
This past week my phone has been sending some calls straight to voicemail without even listing that someone called (no one in the recent call list). I'm trying to figure out if this is a network issue or a software/hardware issue. I've made sure that none of the callers I've missed are on the "straight to voicemail option" (I actually don't have that setting for anyone). I've checked my sound options to make sure they are turned up (and made sure it's not set to priority...I hate that new lollipop feature), and I've checked the radio signal strength. Everything seems to be in order. I tried to call the person back who left me the message and it rang several times, then gave me an error message saying that the call couldn't be completed. This happened twice and then I finally got through the third time. After that I made a call to someone else to see if it went through. It did.
View 10 Replies View RelatedThis happened a short time ago. The notification for my voice mail popped up after a call. I listened, deleted the message and the notification will not go away. I have cleared out all of my saved messages and rebooted twice and it's still there. How to clear this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen i receive work voicemail messages on bionic they are sent in mp3 format and when I select them to listen to them the bionic opens the mp3 player but it won't play the message and the message is not in my song lineup. how to hear the message without downloading it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I both have the Razr Maxx. On day one, we attached our Google Voice accounts to our new Verizon accounts. A couple of days ago, a Verizon voicemail notification showed up on my wife's phone, my phone is working fine.
When I click on the notfication icon, it dials *86 and I just get the voicemail greeting from Voice and it allow me to leave a voicemail, which is very strange. The icon "New Voicemail(1)" will not go away. There is no delete option. I tried hitting 7 in call to delete the message. I even tried to force close the app and clear cache. I have searched Google and several phone forums. I even unregistered her Voice and registered it again.
There appear to be two ways to get to voicemail on the Bionic (regular voicemail, not visual voicemail which I don't use). The first way is to pull down the notification bar when the voicemail icon shows up there, then press it to check the voicemail. The second is the voicemail app which is on the phone. Pressing that app icon brings up another screen that says call voicemail and also tries to sell you the Verizon visual voicemail service.
After getting the phone, I went to Settings, Call Settings, Voicemail Settings and inserted some pauses and my password so that when I dial voicemail I don't have to do anything but listed to the first message. After doing this I sent myself a test voicemail to verify that it was working properly. When I use the first way described above, it works fine - just like it used to work on the OG Droid. I press the notification button and the phone automatically dials voicemail, puts in my information, and I hear the voicemail without having to interact with the phone.
When I use the voicemail app, it does not appear to pick up the settings I inserted, all it does is dial *86. As a result, it wants me to enter my password before letting me listen to the voicemail. Is there some place I can enter the same settings that work with the other method into the voicemail app so it works the same way or do I just delete the icon from my home screen and use the old tried and true method. I cannot find any place that I can enter setting information into the app.
I installed 5.1 without issues but I have noticed what appears to be a bug with voicemail. I had a voicemail left for me, listened to it, and deleted it yet the icon persistently shows up in the notification bar. I also have no voicemails in Google Voice. I can clear it in Settings>Apps but it reappears every time I start the phone. I have rebooted the phone, and cleared the cache partition to no effect.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo on kitkat i had the voicemail icon stuck. i use google voice, and i think this is just a standard verizon voicemail icon. I've checked and there are no new voicemails.
I figured when i upgraded to lollipop it would go away. well guess what, it didn't. so i did a factory reset, and now it's back.
I found that by deleting the data and wiping the cache on one of the 4 phone apps, i'm able to get rid of it, but then when i reset the device it comes back.
I went into the settings->call settings->voicemail settings and changed the voicemail number to be *86,,0000 (replace 0000 with my actual voicemail pin) so that it would dial, then pause (twice), then send my pin. This works if I use the #1 speed dial shortcut to voicemail, or if I just use my contacts entry for voicemail.
It doesn't work if I use the voicemail app shortcut that is on the home screen. Does anyone know a way to get that voicemail app shortcut on the home screen to use the voicemail settings?
On the first gen droid you could send a number directly to voicemail, or have a silent ring. However, I cannot figure out how to do it on the Droid Razr...There is no option, and it will not allow me to create a Smart Action to do so, either. If you know
