Feb 6, 2012My only "complaint" is that whenever a call comes in or when I make a call, it always has it on the phonespeaker and not over the car dock audio connected to the radio. I have to press the speaker button to turn it off each time.way to have it default to the speaker being off?

Nov 28, 2011Does anyone know of any surefire way to transfer files to and from the Bionic to a windows 7 PC?
I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
Motorola Droid Bionic :: Can't Find My Location?
Dec 15, 2011Since the update I keep getting this notice that pops up saying my location can't be found. This is happening on a variety of apps from texting (GO) to just playing games. I have searched thru every app and nothing seems to be location based. My GPS is off and I don't use any social media apps needing location and location is also turned off on my camera. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?
Otherwise the update has made my phone a bit faster, the camera focus now works great but I am still dropping a data connection tho not constantly. My connection is alot stronger and I can at least pull 3 blue bars of 3G. I am not really happy that I am still dropping a connection. I can drop to zero bars while sitting in the same spot. It comes back faster but my phone had degraded to not being able to get back the connection for at least 5 minutes (airplane mode, shutting phone off, pulling battery).

Jan 31, 2013Recently, my location shows as Texas but am actually in Maryland. If I am using wi-fi, the location shows correctly. It shows incorrectly when on 4G. I tried rebooting, de-selecting location services settings and rebooting but still have this issue.

Dec 29, 2011Happens now at least once a day. I open the phone and there is the old red wallpaper in place of my chosen image.
Yesterday it would not let me change it back. I'd do the wallpaper selection routine and pick one of the other stock images, say set wallpaper and when I'm done the old red is still there. Then all of a sudden a few hours later it decides to let me change the image.

And my question is ... is there a way to set Google Music as default player that accepts bluetooth commands?My typical use case - when I try to play music using bluetooth system in my car, I have to manually open Google Music from the phohe, otherwise standard Motorola Music app would take over and play. And since there is no way to uninstall it, I have to stop motorola music app, switch to google music and manually start music there.

Sep 22, 2011My corporate voicemails are emailed as .wav file attachments. These .wav files played perfectly on my old droid x and play perfectly on my xoom. why they won't they play on my bionic? I used the stock music app on my droid x, double twist also worked. Double twist works great on my xoom tablet. Music nor double twist nor winamp work on my bionic.
Double Twist Error:
"Sorry the player does not support this type of audio file."
No Error with Music or Winamp, the file just does not play.

Sep 14, 2011ZumoCast is setup on both my Win7 PC and my Bionic. I can see most of my many files with the Bionic however when I try to view the files in the player the screen just goes black, like it's trying to play the files but nothing ever happens.Then when I press the back button, I get this msg "Error During video Playback" ZumoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format.

Sep 28, 2011I'm working with an XP machine and am always getting an immediate "failed" download when trying to get .asf files from my machine. I'd hate to have to convert all of these files. They do show up on the Bionic's option for stream or download and to begin transfer but just fail. Is there a way to get this to work.

Numbers in my contact list, however, have *82 programed in front of the number so friends, etc. will know it is me calling. This works fine when I call a contact, but, when I try to text the same number, I get the error "The message must contain valid recipients and content" and am unable to send the text. If I manually enter the same number without the *82, I can send the text, but, nobody knows who it is from, because, my umber will not be revealed. Aug 15, 2012Does anyone have a problem (perhaps since .905, maybe an update before that) with Text Messages not being shown as being read after you've read them? It is getting really annoying... I get a text message, I read it, and I go to look at a new text message and there it is looking all Unread! It may even make an indicator appear in the top bar (but I'm not 100% positive about that). I've seen this problem arise on PC's in Outlook, but it's definitely never been a problem of mine with cell phones before.

I have vibrate on text message receipt turned on. My phone will vibrate indicating I have received a message but there is nothing in the notification bar or in the list of text messages. I know that it is a failure to receive because I often text people asking them if they just texted me and I almost always find who it was. They resend and I get it. I can't seem to find a trend as to what the root cause may be. Is this a known issue that is expected to get addressed in one of the upcoming patches or do I need to report it to Motorola to look into?

Dec 15, 2011As usual, went to look at phone, BSOD, green blinking light. Battery pull, reboot. Don't know why the green light was blinking, there were no new messages, on the phone after the reboot. Ok, now after the reboot I had no data connecetion at all now. Took about 10 minutes, I kept playing with the settings and the data finally came back. It was 4G full bars, go figure. Im in Las Vegas not a new fringe area. I can take any issure or bug with this phone except this one, where the phone goes dead and you never know it. I just don't understand. Their actually gonna make me take it on the chin and go buy a different phone.

The address resolution can fall to a Range of addresses and blocks out the ability to use it im 1/2 mile increments at our work location. My phone appears to be accurate on gmaps to within 20 feet of my actual location. When I go to add the additional locations they all try to use the same app provided name. they are anywhere fromm 300 yards to one mile apart. Why can't it use a user defined name to stop the conflict? I have business uses for this if it is possilble. Like security guard tracking. The application finds the locations using GPS coordinates in place of addresses correctly but then converts to a street address thats not correct for a name...

Nov 17, 2011Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).
