When i receive work voicemail messages on bionic they are sent in mp3 format and when I select them to listen to them the bionic opens the mp3 player but it won't play the message and the message is not in my song lineup. how to hear the message without downloading it?
View 2 RepliesWhen I go to "My Accounts" on my Droid Bionic, and then click on "Add account", I get the error message "Sorry! The application My Accounts (process com.motorola.setup) has stopped unexpectedly."
I wiped out my Bionic and then re-set everything up, and it was working fine until I added my FB account, and then removed the account. Now I can't add any new accounts at all.
There appear to be two ways to get to voicemail on the Bionic (regular voicemail, not visual voicemail which I don't use). The first way is to pull down the notification bar when the voicemail icon shows up there, then press it to check the voicemail. The second is the voicemail app which is on the phone. Pressing that app icon brings up another screen that says call voicemail and also tries to sell you the Verizon visual voicemail service.
After getting the phone, I went to Settings, Call Settings, Voicemail Settings and inserted some pauses and my password so that when I dial voicemail I don't have to do anything but listed to the first message. After doing this I sent myself a test voicemail to verify that it was working properly. When I use the first way described above, it works fine - just like it used to work on the OG Droid. I press the notification button and the phone automatically dials voicemail, puts in my information, and I hear the voicemail without having to interact with the phone.
When I use the voicemail app, it does not appear to pick up the settings I inserted, all it does is dial *86. As a result, it wants me to enter my password before letting me listen to the voicemail. Is there some place I can enter the same settings that work with the other method into the voicemail app so it works the same way or do I just delete the icon from my home screen and use the old tried and true method. I cannot find any place that I can enter setting information into the app.
I went into the settings->call settings->voicemail settings and changed the voicemail number to be *86,,0000 (replace 0000 with my actual voicemail pin) so that it would dial, then pause (twice), then send my pin. This works if I use the #1 speed dial shortcut to voicemail, or if I just use my contacts entry for voicemail.
It doesn't work if I use the voicemail app shortcut that is on the home screen. Does anyone know a way to get that voicemail app shortcut on the home screen to use the voicemail settings?
I'm not sure if it is a phone problem or network problem but over the last 3 or 4 months I'm not getting texts from people. At first it was rare but now it has been happening more often. People keep thinking I'm ignoring them but I'm simply not getting them.

Numbers in my contact list, however, have *82 programed in front of the number so friends, etc. will know it is me calling. This works fine when I call a contact, but, when I try to text the same number, I get the error "The message must contain valid recipients and content" and am unable to send the text. If I manually enter the same number without the *82, I can send the text, but, nobody knows who it is from, because, my umber will not be revealed. View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have a problem (perhaps since .905, maybe an update before that) with Text Messages not being shown as being read after you've read them? It is getting really annoying... I get a text message, I read it, and I go to look at a new text message and there it is looking all Unread! It may even make an indicator appear in the top bar (but I'm not 100% positive about that). I've seen this problem arise on PC's in Outlook, but it's definitely never been a problem of mine with cell phones before.

I have vibrate on text message receipt turned on. My phone will vibrate indicating I have received a message but there is nothing in the notification bar or in the list of text messages. I know that it is a failure to receive because I often text people asking them if they just texted me and I almost always find who it was. They resend and I get it. I can't seem to find a trend as to what the root cause may be. Is this a known issue that is expected to get addressed in one of the upcoming patches or do I need to report it to Motorola to look into?
I have a Droid Bionic, and ever since i got the phone, i randomly do not get text messages from another user with an Iphone on the Verizon network. It may be happening with other phones, but I'm only aware of the Iphone because she lives with me. Anyone else having issues with not being able to receive texts? I get no notification or anything. It's as if they weren't sent, but they went through on the originating phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs usual, went to look at phone, BSOD, green blinking light. Battery pull, reboot. Don't know why the green light was blinking, there were no new messages, on the phone after the reboot. Ok, now after the reboot I had no data connecetion at all now. Took about 10 minutes, I kept playing with the settings and the data finally came back. It was 4G full bars, go figure. Im in Las Vegas not a new fringe area. I can take any issure or bug with this phone except this one, where the phone goes dead and you never know it. I just don't understand. Their actually gonna make me take it on the chin and go buy a different phone.

I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).
I can get a 4G signal rarely in home. At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?

Home net is a std Verizon issued router (only thing custom is the net name, channel, and crypto key) and the Bionic is able to get on the wifi no problem.

However, I can't find a way to do this on the Bionic. There's no option in accounts > Gmail. I HATE having the emails strung together like they were text messages. One of the major issues is losing attachments (ex: photos) in earlier emails once additional ones have been added to the "thread."

Spoke to the developer of Freecaddie and he checked and it is suppose to save courses to SD but Bionic saves to Internal Memory. With My Tracks even when I pick "Save to SD card" is saves it to Internal Memory. What is up with that and is there a way to correct it?I know my SD card is working because I have moved pics and music to it without a problem.

Instead, they show up with a blank message body and an htm doc attachment that can only be opened by downloading it and going into the messaging folder to open. If you try to open through the email they just pull up the Google browser which does not read the file. Is there an alternative email program or web browser that will allow either the message to appear in the email body (like it does on iPhones I have tried) or a browser that can read an htm file?

However, less than half of my Gallery pictures made it over. Because the Gallery is a stock app and not in the marketplace it is not on the the above market transfer desktop application.I also have astro and estrong on my device.

Now that I have changed a few things in my life, I would like to revise the opening greeting. I'm talking about the greeting that is on the unlock screen when you power up the droid. I have read extensively the setup instructions, the forums and such and cannot find the option I used to set it up originally. I thought it was in "settings/display" but the only settings there now are Brightness, Autorotate Screen, Animation, Screen Timeout, Wallpaper Settings and Roaming Banner.
Did an update wipeout my ability to change this greeting?
My wife and I both have Droid X2 currently running Android 2.3.3. Since the update, we can no longer get back to "home" while on the media dock if we were to open an application while on the dock. The only way to get there again is to re-dock the phone. Pushing the home button doesn't work, neither does tapping the notification item that says connected to multimedia dock.

Its there about a minute after boot. I use Advanced Task Kill to stop it, a minute later or so and its back. I used Optimize Tool Box to view the startup apps and Music is not one of them. Keep in mind, this is not a background service but the app itself.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to the Droid 3 a few days ago and I am so far pretty happy the only issue that I am having is that my car dock screen only pops up if the vehicle mount is connect to a charger and it is plugged into to the power. If I unplug it the regular home screen pops up. I am using a Motorola Droid 3 vehicle mount and a vehicle charger that came with my Droid to media package. It also happens with my daughter's Droid 3, so I don't know if the phones have an issue or the vehicle mount has an issue.
