Dec 12, 2015my screen started to do really strange things (beyond max brightness line on the right, then black lines on the right) before finally giving up the ghost and dying completely. Is there a way of pulling the data off the phone if you don't have any visual feedback? I've powered it off and on, so my first problem is the encrypted volume login, followed by the normal login, followed by getting to the USB setting pulldown to activate MTP. is there a good way of wiping the volume short of just unlocking the bootloader and formatting the data partition? does the bootloader need to be unlocked to do that?

Jan 29, 2012After putting my phone on charge last night, I woke up to my 9900 with a blank screen and a red light that blinks every couple of seconds. No amount of battery pulls would fix the problem. Upon researching for a solution I discovered that this issue is actually a very common problem with the 9900. At this rate, I don't really care about recovering my phone as it seems that the model is entirely unreliable anyway. Just want to know if anybody with this issue has been successful in retrieving files stored on their device. I recorded some important videos a few days back, and stupidly saved it directly onto the device instead of the memory card. Desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone with or without the battery inserted.

Sep 6, 2010There were some posts saying that you can get your GPS to work correctly if you "purge GPS data". I did the purge, powered down the phone 5 minutes and restarted. No result. I saw some others that say you have to reinstall the firmware. I think that if a Phone is sold claiming there is a GPS inside, it should work! To my understanding, what is needed is a complete instruction on how to make the GPS work. Furthermore it would be interesting to have a clear description on how to set parameters, what they mean, how to display satellites, etc.

Apr 21, 2010My phone told me i had to update it to new software.So I connected it to my computer (running win7).I started the nokia phone update software, which correctly identified my phone etc. It told me it was normal it could say the phone got disconnected.After a few minutes, it told me my phone was disconnected and I had to unplug it, unplug battery, put everything back in and press power for 1 second to resume updating. That doesn't workHard resetting with shift + space + backspace also doesn't work. The phone vibrates for a second and does nothing. I do see a little red light inside the navi-pad.

I figured going from one LG phone to another it would have worked fine, but I was never able to access the pictures on it. Now I still want to get the pictures off the card so I can then format it and move some of the new ones off my Dare as well. Mar 9, 2010Just installed a jb app that mentioned something about "quick unlock". I cannot recall the exact title but anyway it seems to have totally killed my 3GS.
Tried all the tricks I know but nothing works. Only the Apple icon will appear on the screen for about 20 seconds. ITunes does not detect the phone so I can not reset/restore it.If I try to recharge it, no battery icon appears.
