The camera froze today, and stupidly I pressed all the buttons randomly to see if it would unfreeze. I took the battery out and then recharged it.I got the message that it was fully recharged, unplugged the charger, got the Sony logo and then a "Goodbye" message.

View 1 Replies View Relatedso what happened was, I got my phone in the mail, I use it for a few hours with occasional texting and my friend calls me, and when I answer, the phone dies. I turn the phone on again to see the battery is dead and it dies again, and before it had 85% battery life left apparently. Now the phone is completely dead, when the charger is plugged in, the red light is on and solid (not flashing or anything), when it is plugged in the computer it is on and solid again, except the computer doesn't see its plugged in.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my W705a for about a year and a half now, and the other day I went to ring someone and couldn't hear a thing. So I put the loud speaker on and then I could hear them. So now, every time I make or receive a call, I have to use the loud speaker because nothing comes out of the normal ear speaker, it's dead. Has anyone else had this problem? I think my phone is out of warranty anyway, so I might just put up with it for another 6 months and get a new phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThere were some posts saying that you can get your GPS to work correctly if you "purge GPS data". I did the purge, powered down the phone 5 minutes and restarted. No result. I saw some others that say you have to reinstall the firmware. I think that if a Phone is sold claiming there is a GPS inside, it should work! To my understanding, what is needed is a complete instruction on how to make the GPS work. Furthermore it would be interesting to have a clear description on how to set parameters, what they mean, how to display satellites, etc.

And about 4 days ago, I just get dead button on C (for erase character) and the next day it just get worse. Another dead buttons on left button (option), Green button (call) and Red button (ended call). Not sure why it happen.
I found in the internet forum for the same problem but not solved. Also I have friend with same phone type and problem, bring to Sony Ericsson service and they have fix it. But the problem just back in next few days. They said the problem is on the flexible. I can't make a call with it.
Its been a while and my phone died literally after it got into water! I managed to revive it but the joystick died because it was covered with water reactions around its hardware area! I wanted to throw it away but i discovered i could navigate using numbers when am using ucweb application and some! The issue is on trying to change themes,settings in internet! I was wondering if there is a short cut to internet settings and others or even a patch to navigate using volume and camera top buttons! So far i have only seen a patch to adjust brightness using volume up and down...any luck or should i just throw it away!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a C902 that has just started to refuse to power up. It hasn't been modified or reflashed since new. I've removed the battery, SIM and memory card and then reinstalled the battery. On pressing power on, the phone vibrates briefly and then the blue shutter button on the side lights up. That is all it will do. It did complain of a memory issue just before. I have downloaded the Sony Update Service program and it says than an update is available. However, I really need to save the internal phone memory contents (i.e. phone contacts and text messages) as this process will wipe it clean. Sony's PC Suite won't connect to the phone as it refuses to power up. I'm hoping that someone knows of a utility that will connect to the phone like the Update Service program that will allow me to read the contacts and text messages directly from the phone memory. Is this possible? Is there another way, i.e. direct memory access. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page. What's important to me is that I can use the WLAN at university and I can't find any information about that on the Internet. Can anybody tell me about SE solutions? Another aspect that matters to me is the camera, it does not need to replace a normal camera, but the photos should be of a certain quality. I'm quite satisfied with my k800i on this point, but the resolution could be a bit higher.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs the title implies, I need to ask if there are varying kinds of Sony Ericsson LCD screens for the G705 or if there are variations in models made. Nearly 6 months ago I bought a Sony Ericsson G705 phone off eBay that only needed a new LCD screen. Well I purchased a screen off eBaand was good to go except for a few minor issues...
1.) The LCD screen had a thicker screen/border than the original so I had to mod it by taking off the white border around it.
2.) The ribbon that connects the LCD screen to the G705's keypad wasn't aligned correctly causing it to disconnect from the keypad every so often. This too I had to fix by sticking some paper underneath where the connector sits. It worked after the modifications but the end result is the keypad was raised causing issues where pushing the up key would force it to push the left key too. Unfortunately after awhile the screen stopped working likely due to the fact the different layers were separating. I gave in and bought a new screen from an online dealer elsewhere just to get scammed in the end with a broken LCD screen which they refused to replace claiming I cracked it. So now I've purchased a new screen of eBay yet this one has issues too, it's thinner than the first one I got, but has the same problem where the ribbon doesn't appear to be aligned correctly either. This time however, I get some ugly dead pixels in the lower left corner of the screen and the rest is completely jumbled with white lines going through it. I've already contacted the seller for an exchange and am about to lose all hope getting this phone working. Anyway, back to the topic. Do the screens in the G705 vary from region to region or between versions? When I got it I found the phone was from Hong Kong (firmware was HK anyway.) though the manual and included paperwork suggested it was from France. The screens I have purchased seemed to have varying differences between either the thickness is too wide, the ribbon doesn't fit the correct position, or some other incompatibility. I bought this phone.
I would like the name and phone displayed on screen when a call is coming in. Any ideas. Can't find a thing in the manual.
